Overall, this is a GREAT product. This product is a simple 5" x 2.5" x .5" flat-slim form factor with rounded corners, made with a plastic materials. It feels good to hold with no hard corners or edges. This can easily be stowed in as something as small as your jean pockets, which is another benefit to it's form. As some other products seem to be going away from this design in favor of thicker/shorter (stubby) designs, making them harder to carry the device in your pocket. This simple design proves to be of an advantage than any other because of this. The device is incredibly light at 4.6 ounces. The combination of size/shape and weight translates as something very portable. When I first received the product, it was 3/4 charged. It took approximately an hour and a half to top it off. I also let the product sit for a couple of weeks on the shelf with no activity and plugged it in to see if there was any drain as some inferior products will have. Fortunately, it was still topped off. This may not seem like a big deal, but quality power banks should hold their full charge for at least a month. Unfortunately, I did not have enough time as of this writing to really test this, but after a couple of weeks, most inferior products will show some sign of battery drain. Fortunately for this product I did not see any. I still recommend checking the charge level prior to any outing to ensure you have enough power for your intended device. As for portable power, which is it's primary purpose... 5000 mAh is good enough to charge a single modern smartphone at least once. This product does it well. I have not had any issues or concerns with the charging and recharging itself, but the lack of power/mAh this device can store is only on-par. For reference, a power bank should at least have the ability to charge your intended device once, which most modern smartphones require ~3300 mAh. This device can do that easily. That is my personal baseline. This is my primary reason for my GOOD/4-Star rating. Summary:If you're looking for an "everyday", incredibly light and highly portable power bank, you simply can't go wrong with this product. It has enough portable power to fully charge any smartphone up at least once (with power to spare), lightweight, and comfortable enough to fit in your pocket... you really can't beat this product. If you need to carry a portable power bank with you all the time, I would consider this a good choice. As with any review, they can be subjective and can be based on many factors, so your intended use should be considered. In this case, I would prefer a higher mAh capacity (preferably 7000 - 10000 mAh) in order to have at least two full charges on my smart device, as I am always with my family that may need a device charged. If you don't have this consideration, you can argue this would be a full 5-Star review. No price comparison or device comparison was considered as well. This review was based on it's own merits. Please keep this in mind when considering this review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The Belkin PocketPower is a stylish black slab that is slightly smaller in length and width than an iPhone 6/7 and a tad deeper. The only markings on it are the belkin name and their dotted figure logo in grey. It's a little heavier than the phone but entirely portable with its smoothly rounded corners. There are two USB ports, a micro port for charging the battery pack and a type A USB for connecting to the device to be charged. A 7" cable is supplied for charging the PocketPower.Straight out of the box I connected it to my iPhone 7, which had around 35% charge at the time and it charged it to 100% in a little over an hour. I then connected the charging port to my desktop PCs USB3 socket and left it to fully charge. There are four green LEDs on the edge that show charging progress. Unfortunately I was working at the time and didn't notice exactly how long it took, but 4 hours later it had all 4 LEDs lit.Once the battery pack was fully charged I used it to charge up my work BlackBerry from about 1/5th power to full charge, followed by my iPhone again (the following day) and my iPad Pro from 80% to 100%. There were 2 LEDs still lit after all this so I decided to try and charge my AKG Y50BT headphones. The red light came on on the headphones to indicate charging but when I checked 10 minutes later the lights had gone off on both the headphones and the PocketPower. Trying again lead to the same result, but the PowerBank still had some juice left so I assume this was the voltage fluctuation circuitry kicking in. Final test was a Kindle PaperWhite, which charged up with no issues. At no time during all this charging did the Belkin become hot. There are a number of claims made about safety features, of which the heat control is one. The shutoff in the event of voltage issues, which I think is what happened with the bluetooth headphones, is another. Normally you have to take the manufacturers word for such features but it looks like they are true. Possibly this is what contributes to the price, as a comparison of competing products shows many cheaper alternatives from smaller companies.I was quite impressed by the device though the price may deter some, but the safety features may be enough to persuade you.

