The events of this game take place between seasons two and threeThe Plot: I wont give you any spoilers. The game plot focuses around the events of the end of season two and the start of season three. It ties up several loose threads left in between these stories. The 24 show producers and script writers were all responsible for the plot of the game, thus it carries with it the same grit, action and fast paced action of the hit tv series (buy now on amazon if you are still to view it!)The Gameplay: The game has you chasing down suspects in Jack's SUV, running after terrorists as Tony Almedia, and problem solving your way to National Security with other key characters of the show. The game play is enjoyable and smooth at times, and is by no means repetitive in the way it offers you driving, fighting, combat, stealth, and even computer terminal and terrorist interrogation sub games. The Graphics: The graphics on the whole are not to the playstations full potential. Cut scenes are impressive, however, they are chipped by the games overall 'bitty' type graphics and visuals which at times seem a little wooden in comparison to some of the recent deliveries made by PS2 (such as Tomb Raider Legend). That said, however, the visuals have little effect on you as a gamer when mixed up with a 24 cocktail of music straight from series composer Sean Callery, voices from all of the shows key actors, and that much loved edge of your seat digital clock ticking it's way to a series finale!Overall:Pros: The game is very impressive. For passionate fans of the show it will deliver more intense action as you shadow CTU and Mr Bauer for yet another one of those days. And I expect that as a stand alone game aside from the wider show it will offer some enjoyment, although not perhaps in comparison with some other titles of it's genre.Cons: The one thing that may let this game down lies in the fact that it seems do dated in terms of it's story! Fans of the show will know by now that Jack and CTU have come a long way since season three; that said the game does offer opportunity for gamers to head back into a classic 24 universe whereby we deal with issues like kidnapped Bauers, President Palmers near assasination and the arrival of Chase Edmunds. Just seems a shame that it hasn't been reflecting some of what we have seen in the current anf former season. One other let down is that of the real time factor at play; it doesn't seem to have worked as much as it could have. Perhaps the option of a genuine real time 'challenge mode' may have given the game more overall playability.

24 The Game is essentially (as the title says) a secret season of 24, taking place between season 2 and 3 of the hit show. What's really exciting for fans of 24, is that everything that happens story and character wise is entirely canon to the 24 universe. You'll see how President Palmer recovered after his assassination, how Chase and Chloe first met Jack, as well as how Kim's first day at CTU goes. If you don't know what any of that means, or don't care then 24 The Game probably isn't for you. If you do though then know all the main cast reprise their roles, including Jack, Tony, Kim, Michelle, and Chloe, as well as side characters like Ryan Chappelle even making cameos. The game play itself isn't very unique unfortunately, playing as a mishmash of driving, third person shooting, puzzles, stealth sections, chases, and finally interrogations. My favorite sections would be those that mix up the players expectations, such as a mission where you must take out snipers in a specific order and time to save the vice president, and a dynamic foot chase where you you must catch up to the a suspect before he gets away (or kills himself in an accident). The game also makes use of the shows famous camera angles and clock, and surprisingly often not in cut scenes but during actual gameplay. There are unlockable videos from the real cast and crew of 24, and so these incentive's replayability to improve your overall CTU agent rank, and to get 100% scoring on every mission by hitting certain criteria. The game isn't incredibly long, but it is longer than your average 4 hour campaign (more if you go for the aforementioned unlockables). Any mission can be replayed at any time, and the game allows for three different save files on the memory card. If you just want to watch the cut scenes for the story then that is possible too, by using cheats and then selecting play all. For the price, it is well worth it alone just for that alone, a brand new PS2 game for so little is well worth it. For fans of 24 this is a must, overlook the janky gameplay and odd animations because there is a lot of love and care that went into creating an authentic 24 game, that has reason and purpose to exist (not just some cash in).

I bought this game as an avid fan of the 24 TV show, which I watch religiously. I read about this a few months ago in the official PS2 magazine and it sounded pretty promising. Here's the thing - it's a good game. The promise of gripping minigames combined with a good FPS and car chases sounded just up my street anyway. The FPS side of the game is excellent, really, with a variety of ways to do things, and some interesting levels and scenery. It was a lot of fun.Unfortunately the car chases can only be described as "okay". The world just doesn't seem real. The wierd thing is, they appear to have created an entire city, but only about a tenth of it is used in the game, and there is no opportunity to explore at all. That was really disappointing. I remember a really annoying chase where you had to drive around for about 30 minutes trying to lose a police tail. It just wasn't fun. However, these car bits aren't very common and only happen a little bit in the game. The minigames are... dire. There is no challenge whatsoever, yes, there is a timer but you usualy have ages to spare, and all you do is press a few buttons and you're done. It's not interesting nor is it fun. All I found them useful for was to go and get a drink, come back, spend 30 seconds "defeating" the minigame (i.e. pressing X, O, and some other random buttons) and I was done. The only cool thing I remember was the **SPOILER** sniper one near the start of the same **SPOILER** where Jack had to eliminate a few terrorists. That was pretty cool.Overall, the great shooter aspect of the game is somewhat let down by the other more dismal bits. Don't let that put you off, it's a very good game and a great one to add to the collection.

