A disposable fountain pen is a bit of a novelty and people *will* ask you about the pen when they see you using it.Happily it's a surprisingly good fountain pen with a much better nib distortion and even stroke (a reasonable lack of nib flex) than it should have for this price. The ink flows nicely with little pressure and the flow is just right - not too much ink is delivered. When I first looked at the nib I didn't see any "fins". Fins - a groove like plastic sponge at the back of most nibs - are essential in a fountain pen to absorb an over supply of ink to the nib and prevent leaking. The fins are actually present in the V-Pen but within the body of the pen behind the nib. This must be a measure by Pilot to reduce the cost of nib manufacture. What amazes me is how well it works - if anything better than the traditional in nib structure. It also means that the pen is less messy around the nib/back of the nib.The ink (black in my purchase) is also of fairly good quality. It dries nicely in terms of time to dry and evenness of the result. There is no blotting on average quality (80gsm) paper. Like all fountain pen ink however it does mean that you have to use thicker paper than most economy reams provide. I wasn't happy with the results on 50gsm paper in terms of the ink showing through and blotting but this, of course, is a comment on fountain pen ink in general and not a comment on this pen.The barrel of the pen is not filled to capacity with ink. It's a bit naughty of Pilot, I think, to have closed off at least an inch of the barrel to the ink reservoir. This gives the pen a usable length in terms of grip but it's a shame that the length wasn't used to store more ink. I estimate that there is probably a bit less ink in the pen as there is in a Parker Quink cartridge. Each pen lasts me about four weeks with, approximately, 30 minutes of writing per day.The feel of the pen is though very good. The body of the pen is, for me, the right size - a nice grip without being bulky.I've also done leak tests - inadvertently leaving the pen nib down in my pocket all day (doh!) - and it didn't leak. These pens are not going to give premium fountain pens a run for their money in terms of quality of ink or solidity of the nib. However if, like me, you don't want to spend money on a more expensive fountain pen (which you'll just lose or break through stress playing with the clip) then the Pilot V-Pen is an excellent choice. The pen is disposable and is definitely not designed (or rather marketed) to be refilled after the ink is depleted. It is however possible to refill the pen on a DIY basis (Youtube is your friend). Personally I wouldn't advise this. The pen as it stands has been designed to resist leaks. I suspect that once you start fiddling with the seals you may be asking for trouble.I've notice after a few weeks of switching from a ballpoint pen to the V-Pen that my writing is less cramped and pressured (and my hand is having to work less hard too!)I would definitely buy another set of V-Pens.

Being a self-confessed pen addict, it was only ever a matter of time before a box of these was landing on my doormat. I have been using them at work recently and several people have remarked on 'how much more professional' I look when I'm using them. Putting aside the obvious dig at me there (at least for the moment), I'm fairly certain it is the romance of the fountain pen they are referring to. And these disposable ones manage to take that romance one stage further, by not leaving massive ink blots all over the place which will result in you getting a detention or a few strokes of the cane. Ah, it looks like these pens also know where the bodies are buried in quite a few of my Memory Lanes too.But these Pilot pens are friendly and extremely comfortable to work with, although they do feel very light. I do write with them sometimes of course, but mainly I use them for drawing. I may look 'much more professional' when I'm using these pens at work but I'm still more than likely just going to be doodling a picture of a staircase, or a chimney or a cactus at any given moment. My doodles do look a lot 'more professional' though, when created in partnership with these pens.I have had no problems with 'bleed', nor with anything fading over a significant period of time. It's rather a pity that actually, as I have been using these pens for cheque-signing purposes very much in the hopes that my signature might miraculously vanish before my creditors can get to the bank. The ink supply lasts a good while as well although I can't say whether it is 'erasable' or not as there seems to be no way of actually finding out. If there is an 'eradicator' built into this pen then Desmond Llewellyn or someone else from James Bond's department must have concealed it very well, because I certainly haven't been able to find it.I would just like to add one point - these can leak. Oh yes, they are not quite infallible. Granted, I had wrenched the end off the particular pen I'm referring to in order to check whether there might have been an 'eradicator' hidden beneath it, but I also thought I had replaced it properly. The funny thing is, the pen did not leak in my shirt pocket, nor was there a trace of wayward ink on either my doodles or my hands. But, when I looked in the mirror, I was somewhat taken aback to discover I had apparently morphed into Lady Gaga. Or, at least, my black 'lipstick' might have given that impression: especially with the blonde wig and the make-up I was wearing that day as well. But that's quite another story.