There are many “powerbanks” on the market from various reputable manufacturers – I’m thinking of Anker, EasyAcc, Amazon Basics and , of course, PortaPow who specialise in charging solutions – and Belkin are certainly among the better solution providers. The price of these units has come down dramatically over the last couple of years and they are a very popular item to use in an emergency or when it’s inconvenient to plug into the mains. However, this one is, in my opinion, a bit pricier than many others. The equivalent Anker one is just £12.99 and there are others that are even cheaper. The Belkin charger is roughly the same size as an iPhone 4 – just a shade longer – and comes with a short charging lead. The lead is about 22 CM long and has the traditional USB Type Micro-B to fit into the Belkin unit. I think the cable’s a bit short but it’s not a problem. There are longer ones on the market at a low cost if you want one. The unit itself feels robust. It has a nice matt finish with the Belkin logo and like other powerbanks there’s a series of four lights to show you (a) that it’s on and (b) how much power it has left. The one I was sent to test had two of the four lights on when I switched it on (half charged) so I plugged it in with a USB Charger Power Monitor attached. This shows the charging rate and the unit was receiving 1.9 amps which is pretty good. To get the other two lights to switch on and indicate that the unit was fully charged took just a couple of hours. It’s a neat little unit, small enough to carry in your bag or pocket and can even recharge your phone while you’re travelling. I have seen smaller, neater units (the Anker Astro E1 5200 mAh unit) but the Belkin is as powerful as any other and does the job right. My iPhone 6 was half charged and the Belkin charged it up again with the loss of only one of the four lights, so I’m guessing it could have done it four times. The manufacturer’s description that it will charge your Smartphone 1.5 times is, I think, referring to a phone that’s absolutely dead while most people charge theirs when the phone gets down to 50% or 60%. In that case this little unit will help you out several times.I’ve only given it four stars because of the price.

As with so many devices today there are minimal instructions included here: one side of an approx A5 card with a couple of drawings, along with the usual multi-language information sheet which basically contains warnings and can really only be read with magnifying glass. So basically you’re on your own when it comes to using this. Out of the box It appears to have little or no charge, and there is no indication as to how long it will take to fully charge. In practice it appeared to fully charge in a few hours. I used it to recharge and iPad pro 12.9, and within an hour or so it had fully discharged having recharged the iPad by 20%, a second attempt after having left the device on charge overnight provided a 25% recharge for the iPad.For a phone the claims are that it will provide about one and half charges. For a phone this is should prove very useful, for the iPad it really is just a convenient back-up, but then from the main description it appears to be aimed primarily at phone users (the Belkin web page for this charger does provide a full list of compatible devices, included here)As for the colour, it is rather pink!Copmpartible devies (from Belkin webpage):iPhone 7iPhone 7 PlusiPhone 6siPhone 6s PlusiPhone SEiPhone 6iPhone 6 PlusiPhone 5ciPhone 5/5siPhone 4/4SGalaxy S8Galaxy S8+Galaxy S7Galaxy S7 edgeGalaxy S6Galaxy S6 edgeGalaxy S5Galaxy S4Galaxy S4 MiniGalaxy S4 ActiveGalaxy S3Google PixelGoogle Pixel XLApple Watch Series 1Apple Watch EditionApple Watch SportApple Watch Nike+Apple Watch Series 2Galaxy Note 3Galaxy Note IIGalaxy Mega 6.3Galaxy Mega 5.8Galaxy Note Pro 12.2Galaxy Note 10.1 2014Galaxy Tab 4 - 10.1"Galaxy Tab 4 - 8.0"Galaxy Tab 4 - 7.0"Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2"Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1"Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4"iPad mini 4iPad mini 3iPad mini 2iPod mini 1st geniPad 4th geniPad Air 2iPad Pro (12.9")iPad 2iPad (Original)iPad AiriPad Pro (9.7”)iPad Pro (10.5")

