I'm writing this review in response to those that have complained that these discs won't work with their DVD Recorders. I too, have encountered this problem (though not when I first started buying them, oddly enough - perhaps the lens needs to be cleaned?).If you are having difficulty formatting these discs, try burning a small file onto them first using your computer/laptop. My DVD Recorder refuses to format the discs when they are completely blank, but once I have put something onto them with my computer - a small image or music file burned straight onto the disc - they work perfectly. Doing this for 25 discs is time-consuming,

AFTER USING THE DISKS HAVE FOUND THAT THE DISKS NEED TO BE WIPED WITH A LINT FREE CLOTH,THE REASON FOR THIS IS, IF YOUR DVD RECORDER/PLAYER IS A BIT SENSITIVE A MESSAGE COMES UP WHEN FORMATTING THE DISK WAS UNSUCESSFUL, JUST WIPE THE DISK WITH THE LINT FREE CLOTH AND TRY FORMATTING THE DISK AGAIN THISSHOULD MAKE THE DISK FORMATABLE AGAIN,I USE FOUR FOUR DVD/VIDEO PLAYERS /RECORDERS BECAUSE I RECORD LOADS OF TV PROGRAMS,I AM NOW RETIRED SOME TIME AGO, SO USE THE DVDS QUITE OFTEN TO RECORD ON TO,ONE OF MY DVDS IS A BIT SENSITIVE SO USE ONE OF THE OTHER DVD PLAYERS TO FORMAT THESE DISKS SOME TIMES SO HAVE NOT HAD TO THROW OUT ANY DISKS AWAY,

I have repeatedly bought these and usually have no problem with them The picture quality is good Do not know why anyone would buy single use discs when these are available Single use are a total false economy ! I have had problems at times with the disc recording to the end of the space on it when programmed to do a Timer rec from the EPG,,sometimes for several hours after it should have stopped ,but do not know if that has been a faulty disc or if my machine has thrown a wobbly !

Verbatim 43639 4x DVD-RW 4.7GB (Spindle Pack of 25)I have used these blank dvd's for many years and found them to be trustworthy and reliable. Use on a regular basis, that is writing, erasing and re-writing to full capacity approximately every 2 to 3 weeks, a single disk will last indefinitely and, in my experience, at least 2 years, even with minor scratches. Longer if a recording is made to keep. Video playback and sound are acceptable to me.

The DVDs did exactly what I wanted them to. My DVD player/recorder issued the recommendation that I should optimise the hard disk. I needed to remove about 30 hours worth of recordings to start the exercise. Although I now have 30 odds hours of recordings on discs and an optimised hard disc on the DVD player/recorder I’ve yet to copy the discs’ content back onto the hard disc. Time will tell.

I've been buying Verbatim for years and have always been 5 star happy until now.However, the last lot I bought don't seem to be of the same high standard, as they show small scratches despite being handles with great care. Previously this only happened over a long period.It does not affect the DVDs working, but I'll be keeping an eye on itHope that this was just a bad batch.

I discovered that the software with my new Canon video camera would only use -RW DVDs, about the only type I didn't have. So I was extremely pleased when the ones I ordered from Annova via Amazon arrived well before the estimated delivery date. "Well done" to all concerned; needless to say they worked perfectly.

This is my second purchase of these DVD's and I am still pleased with the item as I use them for backing up my PC's so I need a quality item.Although this second purchase was more expensive than the last (not that unusual there I suppose).

My wife has managed to use most of the pack already without any problems, so good reliability and as as described. Only problem has been trying to play unfinalised discs in other machines but once there are finalised all is fine.

I use these to tranfer video from a hard drive/DVD recorder and conversion to MP4 on my PC . The volume of DVD-Rs used previously was getting out of hand. I just convert to MP4 and then reformat the DVD-RW for the next time.

When buying other brands of recordable CDs and DVDs I usually have several faulty discs that must be discarded in every pack. Not so with this brand. I feel they are top quality and will protect my data or recordings.

These DVD's are perfect for what I need, as I often have to delete titles, so RW are perfect...as you can just use again if necessary...I always buy this make, excellant value and never any problems...I recommend!!!

Always reliable and in a pack this size, the price is brilliant. I am not a pro but can recommend these DVD's to anyone who wants to make a clear copy with decent picture and sound.
