I've owned and used an iPhone 6S (standard size) since it came out almost 4yrs ago. I was still "on the fence" about upgrading for an XS, but when the right deal came along on eBay, I took the plunge and have been delighted.In general, apps load noticably quicker on the XS than they did on my 6S, and the XS gives a lot more screen relative to the overall size of the handset which is not much bigger than my 6S.The 6S had a fantastic camera on it, and despite the XS's twin lens system, there's little improvement for most general snapshots or landscape photos if taken "as is". Where the XS makes a difference is the post-shot editing features, such as the adjustable depth of field and the colour filters.For me,

I waited to find the iPhone XS at around the £700 mark. eBay was offering a 10% discount when I saw the phone for £805 so it bought it down to a better price.The phone is excellent and is a good change from my iPhone 6S. I wanted a phone with a better camera, better battery life and an OLED display. I stuck with apple as I prefer IOS over Android due to the continued updates and the more premium feel. The camera may not have the top specs but I prefer the look of the photos from the XS over its Android contenders as it produces a warmer picture and never fails to disappoint. I bought the Apple iPhone Xs 256gb to update from an iPhone 7.I love the increased screen size with overall phone size being virtually the same.Face recognition is so much better than fingerprint, which often failed eg. when damp after washing hands. Lift to wake and, slide up intuitively replaces old button.The new twin-camera lens and ‘portrait’ depth of field adjustment is brilliant and also 2x zoom feature.The phone case is stainless steel instead of aluminium and the phone has a great look and feel of quality. Battery performane seems good, better than old iPhone 7 128gb. I now have 256gb - so no worries for space - all my photos at resolution, videos, music, documents etc.

Ignore the other product review. The camera alone was the reason we upgraded. And boy was it worth it! We are due with #2 in Feb and I wanted to have an easy accessible camera to take great quality pictures rather than lugging around our DSLR.We are so satisfied with the quality.The functionality is very similar to my last phone (6s) only the home button has been removed. It has taken a little while to get used to, but hasn’t been an issue.The face recognition feature is extremely quick opposed to having to use the fingerprint recognition. Much quicker to authorise commands.The battery life so far has been amazing leaving me with around 60% by the end of the day compared to 15-20%.

I upgraded from an iPhone 6s and I have found the Xs a great improvement. Many days I have ended up the day with 70-80% charge when previously on the 6s I was down to 40%. The face detection is another boon - much more reliable than fingerprint, especially if your hands are wet, and it also makes Apple Pay much quicker and more reliable to use.I had thought that the lack of a home button would take getting used to but I was quite at 'home' without it after an hour or so. (I have to admit I'm 72 years old). All in all I'm very pleased. Wireless charging is convenient too.Oh, and the photo quality from the camera is noticeably improved from the 6s, and this is mainly why I upgraded.

I like the oled screen and the fact that it is slimmer and more compact than the xr and pro 11 models. This comes at a price thou. If Sony continue to support this model for the next 5 years then it is a price worth paying. I upgraded from an iPhone 6 which I loved and I would have kept it except for the fact that 16gb is not enough memory and because Sony are soon to stop supporting it. 64gb on the new phone. A fantastic camera. And an excellent screen are very good reasons to buy this phone.

Apple iPhone XS 512gb for the price of 256gb. Excellent price in compared to Apple store and had them in stock unlike some who didn’t, shame on them.Great quality of phone & massive step up from my previous Apple iPhone 5s. Excellent camera including the selfie camera, oLED screen, fast traffics, and buckets of space inc my iCloud. What more do you want.Highly recommend this product and got great service from Holloway road Argos.Was reserved @ my local Argos and picked up from Holloway simple.

I missed the feature of touch ID since my last phone was an iPhone 7, however you get used to just using the face ID and/or passcode. I will say that sometimes the face ID plays up, and I have experienced a little lag here and there on the phone but that’s probably because it’s new and apple will tweak it with updates. The glass back is lovely however a case is necessary so it doesn’t smash. The large screen is amazing and the phone is fast. The battery life isn’t anything special though.

I'm very happy with this phone. Not only is it significantly quicker than the previous generation (I was upgrading from an iPhone 7), but the screen is stunning. I had thought it would be odd not having a home button but after a day or so the gestures to get to the home screen etc. are second nature, and it now feels odd going back to using an old iPhone (I have an older generation one through work). The camera is also excellent. I can't think of anything to fault, very happy indeed.

For this phone, you have to look past the price point. Starting with the price it is the same price anywhere, but with Argos you get to choose the hour slot it arrives. The phone is blazing fast with a very ergonomic feel in the hand. Even though it has a large screen, the footprint of the phone is small about to work with one hand. The build quality is second to none. The only niggle I have with it is that they do not supply the lightening to 3.5mm adapter in the box anymore

It’s sleek, well built, fast, bright, efficient, and easy to use. Great camera and the audio also sounds great! Face ID is brilliant and very clever, and as with all iPhones FaceTime is very useful. Easy to turn WiFi, Bluetooth, and data functions on and off and connects to required peripherals very easily. Does everything I need for business and pleasure, and having 2 sims is fantastic. I will be happy with this baby for a good few years without doubt. I highly recommend the XS.

I wanted to buy a new camera but also enjoy my smartphone, so usually have both. This time I decided to buy the iPhone XS but not the camera - I just don't need it. The iPhone XS twin-camera lens set-up creates superb photos. It has 2x optical zoom and a terrific Portrait Mode which blurs the background very cleanly, making the subject stand out. The results are as good, in good light, as any dedicated camera I've owned. Why carry both when just the phone will do both jobs well?

The best iPhone I've owned.Face ID is fast to operate, has never failed to recognise me.The size is about right, slightly larger than my previous iPhone 7, the bigger OLED Screen is excellent, photos look fantastic. Gesture controls instead of a Home button don't take long to get used toThe camera is excellent, now with Portrait mode which gives focus to the subject and blurs the background. Battery performance also much improved, easily lasting a day with room to spare.

I have been using Nexus 6p with stock android for the last three years. The magic in the software from Google was amazing however the only gripe I had was the hardware build quality and integrated product extensions smart watch & headphones.It’s been 2weeks I have been using iPhone XS and I am blown away by the performance. It is a pleasure to hold the phone and the call quality is amazing and the battery life is probably the best. It is worthy investment and I recommend.

I got this phone as I was disappointed with my previous android phone. I wasn’t disappointed. Although not the latest model, it has all the features that I wanted plus more. The face recognition feature is so much more reliable than the touch recognition I had previously. The battery does last a long time considering how much I use it. It also connected automatically to my iPad Pro to show my existing contacts etc, something I wasn’t expecting.