Just received this good looking 5000mah battery. As is the case in a post-iDevice world, packaging is impressive. Nice and neat, easy to open and showcases the product well. All parts held securely inside, including the battery and the short (8”) micro USB cable. Battery itself is encased in a smooth silver plastic case. Nicely rounded edges means it goes comfortably in a pocket. Charge indicator LEDs and button are located at the end of a long side, next to the short side that houses both a standard USB (power out) and micro-USB (for charging). Openings are cleanly finished, and the supplied cable feels secure in each socket. This brings me to my only complaint so far - and it applies to many, many such devices - that I have to keep two cables with it. I’m charging an iDevice with a Lightning connector, not one with a micro-USB such as an Android or B.B. It would be great if an adapter was included for micro-USB to Lightning. I’d pay a couple of extra dollars for this. The battery came with a 2/4 charge (2 of four light green LEDs light when the button is pressed). Immediately went to work charging my iPhone 6. Will be charging to full tonight and will update further. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Belkin make high quality electronic products & I have yet to find a fault with their quality. Plus they offer warranties for their products which give peace of mind.I have used quite a few of these power banks for charging on the go & I quite liked this one.-it charges very fast (using a Belkin cable I had previously). Although I think any good quality cable would also help with this. The other ones I have also charge quite fast but this one is much better & much more responsive. Plus the other cheaper brand I've bought which are 5000mAh are not truly 5000mAh. The charge doesn't last that long time whereas with this one, I get much more power/battery time. You get what you pay for & these are worth the extra money.- it's not very heavy for the size (it's about the size of an iPhone 4). Thus portable & easy to carry.-it has a lovely feel matt black finish (it comes in other colours but I got the black one!)- it feels sturdy & good quality materials are used.-charging time is excellent. For a 5000amp which is roughly 2 full charges, it takes about 2 hours. This is much faster than other 5000amp ones I've had. Normally they take 3-4 hours at least.

Before going into details about this Belkin, if you've never used a powerpack before, I highly recommend them. With iphone battery life still very poor (often 80% before I reach the office, without significant use), my first Anker powerpack was a revelation. Intended for days when I'm out of the office with no access to a plug socket (conferences being a great example) it then became clear how useful it was on trips out with the family, when someone else would undoubtedly need to recharge. Slipping a powerpack into the pocket became a great way to get some brownie points from the kids when their tablets or phones ran out of power.Turning now to the Belkin, this meets all these needs well. It's well made, looks fine and comes with a USB cable to charge it. You'll need to bring your own cable to charge the device, but that's par for the course for powerpacks. It's neither the biggest nor the smallest powerpack I've seen, but on balance edges towards the larger side, and the "ultra portable" label is a bit misleading. The amount of power is easily enough for me personally, and it coped with top-ups for the family too.

From a fully charged state, Belkin suggest this battery pack is capable of charging an iPhone 7 up to 1.5 times; at least, I think that is what the packaging said as everything is in such small type that it is impossible to read without a magnifying glass – and even then I struggled. The battery pack is good to touch, made from a smooth plastic but, around the size and weight of a mobile phone, it is no small, lightweight option to take around as a back-up charge. It is neatly formed however with a charging indicator on the side and input and outputs at one end.I like the look and feel of the device and, size and weight to one side, the Belkin brand is reassuring in terms of reliability and safety.I have once been caught out on a trip having forgotten to charge my phone and so a back-up battery is a necessity, particularly when trekking around the countryside given the lack of public telephone boxes these days. It does slip easily into a pocket and, although weightier than I would like, it offers a reassuring presence.

