Before I start reviewing the product, I want to have a moan about the packaging - it's awful. Really thick strong heat sealed blister pack that snaps into shards and could cut your skin. Even with scissors it took me a good five minutes of tentatively cutting this thing open before I got in - luckily without injury! So - this is a stick on clipboard by any other name. It's smaller than I expected, it's more A5 sized than A4, although it will hold A4 paper no problem. The main section is actually clear transparent (it looks white in the product photos - it's not).It comes with two sticky pads, so you can relocate it once, then you're out of pads. So,choose wisely. The thing to note is that if you want to stick it on the side of your monitor then your monitor better have flat sides, with at least a centimetre of flat width to stick this thing to - many have profiled sides, curves, and so on, and this won't work with those. Check first! You're also meant to clean the surface with alcohol - I would have thought it a good idea if there was an included alcohol wipe at the price I guess. There isn't. That would also have meant people will actually clean the surface instead of the more likely "oh...well I don't have an alcohol wipe so I'll just kind of...blow on it a bit", or use a wipe that leaves a residue, which is a recipe for failure. One side of the sticky pad bit says "attach to wall" (I guess they mean monitor) so make sure you get it the right way round, I have the feeling that is the removable side and the other one isn't. There's also some weird removal process involving pulling a "cap" section from the mount, I can't even begin to explain it, but the manual shows you pictures of it, it's a bit odd. There's a pull tab to remove it I guess. But that's not something you're going to be doing very often, presumably!Overall - well, it does what it says and if your monitor (or chosen location) is flat and clean then it will work fine. However, as other reviewers have also noted, it does not come cheap, especially if you take note of the RRP at time of reviewing!

I just reviewed a 3M product that was 'plastic' and didn't like it, which is why I have to say I am so pleased with this. This is well made and if you follow the instructions you are unlikely to have any problem with it.Cleaning an area on the side of your flat screen monitor and then applying the support for this copy holder with one of the two sticky fixing pads provided is a simple process. Then one leaves it in place for an hour before slipping the weight bearing part of this contraption into place. It might be worth noting that you can attach this to either side of the monitor, so it suits the right and left handed users as well as those that don't have room at one side of the monitor.Thecopy holder can be angled back and forth and has a deep curved base which will hold your individual paper or several documents without problem. The back of the copy holder has a slide up support which will take the document gripper above A4 height to cope with almost anything.I find this very helpful supporting any document that I need to type, or to refer to when writing a reply. This is a useful accessory that shouldn't be dismissed out of hand, as the truth is most of us don't have the desk space to adequately site such documents. The angle of design is very well thought out meaning that it is genuinely hard to find a document that won't fit and you can use the grip to keep it open at the right page or simply hold it in place. My monitor is gloss black and this is dark grey and it looks like it was made for it! Well done 3M - you have winner here!

I recently purchased a flat panel monitor hanger for my office cubicle and when I saw this copy holder that mounts directly to the side of my flat panel display, I purchased it with no hesitation. Obviously I checked the reviews first and they were all exemplary. I bought this a few weeks back and I use it to hold documentation related to the latest project I am working on or my daily to-do list.To be honest, I didn't even know that these things existed. What is especially great is that it is up and off of my desktop, at eye level, and doesn't add any more clutter to my desk. If you need it to hold many pages,it will do that as well and the mounting took about a minute and it holds rock-solid!I couldn't be happier with this Amazon purchase and may even buy one for the other side of my flat panel display. One great feature is that it swivels in case you want to hide it behind the flat panel display but I can't see myself ever doing that. Another benefit of the swivel is if the side of your flat panel monitor isn't at least 3/4" thick, you can just attach it to the back of your monitor and just swivel it! My flat panel display in my home office is only 1/2" thick so I couldn't really attach it to the side of the monitor but could easily just attach it to the back and it would work just as well. That's why I am contemplating buying one for my home office as well.Great purchase, received it quickly with no shipping charges, and may just buy another one!

