I've built 3 Systems with this CPU & I knew the original Heat sink would not keep it cool enough & bought the new Cooler Master V8 GTX.Now that the Wraith Cooler comes with this CPU, That's an awesome step up upgrade not to have to buy another V8 GTX.I've watched some reviews & I could overclock to maybe 4.7Ghz, but I won't. I really don't believe in overclocking anything.You need to concentrate on the entire configuration. Example, I once read "there is no way you can get a system rating above 5.9 without using an SSD HD ". Guess what ? That so called Guru's statement was wrong!. My current system base rating is 6.2.How ? I built it using 2- 1TB Raptor HDD's in Raid 0 Array,

Replaced an old Phenom II x4 965BE with this. The Phenom had liquid cooling but I wonder if the liquid goes bad or away as it sure had become noisy. The Wraith cooler was a breeze installing it and oh so quiet, very quiet! I installed the CPU on a new Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 R5. Again was very easy. The performance is astounding. I know many feel the FX series is outdated and Intel beats AMD by a mile and blah-blah-blah, but as much as I'd like a new ZEN CPU, I have a feeling they'll be expensive. Why the 8350 instead of 8370? The 8350 seems to do better in many tests. Anyway, I am very happy with this FX-8350 and how my games and apps are running.Two week update: This CPU is truly amazing.

This processor was an upgrade from my 8320 and the difference was noticeable right of the bat. The CPU performs flawlessly as advertised and gives the user an astonishing level of overclocking room. This CPU will seamlessly provide plenty of power to run any of the modern games out and allows a great ability for multitasking while under load. The addition of the AMD's Wraith cooler was a bigger bonus. I've been reluctant in the past to use stock coolers but this system is more than capable of providing sufficient cooling dynamic while CPU is under heavy load. The fan is barely a whiper when playing DOOM (2016) at Ultra setting and temperatures maintaining 63 degrees after a lengthy session.

I replaced an AMD FX 6-Core 1100 CPU that died and I have been really impressed with this AMD FX 8-Core Black Edition FX-8350 Processor so far. I do quite a bit of video converting and this CPU does that a lot quicker than the old CPU so it saves me a lot of time. Time is relevant as far as I am concerned because I am retired but it was aggravating to wait on the converting to finish more than a real issue. I now have several pieces of software that take full advantage of the multi-core CPU'S and this CPU really shines with them. It will support a lot of different software open all at the same time and still do video converting quickly. I am not a true comp.

So let me start off by saying when this came in 2 days ago it had a bent pin which is a huge con really scary as gold isnt the most structurally sound metal there is but after a quick adjustment and a good amount of hope it was in the pc. I put this in my gaming rig (yes I know 2019 using a 2015ish processor god help me) and its not bad as far as gaming goes. its paired with an rx460 4g and it plays most games (siege rocket league pubg splitgate apex and sims4) in 60 fps or above stays rather cool on water cant steam with it tho which isnt the worst thing ever and has sped my start up and general multi tasking up quite a bit for 75 dollars can complain in the slightest if your on an am3+ socket

Sure, I know there are faster processors out there, but not only does this one completely out performs my last, it doesn't seem to run as hot (since the fan cuts on very periodically). This is true, even when the fan is on as well! You can barely hear the fan at all, even at intense-processing times. Trust me, there is a lot process too! I couldn't be more happy for this purchase.

I was skeptical using a air cooler after using liquid cooling the past 10 years, but this processor and wraith cooler was a GREAT combo. The wraith cooler is a bit noisy, but it really is not anywhere near an annoyance. This processor paired with my GTX 560TI and 16gb ram has been plenty to play MOST games on high/extreme. Im running BF1 at 60-80FPS on max settings at 1920x1200.

Extremely powerful, it runs cool and quiet, wraith cooler has an impressive performance. I installed it on my 4 years old motherboard, if I would have picked up intel 4 years ago, now I would be paying twice for the same performance not to mention a new motherboard and memories. AMD solid investment and performance.

First off this is a great processor especially if you are building a budget computer then i would highly recommend this. The product arrived at my door within 6 days so i was happy about the shipping time. If something were to happen to my current processor i would definitely think about getting this one again. 5/5

What I disliked was installing the fan but that was more from a lack of know how than the fan being good or bad. Had never seen one like that before. CPU ran and since it is only for general use and not gaming it did a great job. Value wise I can't say. Same for gaming. Well packed and got here quickly.

Purchased in 2019 to replace a phenom black / 965. I wouldn't recommend to anyone building a new system, but if you are looking to update an existing, older board like myself, it does the trick. The cooler is great for a stock cooler, I use this PC for hours on end and have never had cooling issues.

The processor is fast and wraith cooler keeps the noise to minimum possible. Before i had same CPU with different cooling fan and it mad a noise like a jet engine. I would recommend it the best CPU so far i have used. The cooler has white LED light on the fan that says AMD, which looks really cool.

I upgraded from a 4 core to this 8 core AMD processor and I couldn't be happier. The big difference in speed is like night and day. No problems what so ever. It is power hungry but if you have a high wattage power supply ( I have a 650 watt PS) and a good cooler it will work as advertised.

Great CPU + a really great stock CPU Cooler! The AMD 8350 CPU is high praise but the addition of an upgraded cooler (Wraith Cooler) from the old one is amazing. This cooler is on par with the Hyper 212 Evo that most people bought along with their 8350 to begin with.

Was pleasantly surprised to see my chip came with a Wraith MAX LED cooler and not the original Wraith cooler. Great chip for the price if you want to upgrade, but dont want to replace your whole system because of AM4.Will be my last AM3+, holding out for ryzen 3.