Belkin battery pocket power is by far one of the best chargers i’ve used. Slim lightweight and can easily fit into your pocket. Battery check is one of the best indicator to let you know how much juice left. I’ve been using it for several days and i do have faith in Belkin products as almost all my house is wemo products from ages and they are very reliable. Its very light weight for a battery pack with 5,000 mAh storage capacity. My iphone 7plus charges extremely fast, the only downside is i had to buy a SHORT lightning cable as it only comes with 6in USB to micro USB. You still can use Apple cable but it will be kinda long. Love the silver color, its my favorite color. Rated 2.4A output. Its simply easy to use when you are outta juice.Pros: extremely Light weight - right shape and sizeCompact for carrying around - enough capacity to power high end phones.Rounded edges makes it look sleek and fashionable Cons: No short lighning cable [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Ever gone out for the day and your phone's run out of juice before you can recharge it? Incommunicado in the airport lounge because all the recharge points are taken? Being out of touch can be inconvenient and even unsafe. No longer This handy, sleek rechargeable battery pack lets you recharge or top up your phone without being near a mains recharging point. You charge it from the mains using your usual charger, then take it with you - it's about the same size and weight as the average smartphone, which is a bit bigger than ideal, but perfectly usable. You just plug your phone into it using the short length of cable supplied (works for Androids - you'll need an adapter if using it on an Apple phone or tablet). It's not super-speedy like fast mains charge, but it's better than plugging it into a laptop, and it will keep your phone operational. There are lights on the side to tell you how much charge is left in the unit.

For the past 3 days My Pocket Power 5K has been attached to my iPhone 6 Plus. My iPhone was 95% charged when I attached the fully charged Pocket Power to it. I turned on Bluetooth and streamed music constantly to my Sonos System for 24 hours. Looking at my reserve power, my iPhone was 100% and all 4 power indicators were on. I turned my iPhone flashlight on and continued to stream music as well as email, FaceTime, Facebook, messages etc. At 48, my iPhone was 100% and I had 3 power indications on. I turned off the flashlight and continued streaming music. After 60 hours, my iPhone was 100% and I had 2 power indicators on. At 72 hours I still had 2 power indicators on.At 77 hours my iPhone was 100% and the Pocket Power was down to 1 power indicator. I was without words. Maybe it could be nicknamed Perpetual Pocket Power [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have successfully used Belkin products for many years so had high hopes for this unit – I was not disappointed. The unit was easily charged and successfully charged both smart phones and iPads albeit to differing levels and in different times. In use, the unit is neat ( same size as some mobile phones) and relatively light and can easily be carried in backpacks or even purses to provide additional battery power when out travelling and away from normal charge points. The unit comes with a USB charge lead but you will need to source your own USB charge plug. The charge level can easily be seen by pushing the button on the side. Although this worked well on a mobile phone it seemed to lack the oomph to quickly charge some iPads. How to rate the unit? For mobile phones 5 star ; for iPads 3-4 star .

Many people may complain that this is expensive, but with Belkin you get what you pay for. A reliable product, that is well designed, and won't burn a hole in your pocket. Yes, you could probably buy a cheaper product, but you also have to ask yourself, how much can you trust a product that costs you very little money? Belkin is a reliable, trusted brand, and this product is no exception. This Power Bank looks fantastic, it takes only 2-3 hours to charge up using the USB lead provided, and it charges an iPhone to full battery when out and about in a couple of hours. Size wise, it is about the same size as an iPhone 5, and has a plastic shell. It is lightweight, and very easy to throw in the glovebox of the car,or a backpack.I would highly recommend this to anyone.

This is a compact power bank that we've already charged and put away in my wife's handbag. She finds she needs mobile charging for her phone and this will do the trick. It has already replenished her mobile whilst at work this morning so she's happy. She should get several charges (which are pretty swift) from one full power bank. The colour is something neither of us are too struck on but this is a functional item and it isn't so hideous that it would put us off buying one. I would say it is a touch expensive compared to some you can buy but then Belkin will say theirs will last. Time will tell and it does feel like a well made piece of kit.All in all then this is a very useful item and complements the power banks I have purchased previously. Very good indeed.

I think this power bank strikes the right balance between size and power. It's smaller than my iPhone 7 making it portable enough to slip in your back pocket, probably slip into a small purse, or toss in a pocket of your backpack. It's lighter than another power bank I used to have. Aesthetically, it's got a nice matte black look with an almost rubberized texture. The one thing I would have liked from this is a built-in charging cord so I don't have to carry both the battery and the cords around. Performance wise, it charged my phone from completely dead to 100% in approximately 2 hours. I was disappointed that when I received the power bank it was only half charged. All in all, it' a good buy.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
