I've had several similar lights in the past but their main failing is that for my ageing eyes they never were bright enough read by in the dark. This one easily achieves that goal and also if pointed up to the ceiling gives plenty enough general illumination to carry out the essentials of living. If you are prone to power cuts, or on your travels this is the ideak companion. It's also a relief to get rid of the useless element of a sunlight charger, and it appears to recharge from a 5 volt supply fairly promptly.