Pilot V-Pen Disposable Fountain Pen Wallet of 3 black are a set of pens I would happily recommend to all customers who like to write with a pen which produces nice even strokes. I was amazed when I received this set as the fluid pen strokes makes writing once again a pleasurable experience. Many years ago when I was at primary school we were taught to write properly with fountain pens as the nibs produces neater writing, and I still believe this is the case. Like many people I have got out of the habit therefore when I grabbed any old pen my writing would need a translator to overcome the untidiness and even found myself wondering what I actually did write down. Therefore when I seen the Pilot fountain pen advertised I decided to give them a go and I am so glad I did as now once again I am producing writing which I can read and not only that other people can read my writing mainly because of the nib as I have noticed the way the pen glides across the paper with no blotchiness etc.Pilot V-Pen Disposable Fountain Pen Wallet of 3 Black are a set of pens which I would recommend to any customer who wants a pen which works well and not only that unlike ordinary fountain pens there is no leakage of ink as there are no ink cartridges to loosen and make a mess or the ink well within the pen which are in the older style fountain pens. These pens are a nice cheap pen which works well for me and I do like the writing they produce which are the two main reasons I am recommending this set of pens as an excellent buy.

I purchased these pens a few weeks ago as a convenient way to carry a fountain pen. They certainly seem to do the trick.Pros:They don't leak - I have been carrying one around in my backpack which gets thrown around all the time for several weeks and not a sign of any leakage. They are convenient - No messing around with cartridges, refilling etc. Grab a new one and you are up and running right away, when it runs out just replace it.They are comfortable to write with - For such an affordable fountain pen, they are extremely comfortable to write with. They are certainly a great way to get started writing with a fountain pen for beginners too!Cons:Black ink not so dark - This is the designer in me being picky, but I like black ink to be REALLY black. The ink is not quite what I'd hope forMedium Nib - Again, this is personal preference more than anything, but I would have preferred a finer nib myselfOverall these are great value fountain pens and extremely convenient!

Exactly as currently pictured in the above stock images, these disposable fountain pens are light in hand but comfortable and really easy to work with, in my experience. They are less hassle than carrying an ink bottle or replacing ink cartridges which, I often find, take ages to flow through to the nib.I use these mainly for note taking when I am out and about and when I want to add some colour to the proceedings. The 0.58 mm nibs are not scratchy, the ink flows well & lasts a fair while depending on the task in hand and you can see the ink level on each. The ink dries quickly, and I find that there is no bleed-through on quality paper (80 gsm+).The 6 different colours come in a plastic-type pack measuring around 14 cm x 7.5 cm x 1.5 cm,not including the point of sale header, which is a handy transporter for a time.Arguably, on the expensive side, but I stock up when they are on offer!~ PILOT~ V PEN~ DISPOSABLE FOUNTAIN PEN~ PACK OF 6 ~ all different colours

I came across these pens when they were recommended by a fellow reviewer. They are light and very comfortable to hold. I prefer to balance the pen by attaching the cap back on to the barrel for extra dexterity and control. There is never any of the mess normally associated with using a fountain pen, just the plus sides - smooth flowing writing, quicker script, the more professional effect of ink writing rather than biro. Leaving the lid off for while doesn't seem to matter - altogether these pens are very forgiving. The nib genuinely is one size fits all, no scratchiness or splutter. The barrel is just a large capacity ink container which for me has given many miles of clean lines and not yet run out.At first I thought it would be wasteful to throw away a pen after use but I can see why these are not, they last so long and never cause any trouble. I shall buy more in different colours just for the fun of it.

