The game is an over the shoulder brawler following extremely over the top and wild characters.The game play is comparable to God Hand in terms of perspective and basic controls, rather then focusing on special combos it gives each character and interesting set and then lets items and other intractable object add variety.The core game has you running over a slightly dull open world filled with many missions, many of these are insanely challenging even from the beginning.The graphics leave a lot to be desired and some may be put of by the roughed up look many characters have.The game features a selection of multiplayer modes that are great fun, up to 16 players,

If you have a mere passing interest in beat-em-ups, and are in two minds about getting this... Just do it! Platinum's efforts haven't always sold very well, but they have a habit of creating fun, playable and completely bonkers games.Single player is worth going through to improve your skills (and to unlock extra characters), but online multiplayer is where it really comes together. I especially like the 12-16 player battle royale mode. Definitely something cool about jumping off a tall building into a brawl and being interrupted by someone throwing a parked car at your head! This is the best £20 I've spent in ages, and you can get it for less than that now.

Platinum Games does it again, a pure exhilarating arcade-like game that makes fun its number one priority.While the multi-player is certainly the core, The campaign mode is surprisingly fun and certainly worth playing, rich of cool cut-scenes that unfold the story.Once you have the basics down, the multi-player is just something you won't find anywhere else - not a simple button masher, but more akin to a fighting game in term of flow, learn when to block, when to evade and then when to attack, while always taking your surroundings in consideration.Brutal and ruthless, but unadulterated fun that comes from a lost era.

I really liked this game. It was fun, had a catchy soundtrack, simple but interesting story, and a cool multiplayer mode.The game is essentially made for multiplayer, but the game does offer a single player campaign and tutorials to make you get used to the controls of the game and get you ready for competitive online play.And if the campaign isn't enough, there are bots to help you train.The fact that we only can buy the limited edition is amazing, the Bayonetta character and the extra game modes is an awesome touch.All-in-all, it's definitely worth the low price. Especially for the MP, which is amazingly fun.

i must admit, i watched super best friends brawl and matts review of this game and ordered it straight after, this game is great but it reminds me of unreal tournament 3............where the campaign mode unlocks the characters for multiplayer/online mode and the campaign mode (main missions and free missions)are just prepping you for what you need against other players, but all in all i still found the campaign mose fun to play too, also thank you amazon for only having the limited edition for sale since it came with bayonetta and 2 extra multiplayer modes for free

Anarchy Reigns is probably one of my more favourite games to play,it extends beyond a simple button masher, you have to think beyond thatthe only downside I could think of is no offline multiplayer.... but then maybe that's just mestill I rate this game highly and I would happily recommend it

Great fun brawler but a tad confusing at times and a bit mental, though I guess that's why it's called ANARCHY reigns. Reasonable price makes it a worthy purchase.

A good game, nothing too taxing on the brain but if you like your hack n slash games you'll enjoy this. Another gem from platinum games