This Game is absolutely amazing. For any 24 Fan this games is a must. It ties up seasons 2 & 3 brilliantly, it give the stories behind each character who is new in season 3 and tell you what happened between the old characters in season 2.There is many two different roles you play thought out the game - (actually 58 missions)1st role is Jack - which is third/ first person shoot um up which has the same look and controls as GTA series. This is the main role you play thought the game with plenty of Varity. You can shoot and punch enemies in some mission you can even knock them over by car/jeep etc.2nd roles - intelligence analyst - this comprises of using satellite equipment to find where enemies are than pass the location on to jack. Also using computers to hack into PDA and repairs damaged nodes together valuable information. So far i have played as Jack, Tony, Chase, Michelle in the field ops and played as new characters in the intelligence roles. All the major characters from the series are in this game with all original voice and look exactly the same as the characters in the series.I am about 50% the way thought the game and not found any bugs or problems what so ever with the game. The only thing this game lacks is two-player co-op mode, which could link in brilliantly with some of the missions.Rating out of 10Graphics - defiantly 10/10Game play - again 10/10Story - Without a doubt the 10/10Life span - 9/10Overall whether you are a 24 fan or not this is a game ever PS2 owner should have.

Being a HUGE 24 fan a was really excited to get my mits on this game when it came out, firstly because it was advertised to explain a few things that happened between season 2 and 3, like the how'd they meet?? and the oh thats what happen questions.the game from the start was grip-the-chair-with-seat-of-pants stuff. you think the tension in the TV program was intense, it gets even more intense when chasing down terrorists whilst being Jack Bauer (poor guy never gets a break!) the similarities between the game and show are very good, CTU outline is very good. Also the characters are very realistic using the technology of today and making them look just like the cast.the voiceovers are by thecast aswell which makes it even better hearing tony almeida and jack bauer guiding kim bauer round CTU really great.you play a variety of characters from the show, jack (obviously) tony almeida, michelle dessler and kim bauer, i don't know if you can play any more because i havnt finished the game yet.the sub-games are fun to play as well, interogation- my but the skill to get the stress level to the correct place and using the right buttons was quite tough. using code breakers, and scanning buildings to find snipers. the best bit of the game is the layout, you know the split camera thing that the show has, and the ''the following takes place between'' make it all the more enjoyable.if your a 24 fan then it is definatley worth buying, lots of enjoyment and tension that any fan will know about.

This game is brilliant! I was considering Fight Night Round 3 or this game and i have made the right choice - no doubt. I am 5 missions in and i haven't repeated the same type of mission yet. There are driving missions, circuit breaker missions, interrogation missions and straight up shooting missions. There are 58 missions in total and I can't see this game becoming boring. The game is very much like the TV show with split screens and the voice overs from the actors. The graphics in this game are not like you would expect. When I saw the back of the box, i didn't rate the graphics however, they are very good (around 8/10 - there is always room for immprovement). Another plus about this game,it is a pick up and play title as the controls are very easy to use with the analogs playing a central role, however, the game also has a lot of depth. You don't only play as Jack Bauer either, it various among the characters of the 3rd series e.g. Chase Edmunds. As with every game, there are faults, however, i can only spot one, and it is very minor. The aiming system maybe a bit easy if you prefer a more realistic shooter and they are slightly awkward but after a while, you get used to it. In my opinion, you wouldn't have to be a huge 24 fan to enjoy this game as the plot and storyline get the player immersed in the game. Very addicted and recommended to anyone!! Well done for getting the perfect balance in an action game.

first off this game kicks in with an all shooting level, playing as Jack (of course)this game brings many qualitys into the game i had dreamed of, Tony leading a team against terroists, Michelle defedning Kim against terroists, Kim finally getting to grips and kicking some ass, Chase undercover silenty taking out the enemy, and of course Jack screaming through the streets and landing into the hot zone. This game brings back many memories, Jack storming the base in season 4, running at enbemies screaming "DROP OU WEAPON NOW!!!!!!!" this game is so much more.I will admit sometimes the aim is off, or enemies are too dumb to surrender even if Jacks at the side of them pointing a shotgun in their face,Kim sometimes needs shooting because she doesnt wanna follow Daddy home she wants to be recaptured. But in essence ths is one hell of a game, just don't be like me and spend three days in a row playing and then finding out you've got detnetion for not doing homework and my excuse didn t work "But Miss i had to stop a device blowing.." well i can't reveal the story to you can I.

