I picked this brand as a result of reading reviews which indicated that few, if any, write errors would occur (meaning that disks would be scrapped), as I've previously had bad experiences of this aspect of DVDs with other brands where up to half of the spindle have been reduced immediately to scrap.I'm now writing this after using my final (25th) disk, and can honestly say I've been very happy with the purchase. Out of 25 disks, I've only had one that I had to scrap — and that was my own fault from interrupting the programme, not the disk's!Obviously I can't comment on how long they'll last, but I've just received my next order of disks — a spindle of 50 of the same make from the same seller— so I'm hoping that these will be just as good (the first 2 have already been used with no problem) as they'll last me for a year or two.If buying more of the same isn't a good enough recommendation for the product, then I don't know what more I can say. :-)

I have a chipped Playstation 1 and 2 that can play games from burned media. The drives are picky about the kind of discs used. The majority of CD-Rs and DVD-Rs use a different and cheaper kind of dye that won't work well if at all in Playstations, although they'll work fine as a storage medium or in most CD/DVD players. However, Verbatim's AZO dye is of much better quality than your standard recordable CDs and DVDs. They work perfectly in my Playstations, and I'm so impressed by the quality I no longer use cheaper discs for other uses. I use AZO CD-Rs to copy my store-bought CDs to use in the car, and I use the AZO DVDs to create backups of important files. The AZO dye is much more resistant to environmental factors like UV light among other things. And as an added bonus, the bottom protective disc has a rather funny typo (see attached photo).

I've tried burning some of these and the burn results are excellent. They play on both my DVD players (including the DVD player on the Playstation 2). They also work well for burning Playstation 2 DVD-ROM backups (if you have a modified console).General performance of these discs are very good. I can't notice any kind of pixelling, skipping or audio/video syncing issues when burned as DVD Video. For the blank media techies out there, these have a Media ID of MCC 03RG20 and incidentally, these are Made in Taiwan. Rest assured these are excellent quality discs and second only to the legendary Taiyo Yuden manufactured blank DVD (have a look at the CDfreaks forum for more details).I saw this exact product just last week in Currys for £12.99.So that's a saving of over £6. This is a real bargain and I would definitely recommend. 5 stars.

MY PC drives never seem to complain about what DVDs I use, ultra cheapies from the pound shop, Tesco/Asda own brand etc. all work fine in my PC DVD writers. However, the same cannot be said of my DVD recorders. An old Pioneer DVR3100S would not write to any blank DVDs for more than a few seconds, it had trouble because it wasn't designed for todays higher speed discs (no firmware updates since about 2006). My Liteon also stopped writing reliably to most discs I tried. Well surprise, surprise, both recorders write happily and reliably to these, so far so good and of course they still work perfectly on my PC. Maybe it's the dye these discs use compared to some other makes that makes them more reliable and more likely to work, but whatever it is they have saved me money on a new DVD recorder :)

Sometimes these have provided perfect results! Other times I've had glitches/picture break up for about 3 minutes, around 20 minutes into the recording. I don't think this is particular to these, comparitively high quality, discs.I've only used one spindle of these. Tesco x4 DVD+RW have the problem more consistently. A couple of unbranded liqudated stock(could be anything) DVD+R sometimes have the problem. Total number of burns in no more than a dozen across all these discs. I'm using a domestic DVD player to burn home movies etc, not data in a PC drive. Conclusion: nothing to do with format (+/- R/RW), maybe quality* issue and/or burn speed. I'm going to try Taiyo Yuden manufactured discs that use the proprietory Taiyo Yuden dye.*No worse than most discs available.

After burning using moviemaker the first 2 discs were good but will only play in the lite-on or matsui DVD players not the Ingersoll. The 3rd disc then failed at 98% completed so tried again, this time it did complete after taking a much longer time than i would usually expect, this disc then refused to play in all 3 DVD players; lite-on, ingersoll, matsui. After reading other positive reviews on here i thought i'd give the -R discs a try as they were slightly cheaper and more readily available. So first impressions aren't encouraging but i'll keep trying and if problems continue i'll go back to +R discs as the last spindle of 25 was 100% succesful and plays in all 3 of my DVD players.Choose wisely people!!

Despite some poor reviews, I've had 100% success with these discs. They were recorded on a cheap PC DVD recorder, and then all played back perfectly on a mega-expensive, mega-fussy Toshiba player. Out of a spindle of 25 discs, I achieved 25 perfect recordings which is better than any other discs I have used. I've no idea if it helps, but I always record at half the stated speed of the discs - hence the above results were had by recording at x8, rather than x16.I think that judging the performance of media such as this is very difficult to do objectively. My personal experience is that often the media is blamed when the real problem lies with a faulty DVD writer.

Having been recording onto DVD for a number of years, I know there's nothing worse than timewasting due to resultant poor quality sound/vision. Started using both Verbatim DVD-R, and their DVD+R Dual Layer discs some months ago, and to date I haven't been disappointed....no 'coasters', no 'stutters', just crystal clear quality recordings. Another bonus is that these quality discs appear to be compatable for recording/playback on most makes of suitable equipment. Whilst usually a little more expensive to purchase Verbatim discs, reduced failure rate makes for a more affordable outcome. 'Verbatim' discs, I have found, "do exactly what it says on the tin".

I use Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden DVDs. I chose Verbatim over Taiyo Yuden mainly down to cost effectiveness. This Verbatim product, in my opinion, is probably the best quality and most reliable of blank recordable DVDs that you can buy on the market. It is a very rare thing that I get a bad burn with this product, and if you are looking to archive files on your PC, it has a really good shelf life. I have DVDs from years ago that still hold the data or home movies, and that are still 100% realiable.

A trusted brand so I always purchase Verbatim DVD's.I cannot remember the last time I had a 'coaster' where the burn failed. The quality is that good. So very happy with that.As with any brand of DVD who knows how long they will last so never rely on DVD as the only backup medium. Still, this far I think I can still go back as far as a decade to obtain data written on this brand of disk.Top job and will continue to purchase this brand.

I use an iMac desktop. The disks are OK as far as recording and playback are concerned, but the third one I tried jammed in the player, just would not do anything. I eventually managed to free it, otherwise it could have been an expensive experience. It was a faulty disk, as I tried it in an external player on the same computer, and it jammed again. I will keep the disks as I have checked the rest on the external CD ROM and they are OK.

Verbatim 43522 DVD-R 16x 4.7GB, 25 Pack SpindleI have bought many Verbatim disks, and I can honestly say that I have never had a faulty one yet.For the price, whether you want a 25 pack, 50 pack, or perhaps even a 100 pack, if you want that many, I highly recommend Verbatim. They're Strong, Robust, do not crack like some disks on the market and will perform very well without letting you down. What more could we want from disks. 5*+++

I recently bought a ' Verbatim 43533 DVD-R 4.7GB 16x Printable 50 Pack Spindle',.......all seemed OK until I stripped off the packaging and found that the discs have NO Verbatim logo on them, they are all just plain white, has anyone else received the same, and if so are they OK, or are they just bootlegs ? Needless to say I am reluctant to commit my vauable recordings to these discs, and am finding the deal very frustrating.

I am now on my fourth consignment of these blanks, and have not found any problems of any sort. I had to scrap one disc once because it had a manufacturing fault (a "bite" out of an edge) as it kept getting ejected, but thats it. Highly recomended, excellent product and 50% cheaper than anywhere else I've found. The service from Jersey was also excellent, always arriving two days after despatch.
