I got this game a couple of months ago, in a bid to shape up a bit and get fitter. Has it worked? Well, so far I've lost over a stone and I attribute quite a lot of that to doing half an hour of exercise with this game roughly 4 times a week. The best thing is that it's so varied that I'm not getting bored of it at all, so I will continue to keep doing this even though I've pretty much reached my weight goal as I know that my fitness level can still improve a lot. When you start this game, as with other Kinect games, it puts an image of you up on screen, (and it doesn't tend to be a particularly flattering image)...so don't be shocked! If anything, though, this can be a motivator! You can set your age, height and weight etc so that the program can more accurately measure calories burned, which it then shows you whilst you're exercising, (and keeps a running total at the top). Then there is a choice of exercises that are grouped according to their function such as warm-up, cardio etc and you get to see yourself doing them. Within quite a few of the options, such as cardio, you then have a choice of length of workout, (starting from just a couple of minutes), which is great because even if you're short on time you can do a few quick routines and still feel angelic! Some of the categories are hard work - really hard work - but others are quite gentle so there is definitely something in there for everyone as long as you're guided by your body. Although the game says that it's not to be used by children, our kids love having a go on it on days when they can't go outside because the weather is just too horrid. They play on some of the more game-like sections and really enjoy the skipping and trying to beat each others' time at running, which is great because they have fun and run off some energy at the same time. Win win! My partner is really quite fit and still finds that some of the routines provide a challenging workout, so really it can be used by almost anyone. The Kinect has been used to good effect in this game and, although of course it doesn't always pick up every movement perfectly, in general it seems pretty good at accurately detecting what you're doing...and it can therefore offer good advice during the exercises as to how to improve, (not that I'm always in a position to "lift your knees higher" whilst gasping for breath whilst doing a cardio routine!).If you have an Xbox and are thinking about getting a bit fitter then I can't recommend this game highly enough. Take things at your own pace and mix it up a bit and I'm sure you'll see results. Highly recommended!

I bought this as I was sick of waiting for the weather to change. It had been far too cold to go out for a jog or a cycle ride. Anyway since my purchase I've only used it twice. :-( That's not because it's not good, it is an excellent way of burning calories from the comfort of your living room. However, you need 2 things.1. Plenty of space in front of your TV and kinect box. I have my in the conservatory, which is a decent size but some of the exercises require greater movement, which means knocking my knees and joints against the furniture.2. Plenty of dedication. If you are on your own and have an audience of young children laughing at your every move then I would say Good Luck!!If you can partner with someone then it can be more fun but then you are back to my point 1 above.

I believe this is a really good product and does give you an adequate workout - enough to get you grunting and sweaty. The best point for me is that it allows you to use dumbells with the resistance exercises as opposed to something like EA Active for the wii which relies on resistance bands which I find pretty useless. There is quite a lot of variety and whilst running, the challenges are great for getting you going. The only downside for me would be that during the exercise routines there are too many gaps between exercises - they need to be more continuous to really keep you out of breath.Overall - very good - but remember its only as good as the amount of energy you put into it.

Actually makes working out seem fun. The is a great variety of games and workouts depending on your mood and fitness level. I bought it to try and get some fitness back before re-joining the gym and embarrassing myself. You achieve a lot through only a few minutes of exercises, without feeling like you are over exerting yourself.Great choice of lengths and difficulty levels for each game, must say the skipping and stomp games are the best for working out without feeling like you are doing anything.Would recommend it to anyone, fit or unfit.Has party modes on it too so you can turn it into a competition and have fun with it

Takes ages to load any workout or go back to the main menu and the game keeps freezing, I also appear to have brought a duff game as I can't download it to my xbox. Checked the disc and there are no scratches or damage to the disc so might just be unlucky to have been sent a duff copy. When the workouta finally load they are fun, hoping the get longer as I progress up the levels as having a 10 minute wait between workouts while I switch off my xbox and reload the game is really annoying.

Just have to say this game is great. Not much of a fan of the bollywood dancing being a bloke and everything some of the dancing i think is aimed mainly at women! At least give the choice to select your gender, come on! Im sure my gf loves laughing at me dance like a woman doing bollywood!Other than that the sessions are great and do keep you motivated.Ive definitely felt a positive effect and my pants are now loose after a month.Worth a purchase if you put the effort in.

Not been on it enough yet to go fully into it, but there's quite a lot of exercises and workouts on it to keep you going. Some of the games/exercises also have up to a 4 player option so the family can get fit together. For some of the Arm building exercises your supposed to use dumb bells, but seeing as I don't have any I use a couple of bottles of water, or once I used tins of meatballs. Overall you can work out a good sweat and lose weight if used properly.

I'm still working my way through all of the activities on this and it seems it may take some time until I have tried all of them. Its been great fun to play through multiplayer activities such as wall breaker. The real time feedback for your whole body is something that no other console can boast, other than the Xbox with Kinect. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to have more energy and become fitter.

I bought this and zumba cor as me and my gf want to get a bit fitter and work silly hours. Both have great reviews, and I was just going to get zumba and see how we got on...but when that is £30 and this was just over £10, I thought i might as well.I may as well have put £30 in a box and sealed it. I'm not saying zumba isn't good...we've just not been on it yet as this is so good!

Awesome game, really gives you a god workout, thought this might be a bit of a gimick but I've been on this for 2 months now and it's working well for me. So much easier to spend a quick hour in your living room than lugging yourself off to the gym.Only minor complaint would be that it doesn't always detect your movements well (more of a kinect limitation than this game though)

Pretty good exercise collection. There's a variety of warm ups, general work outs and dance/aerobic routines to select from, which are generally pretty good. However, quite a lot of the sequences are a bit brief so you stop and start a bit. Nevertheless there are some longer sessions so you can pick to suit. There are facilities to track activity.

Good game for girls - they think that it will make them fit :) In reality you will spend more time per workout in front of the TV than simply doing your workout and the workout probably would not be that intensive. So if you need to lure someone to get off the couch it is fine. But it ain't no replacement for the workout.

got this after having my second baby with having no chance of getting out to the gym, kids go to bed and this goes in for half an hour, 3 times a week. lots of workouts, classes and mini games to suit your level and achieve your personalised goals. A MUST. so much cheaper than a gym member ship!

This game tracks body movements well and make exercise fun, offering a comprehensive set of exercises. Only the cheesy american voice takes the gloss off an otherwise great product. You do need the Kinect sensor in a position to see you on the floor else you disappear during press ups!

I do about an hour a couple of times a week just to remain in shape. Each time I feel like I've done a proper work out (muscles ache 1-2 days afterwards, a sign that I've definitely done something!). A wide variety of activities to chose from and at different levels to suit the user.
