With the InnoTV priced under £17 (5/3/16), I took a punt on this for my 4-year old after vtech announced plans to restore their online InnoTV services from 14th March. Knowing that I'd have to do a manual firmware update, I downloaded the software to SD card in advance and did the install straight out the box.And that's as fiddly as using the InnoTV has been (despite vetch's Learning Lodge being down). With the InnoTV's firmware updated, its been a joy to use and the 4-year old has absolutely loved it. Yes, you need to sign in as 'Guest' until the online services are restored, but this allows you to play your cartridge games as well as the 3 freebies you get as part of the update itself.

My 4 yr old daughter got this for xmas.....yes VTech were hacked so there unable to connect to the lodge and register.......they do give a work around if you buy a micro SD card.....but if like me ....I haven't got the time OR able to get the download to the SD card......then all you do is ring Vtech ( I got through within a minute ) and they will send you a micro SD card with the relevant update on it so you can play your games etc ......ok you still cant register and have to play as guest ...but my daughter is happy and loves this console so that is all that matters.....and the SD card update takes about a minute.....id be surprised if VTech don't sort this ...so this reduced price is a brill

bought this as an early xmas pressie hubby set it up once it arrived, said he was glad he had as it was tricky and hes a computer tech guy so knows whats hes doing, glad he wasn't trying to do it on xmas day with our 4 yr old screaming to play it, I don't think I would have be able to set it up, so we let her have a little play she loved it, so all packed up and sent to santa, she will have forgotten by then. games seem easy for the kids to work out and play and I know they will have hours of fun, I love the idea of the controller being able to switch from left to right handed people as hubby is left handed it will make a huge different

I decided to ignore the previous reviews as the price had gone down to £22 at the time of purchase, once the item had arrived I attempted to download to update onto an SD card however when this didn't work I phoned vtech who informed me that they weren't allowing downloads from their website, instead they posted the SD card with the update already loaded onto it free of charge, the inno tv unit now works perfectly and my 4 year old is enjoying her time playing on it and learning without even knowing it! For such a bargain price it really didn't bother me to have to make a phone call and wait for a disc, I wouldn't let it put you off.

This is a clever little box. Easy for kids to use. Had an issue with vtech as their learning lodge was down so couldn't use it for weeks as even though it was brand new - it needed an update!?I like that you can use the newer innotab games in this too. But in spite of all this, I still don't think I would've paid full price for it. I got it at a fab price from Amazon so I'm happy with it. Had I paid full whack - I don't think I would be.

I'm not one to write reviews but I think the current reviews for this product are really unfair. They are right, you need to update the console first and cant access it through Wi-Fi however it is really easy to download the softward onto a microSD card providing you have a card/internet. (I think most houses have these nowadays) Its been fairly easy to set up too, will post another review once my brother has used it! Merry Christmas

Beware at present this does not work outside the boxThere site was hacked a little while back so the lodge is down so it requires an update of the firmware to workIt's very simple to do but you will need a micro sd card as well as updating it they give you 3 games to tide you over till they get it all back onlineThe console itself is good and my 4 yr old loves it they are fun games which involve simple maths and spelling etc

This was bought by my mother in law for my 3 year olds birthday. He is still learning how to use it but is very pleased with it and enjoys the games. All works as it should so no complaints there. Looking forward to getting more games.

Perfect start console for my 5 year old daughter, great games that are fun to play whilst teaching her basic spelling and maths.Recommended. Amazon is the cheapest place I found to buy too and with quick free delivery.

cannot really give an accurate review as this was bought as a Christmas present for my 6 year old grandson. i have set it up to go as soon as it is opened and had a little play on it myself, which was good fun.

Our 4 year old loves it!!! We are very happy as parents as well as its design for children, educational and fun to play with. Recommend it :)

Great console for little ones. My little boy loves having his own computer and the games and controllers are really way for him to use.

My goddaughter loves it. She has an Innotab3s I bought her and now Innotv. Fully protected age 3-9 learning interactive games.

Came really quickly.This is for my son's 4th birthdat- I can't wait to see his face!
