I have been on the hunt for a nice looking recycling bin for months. I was initially put off the Wesco bin by the terrible reviews I read about this, and if there had been more choice out there, this would not have been my first choice. However my home is small and my kitchen was always awash with recycling and I HAD to find something that would do the job and also complement my kitchen.I have read a lot about how the rubbish does not fall into the correct compartments and such forth, and find that this is not the case. It works perfectly fine. I do wish the pockets in to the bin were bigger (it's not possible to scrape a dinner plate into the opening properly as the hole is too small, but the holes aligns perfectly well with the allotted compartment.I also like that you can use plenty of cheaper bin liners with this (particularly for slim bins) and I am able to use the recycling liner over and over again as I only put dry waste in there. Joseph Joseph try to push their own bin liners on you which are ridiculously expensive. There is also negativity about the fact that you have to remove the whole of the bin (not just the top section) to get to empty its contents. This is true and the bin is sturdy and therefore quite heavy but a real benefit is that you will never have unsightly bin liners on sight, so everything is neat and tidy.I initially tried the Joseph Joseph recycling bin which I liked a lot but both of the bins I ordered from Amazon arrived with dents in the them. The Joseph Joseph I like better because it offered as much as four separate receptacles, rather than two with this one, and as I needed 3 this was a compromise. The Wesco bin looks much more classy and I very much like the retro styling. (Though the Joseph Joseph wins on compactibility as been square it is more easily stored in smaller areas). In my opinion this is the best one out of the ridiculously small amount of recycling bins nice enough to have in display in your kitchen. I am sure that this must change. I am amazed there is not more choice out there as people routinely recycle, don't they?!

Wow I never thought a bin could be gorgeous! This one is great, one side for rubbish, the other for recycling the outside shell lifts off completely for emptying making it easy and clean to use. It matches the smeg red of kitchen appliances too. I did end up buying the rolling wheels for it as it is a bit hard to move otherwise.

Really happy with this product- looks good and solves our recycling problem. Glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews- it is a pain to lift the outer shell off to empty the bins but its necessary because of the design. Doesn't need to be changed that often as the 2 sections are a reasonable size.

Really like the bin. Initially a bit of a problem working out how the bin lifted off the inside when first purchased, but once I had it released it has been fine. Good spacious compartments. Just right for my once a week rubbish, and bi-weekly recycling collection.

Love the retro look, it’s very sturdy I just wish I’d gone for the one push as the two compartments are a bit small.