In a world where few of us actually use a FountainPen any more, these disposable fountain pens arean ideal pen to have at hand when needing to signimportant documents. They do have a rather thick nib, but it has a goodink flow and whilst one review states that the inkshows through on the other side of the paper, Ifound that if I use a quality writing paper, then theseep through is absent. My only gripe is that I shouldhave liked to have had the choice of a fine or mediumnib. The word "erasable" is printed on the barrel of thepen, but it does not seem to erase with a basicschool ink eraser.Available in Black, Blue,Red and Green,I prefer the black.A cheap alternative to the old style fountain penswhich always seemed to leak into my blazer pocketand drive my mother crazy.Worth trying at this price.

I love these pens - they're a great alternative to some of the more expensive ballpoint pens that are doing the rounds these days. We have some in our office stationery cupboard from timeto time, and they're all taken very quickly indeed (not sure if that's a good thing or not, actually!)The nibs are firm, with a nice width; the flow you get from a fountain pen makes writing even the most mundane of things a pleasure for, and seems to improve the appearance of my handwriting too. I'm left-handed, and have no problem with them. They've also got a good long life - I use mine a lot, and they last about the same sort of time as a gel pen. The green ink is particularly dark - it doesn't have the ook of the lunatic asylum about it; rather,it looks quite... 'leafy'!Finally, they don't leak either :)

I love these pens. I actually worry myself by how much I love these pens. I've given them five stars which implies perfection, and to be fair they are not. I don't think that they're particularly pretty pens and both the Zebra Fuente and the Bic disposable fountain pen hold more ink, while costing less. So why five stars? One, less important I always know exactly how much ink is left in the pen. Which give me a sense of safety, I know that is sad. Two, incredibly important, it writes like a dream. It doesn't skip, it doesn't hard start, it glides over the page, I feel no scratchyness or even toothyness. The writing experience is superb. IMHO this is the best disposable fountain pen on the market.I'm now trying to convince myself that I don't need to buy a lifetime supply of these right now.

I suffer from appallingly bad hand writing, but for some reason, it always seems to improve when I use a fountain pen. Although I have a couple of good fountain pens (Schaeffer) I am always reluctant to use them while travelling on business, as they have a tendency to leak on airplanes and I worry about losing them. Step up the Pilot V Fountain Pen - what a great find. Although the nib is not quite the same quality as my Schaeffers, it is not far behind, and writes beautifully. It also has the advantage of lasting a very very long time. There are an excellent number of different colours to chooses from - so no need to have lots of different coloured bottles of ink. And they are so cheap, there is no need to get paranoid over losing them.

This is a great little fountain pen, and it’s cheap! The nib is a little too broad for my preference, and so far I’ve found it to be just a little scratchy but the ink dries almost instantly. I’ve tested it with a Frixion eraser and haven’t been able to remove any ink, but that’s not why I chose this pen.I bought a 3 pack black so my 11yo daughter could try out a fountain pen, and she loves it just as much as me. My 7yo son even enjoys writing with it (after some practice).I have Arthritis in my hands and find it a little too thin for long use, but will be keeping one of the pens for myself. If you’re reading these reviews, it’s a Pilot, one of the best brands, it’s cheap, and above all it’s a great little pen - give it a try!

I wanted to try using fountain pens to see if it would slow my hand writing speed down a bit . I came across disposable fountain pens !The last time i used one was at school 40 + yrs ago and these were cheap things with push on plastic cartridges!Blue inky fingertips any one? Nod if you remember ?Any way ! I bought this set thinking they might not be any good but i'm really impressed they feel lovely and theres something so nice about the nib on paper when you write longhand or drawing!Did they slow my speed down a bit ? well yes they did and i'm hoping this make it easier to read my own writing back later on. Oh and by the way no blue fingers !