READ THIS IF YOU INTEND TO BUY THIS PRODUCT!Some of the reviewers found that the copy holder came away from their monitors. I can't guarantee it, but I suspect I've discovered why. There is a printed sheet of instructions (nothing more than a series of grainy photographs and images). However, on this sheet, it says that you have to do things in a certain order AND to wait a certain length of time. I worked through the steps as they suggested and my copy holder works fine. The steps are:1. Apply the correct side of the two-sided adhesive strip TO the plastic holder. On my product, this was the RED coloured side of the double-sided adhesive strip.2. Give the side of your monitor a clean, preferably with rubbing alcohol. Perhaps a few people who found that their copy holders fell off may have had greasy finger marks (or other minor obstructions) on the side of their monitors?3. Then apply the other side of the double-sided adhesive strip to the monitor.4. NOW WAIT. The instruction sheet says to wait ONE HOUR for the adhesive to bond properly. If you're in a rush, I imagine that not waiting the hour may weaken the adhesive.5. AFTER the hour, you can then attach your copy holder to your monitor. It worked for me and my copy holder is holding nicely. Before receiving the copy holder, I thought that it might be slightly useful. But now that I have it, I've discovered that it effectively gives me more space in my work area. I really like it!

I am delighted with my Copy Holder. The only criticism is the heavy duty shrink wrap packaging very difficult to get into and moulded around the product. It does provide protection in transit so I suppose considered necessary. The copy holder can be mounted either to the left or right of the monitor and the single mounting lug does come with two sticky patches if you change your mind.Fix the plastic lug first after making sure the contact surface is very clean and then wait an hour before sliding the copy holder on to the lug.I have found that it is instantly comfortable for reading texts both at the landscape and portrait setting. The body of the holder is slightly curved and so that the papertilts back and is kept in place with a ridge at the base and an adjustable clip at the top.The Copy Holder is pivoted so that it can be moved out of the way when not in use and turned for the optimal angle when needed. It can also be removed completely by sliding upwards. It will work with one sheet of paper or a booklet making it easy to manage. At last! I don’t have to struggle with my neck as the Copy Holder minimises the angle at which I turn my head, making writing from references much easier and more of a pleasure!

Like many people, I spend much of my time at work on my computer and often need to have documents or print outs at hand to refer to when typing. This is a handy device, which sticks to the side of your monitor (there is a spare sticky pad in case you want to remove this and use it on another computer). I have to say that I was a bit concerned that it would not attach properly, but it seems to be stable; despite my putting a fairly large A4 pad on it in order to test whether it would slip.Although this seems quite basic and lightweight, it is actually well designed. The rim of the holder tips upwards, so the paper does not move and there is a clip at the top to hold it steady. This is adjustable, depending on the size of the paper – even if you only have a few sheets (rather than a more chunky pad), the clip held well and did not slip down. Best of all, this can be folded back when not in use, so it does not take up a lot of room and can just be pulled out when needed. I cannot think why I never thought of getting one of these before – it is so much easier than having pieces of paper on your desk and leaning over them while typing. A very useful piece of equipment; simple, but very useful.

The 3M DH 445 - Copy holder is one of those products that your firm should provide for you in you work in an office but they simply don’t.I have used several similar items in the past on a variety of monitors and they have reduced the strain of glancing down far too frequently which tires and slows the work rate down. This holder allows you to have the sheet you require and the screen next to each other making transfer simpler. But at over 25 pounds it is expensive. This is a decent stab at a document holder although it is a little expensive. If you go to the bargain stores similar to the pound shops you can find several takes on this theme for far less. The trick to fixing the adhesive strips is to prepare the surface so no dust, dirt or grease is present.Stick the tabs in place but refrain from putting any documents in the holder for at least 24 hours to ensure a decent grip and fix. Then use.Replacement sticky pads are available quite cheaply at most general suppliers. That said it does its job in holding a document for you making your working a lot easier.

Ah, copy holders! I love them - they have saved my eyes and provided a handy resting place for my to-do lists and notes. This one is a little bit different in that it attaches to the computer and folds away for easy storage - you can't use it on its own, which is a negative point. The packaging was a pain too - it took two of us to dive into the plastic shrinkwrap with scissors! Maybe Amazon could make this one frustration free? It's easy to put together - slot the copy holder into the bracket, stick the bracket to the side of your monitor and you're away! I am planning to stick it to my wall... although the clipboard is teeny, it can still do A4 paper, which is a godsend - and it holds everything you need, such as notepads, notebooks. Not so much heavy books, though... I really do like this product and think it'll be handy with my writing work. Love it.

