I'm really surprised that there are not more reviews on this stunning pen, that is not only gorgeous in its design and weight, but buttery smooth and fabulous to write with.I have a few Waterman fountain pens, both new and vintage in a small collection that was ever growing untill I snapped this one up for a bargain. My collecting has now stopped as I have now found my perfect pen.The steel medium nib is surprisingly smooth and glides across the page with a gorgeous thick line, which is comparable in width and smoothness to the gold medium nib of my Carene, but slightly finer in width than a medium Hemisphere.The pen has a lovely weight and width, which is very pleasant in the hand,

This was a treat from my husband for one of those 'milestone' birthdays(I hesitate to mention which one...) and he knows what a fountain pen freak I am ! I particularly love Waterman pens, for so many reasons...and this one is no exception. Classic Waterman design(my history teacher had a Waterman in this sort of design that I used to admire from afar LONG, long ago - did I mention I had just had a milestone birthday?)but with a modern twist. Lovely balance in my smallish female left hand(which is why I always leave fountain pens 'unposted' as it makes them too heavy for me..and too long!) and writes a little thinner than the usual Waterman medium nib but is very, very smooth. I love it !

This pen writes well, has good balance and looks the part. My previous Waterman (expert, black) had poor ink flow (it was nice when it worked) and was a replacement for a much nicer blue version that was "lost" in a hotel at National Harbour (USA). I nearly did not buy this pen as a result of this personal experience and poor reviews of other waterman pens (Watermans need to take heed and improve their quality control) but I am glad that I did. Generally pleased with this purchase, delivery was quick and I have been pleasantly surprised at how well the pen writes.

Certainly a sweet pen. Very sharp looking especially in that gorgeous blue & chrome! As for the writing experience, this pen writes excellent. I do find I use it unposted, since it gets a bit akward when used posted. For a fine nib it writes a bit heavy, but I've had no bleed through, even on cheap paper. Every time I put this pen to paper it works, and it glides nicely across the paper. This pen is worth every penny I paid for it.

I have a collection of Waterman fountain pens and this is one of my most used.I have always found the Waterman nib excellent and silky when writing even on low quality own brand printer paper. The higher the quality paper this thing shines. The size of the barrel is just right, not too big not too small.Perfect plus it looks the business when in front of customers, better than a Bic any day of the week.

Not quite as shiny as it seems in pictures, nor can you feel design. I love it though. Flows great and slow to dry out. Feels like a proper pen. Not to light. I'm a man with big hands and like a small ish pen (normal) and it suits me well. Fine nib is perfect any bigger and the text would not fit into lined pages well. Nice Details. Perfect for full rrp although I only paid 62 sterling.

It is a medium weight medium wide writing fountain pen with good finish and smooth writing. It has a steel nib but absolutely no scratching, I love that pen. It is rather compact and sturdy with an interesting pattern and a light blue color. I like its rather chopped of ends. It is a fairly wet writer. I recommend it.

I 'nearly' love it. Quite beautiful build.....can't actually write anything coz there was no inclusion of a cartridge, which is , of course......... thingy, err, usually regarded as vital ie once I've tried it, written with it, had my way with it...... bollloccks; it should have included some ink!!!!!!! so, grrrr

Replacing a previous Waterman, again this is a lovely pen and a joy to use. Smart pen, nice case, although slightly annoying that I don't think you can change the nib, to italic for example, without going to a shop, as I tried to before and broke a part. So if you are happy with one nib, I would highly recommend.

When was the last time you wrote with a fountain pen? That long, eh? This pen is simply a lovely way to lay ink on paper and I have been buying these pens for 20 years (I lose them regularly). Of all the fountain pens I've used, Waterman are by far and away the best.

I do love an ink pen. Proper ink, not ball point or roller ball.This pen, whilst lighter than some of Watermans offerings, still has a good weight and feel and the usual excellent standard of Waterman nib. A joy to write with and comfortable to use every day.

This is a superb fountain pen, albeit quite expensive. It looks good, it feels really good to handle and use and it writes brilliantly. I bought it as a present for my son and he is delighted, it will last and give him great pleasure for many years.

Haven't written with a fountain pen since I was at junior school - wishing I had now but maybe they wouldn't have been this good! Lovely and smooth to write with with no leakage. Good looking too. Wife won't let me take it to work in case I lose it!

The balance and look of this pen encourages good writing. Its stylishly elegant gold and black convey a rather modestly understated, fine quality and it writes very well. I'd recommend it to anyone who has someone to impress with their letters.

A beautiful pen with a very solid feel. Generally a very good flow of ink but the writing experience seems very dependent on the quality of the paper. The medium nib is on the fine side, which is perfect.