24: The Game is available on the Playstation 2. It is based on the hit US TV show called 24. The premise of the game is that over a period of 24 hours, the federal agent Jack Bauer is attempting to stop a criminal gang and save many lives. You take part in several different missions which are divided into hours. The action sequences take place in a building or an area, in which the character must attack enemy suspects and complete objectives. The driving segments require the player to get to a certain area on the map, sometimes while being chased by the police.Hacking on the other hand, requires the user to complete problem-solving tasks by matching coloured cubes, travelling through cyberspace and entering the correct code. There are also Interrogation scenes where the player character must use dialogue which matches the suspect's emotional state at the time. While the game is linear, it is fun and exciting. There are a few surprises and multiple choices to keep players engaged. If you're a fan of the spy genre or of the 24 series, you will most probably enjoy this.

OK, if you are thinking of buying this game.....I would bite the bullet and buy it. It is simple and enjoyable, and that basically sums it up. OK- the graphics may not be cutting edge, and some of the AI is a little dodgy at time (no where near as bad as some of the MOH), but it is good fun. The acid test, when you are forced to turn it off, you think about the level you are on.The characters are also "OK" - even some good mannerisms. The cars drive like wading hippos, but if you have even driven an American car....it is not bad. Some levels can be annoying with some bugs that mean you cannot finish a level even though it is complete, and the end levels are quite easy.I would agree that the soundtrack is good.Overall - I base everything on The Wolfenstein Scale (in my opinion the greatest PS2 game ever....cue the arguments), and this would be a 7/10.

When you buy 24 The game you expect it just like the TV series. There is one problem. It isn't.Do not get me wrong as I am not saying it is a fun game to play which it is but there is too much action and less of the challenge. Also the game doesn't last 24 hours as you can complete the first three "hours" in one hour. This is a major flaw.Hiwever, this is a very good game. The graphics and the cut scenes are absolutely magnificent and the aiming system is brilliant and very helpful for shooting. The mini-games are decent as well as varying in difficulty. All the cast are in it, including Keifer Sutherland's (Jack Bauer) voiceover.Overall this game is fun to play with plenty of missions and unlockables to go around and completion is easy.It really does catch the atmosphere, the tension that 24 has. A joy to play! One of the best shoot 'em ups of 2006.

This is a great game.I am a fan of the series and i managed to get hold of this. It is brilliant. Its not just about shooting etc, there are a variety of tasks that takes different skills to complete. Ok, some may be quite easy, others will take a couple of efforts.Great graphics, all the actors voices, fun extras, great playability.2 bad points.1) the driving parts, the cars were not that great to handle - could be better - but as this is only a small part of the game it can be negligible.2) i wish there were more levels, or a free roaming aspect, where you could play as Jack or someone else to undertake various tasks when you felt like it - this would make this game awesome!!!Overall,a great game and i hope there will be a sequel

If your a fan of 24 then it doesnt get much better than this, I got the game yesterday and have played a good deal into it.. the graphics are quality, not the best they could be, but that doesnt deter from the overall look of the game which fit's in perfectly with the television programme. It's all in here...the storyline (from the actual writers) the music (from the show's composer) the character's and the voice's of the actual cast and the feel is spot on as it's in conjunction with the series it fills in all the story and plot holes inbetween season 2 and 3 which just makes it better.. the variation in between on-foot,driving and puzzles is spot on and Here's hoping they do the same for inbetween series 3 & 4 and 4 & 5....Highly recommended!

I have been lucky enough to have been given a test disk (demo) for this game and it is fantastic, I loved series one and never missed a day. I am definately going to buy a copy and will recommend it to my freinds, we forgot how good 24 was and I am looking forward to playing this game until the end.You must get this game before anyone else tells you what is happening, I am sure the twist at the end will be as good as the series. Kiefer Sutherland fully endorses this programme because it is great. If you are as lucky as I was you must rate this, get it as soon as you can and tell your mates... If you don't think it is one of the best games you have played I will eat my keyboard and I am sure Iwon't have to...

Well i waited a long time for this game and when it came i didn't want to be disappointed! And i can safely say i wasn't! Any 24 fan will absolutely love this game, the missions, gameplay, variety of tasks, graphics, storyline are all superb! This game was so good i stayed up on an all nighter which i've never done before with any game! The 1 criticism of this game is that there isn't enough of it, i've finished it now and just want more! I'm praying they bring out another 24 series game because i'm dying for the next one already! But for a first (and hopefully not only try) this is excellent and i truly recommend it for all of you, you will not be disappointed!