I have fitted the document holder to my LG IPS LED monitor. Was easy to assemble and fit. The double sided sticky pad that comes with it was easy to apply and stuck to the back of my monitor in seconds. I have been using the document holder all day and its been holding a A4 note pad with out any issues. When not in use it can be swung to the back of the monitor screen out of the way which is excellent. Its not a cheap and nasty holder and good quality. It comes with a spare sticky pad if you wish to remove it and put it on another monitor. Its quite expensive but I think it will last for a good while. Will be interesting to see how long the adhesive pads last but so far so good.I would recommendthis to anyone who works in an office and requires a holder to read documents etc etc

A productivity aid for anyone who needs to have documents 'to hand' whilst using a computer - see my video to see how I've attached mine and how useful it is for me to have my notes at eye-level as I look at my monitor. The attachment fits beautifully to my monitor (your mileage may vary) and is detachable so I can safely store it away when I'm not actively using it.It holds all sizes of paper, A4 being the obvious choice perhaps and there is a spring clip at the top of the extendable arm to ensure nothing starts curling forwards towards you, if the paper cannot stand up by itself. My video shows some Real World information far better than what I can write here so take a look,it's just 3 minutes long!I love it and it's already helped me in the few days I've had it.

As a PA who has to type and cross check work a lot, I have had a couple of these copy holders over the years. This one so far is easily the best one I’ve used.Lightweight, but sturdy, this can be attached to either side of your monitor with a command strip (2 supplied, you could replace further as needed). So, this is perfect for left and right handed people, and can be adjusted to suit any angle or height you need. Very lightweight but not loose as some hinges can be.Measures 9 inch by 10 inch, and brilliantly can be swung on its hinge to lie flat against the monitor out of the way when not needed.Packaging says you could hold up to 30 pages deep worth of paper, haven’t tried that much, but it seems to be strong enough.Really recommended!

This is basically a snazzy clip board that is very helpful at holding papers that you can then work from or refer to, when typing on your computer. It's pretty good quality; though you'd rather hope so at £40-ish.I'd seen reviews commenting on the sticky pads, so spent a lot of time carefully wiping down the sides of my Apple monitor which is large and so is able to support the holder. Like others I'm a bit apprehensive how much this gadget can hold. And since I often do tilt my screen I have found it all becomes rather unwieldy. So - keep your screen straight and don't pile on a ton of papers - and you should be a happy, tidier and efficient work space!!I have to say it's nice clearing some of the papers off my laughably small desk.

I was given this item to review. It attaches very easily to the side of a monitor via a 3m pad. The Base that sticks to the monitor isn't permanently attached to the document holder so this can be removed.Had it attached for 3 days so far and it's fine, no sign it won't last the distance and they provide a 2nd pad just in case. And it's easy to buy extras should this be required. My monitor has curved sides but this still attached ok and on a flat sided one I would think the bonded would be effectively perment. The back tab on the document holder extends upwards to allow large pages to be used in it and overall it's proved very useful so far and it's far easier to have the paperwork off thedesk.

I was very doubtful about this before I started using it but its really come in handy. My desk space is crammed with stuff already but this has come in very useful-especially if I have to refer to a letter when writing a reply or report. Despite my doubts the double sided tape supplied (x2) has kept it in place-I'm not sure how easy it would be to take off again but I 've no intention of trying. The swivel attachment moves a full180 degrees so you can shift it out of the way if you need to-except I find it doubles brilliantly as a holder for my invariably lengthy to do list--if it wasn't quite as expensive I'd order one for the other side of the screen too.

I like you can remove this by lifting it up and setting it behind monitors when not needed. I mostly leave it up as I am recording stats almost every day. The built in clip at the top is strong enough to hold one sheet or many. Most I have had was 8 scoresheets hanging as I did the stats for the night. The clip also raises and lowers to accommodate various sizes of documents. The up curved lip at the bottom allows the sheets to stay in place without curling up. I attached it to the left side of my monitor with the included adhesive tape. I just cleaned all pieces with alcohol to remove any grease or oils from my hands. So far so good, used almost everyday.
