This game is so amazing and underrated! If you're into RPGs and the monster collecting element of games, then this game is for you. It's more challenging than Pokémon in many aspects (for instance you can't choose what your Yo-kai do in battles), but it's also completely different (so please don't buy/ play the game thinking it's similar or a copy of Pokémon). The game play is unique and fun, the characters are adorable and the plot is quite good. I just love how fresh and new this game feels and after finishing my first play through (especially with all the RPGs out there), I'm dying to get my hands on Yo-kai Watch 2 (should be coming out later this year for America and perhaps next year for the EU/

Played the free demo prior to buying the game and thought was worth purchasing the full game.The game has a good main storyline and fun little side quests to complete. The characters are interesting, I love Japan so it's good to see bits and pieces from Japanese folklore. Quite similar to Pokemon as mentioned in other reviews - if you're a fan of Pokemon then you'll enjoy this game - hoping that this will prove popular enough to get sequels

A great game and a series to rival other hand held RPGs, some quests are a tad repetitive but the overall story and game play are fun. It's a children's game so keep that in mind, I've heard a lot of people complain it was to childish but y'know you wouldn't complain because a bee was making honey so don't complain when a game aimed at children is on the more laid back and fun side.

Well I paid... no I'm kidding - I read the rules! :D But it was a great price for a neat little game, that I still haven't played yet. The graphics are pretty good, quite surprised for the 3DS - that thing really holds up, even though the Switch Lite has kicked it to the curb; the 3DS will still have a special place in my heart! :D Oh yeah the game - looks very good! YAY!

I loved every aspect of this game. The story. The graphics and the gameplay. I just found it to be such an awesome game. I personnaly found it quite challenging as well, when I got to certain boss battles. Personally I would dismiss the idea of this being for younger children. 10 and up at the least, purely because of the challenge of the game.

My son has been playing it for a while and says it's a similar collecting game to the pokemon games. He says it is fairly easy, so it is suitable for children who are new to gaming from 4 & up he is 7 and enjoys the Zelda games as the offer more of a challenge, but enjoys playing it from time to time.

Bought this for my 7 year old daughter, she's at a beginner level for playing games and this game hasn't been too hard to understand for her. She's not reading fully yet but was easily able to figure out what to do.The game itself is very fun and has hundreds of hours of entertainment.

This is a really fun game. I was getting a bit bored with my 3DS and this has started me playing it again.I've neglected the main storyline a bit as there's lots of exploring and side quests to do which is great. Really pleased I bought this! :D

Such a good game, it has great storyline and kept me entertained for hours on end. Even when i finished it the amount to do will make you keep coming back to the game to finish side challenges ect. Would really recommend such a good game.

I bought 2 of these. I’ve given one already. The Grandchildren that play it are 7 and 5. It looks good. They enjoy playing it when they are here, so if they’re happy then I’m happy. Yet to give the other one to my other Grandchildren.

My son has just gotten into Yo Kai, everything is now themed. He is enjoying this game a lot, the graphics are good, he occasionally puts it to one side when when an uber boss is frustrating him, but he keeps coming back to it.

I bought this product for my son and he absolutely loved it. This is a great alternative to "Pokemon" type games with the same Japanese flare and character design. Just beware the catchy sound effects ?

Great, fun game. Cute graphics and characters, funky music and fun gameplay. A lot of hours of gameplay packed into this. If you're a fan of Pokemon games, you should enjoy this.

Am enjoying this game so much!!so much to do & really fun monsters crack me up when they announce their names great lil RPG plus you can play as a boy or girl which i love!
