that applies to me at least. There's not a lot you can write in a review about digital media apart from whether or not the product did the job it is meant to. I use DVD's for data storage, mainly Photoshop, Illustrator or Camera Raw files. Well, from personal experience, I have found that these are fine for saving Photoshop (.ps), Illustrator (.ai), or any other format, apart from Camera Raw (.CR2).At first, I thought my Apple Superdrive had gone u/s, when, trying to save a folder with images to .CR2 format, the screen threw up a message saying "The device failed to calibrate the laser power level for this media." I have to admit, I had always been using DVD-R for Camera Raw stuff, but figured that +R would also be fine.Working logically, I went for the cheaper option first of buying a small pack of DVD-R, to check if the problem lay in the discs and not the Superdrive.Fortunately .CR2 files burn to the -R format discs, so I'll save the +R discs for non-RAW files. You live and learn.

Since receiving the first tub I ordered, I've burned around 20 discs. Testing them using Nero CD-DVD Speed's Quality Test, I've had nothing less than 95 out of 100 on the 'Quality score'. With my particular DVD Writer using software set at 'recommended speed' burning, these discs burn at 8x speed. However, I'm okay with that as it only takes a couple of minutes longer than a 16x burn.I was a bit skeptical when I saw that the media code (for my batch anyway) is RITEK-F16-01, but all my worries were put at ease after performing the aforementioned tests. I've always used Taiyo Yuden (JVC) and MCC branded discs without any problems, but I would say that these seem to be just as good. However, this will only prove itself when testing them again after a year or so, to see if the quality of their data retention is any good.Overall, I'm very happy with these superb discs and at such a great price, I'll be ordering more in the near future.

The 100 pack DVD+R's from Amazon are amazing value, cheapest by far. Great for backing up home video footage - I'm currently in the process of transferring analogue footage to DVD recorder then backing it up on these DVD's - doing it this way for speed, as the analogue video camera is on its last legs; once I have time to edit the footage properly, then I'll back up the edited version also. Also using the DVDs to copy footage from VHS tapes as VHS players are on the way out . . . The quality after transfer is excellent and footage I've transferred over the last few years has had no degradation when viewed over the past few months.Still have a lot of 8mm tapes to transfer so this is my second purchase of the 100 pack - only one duff disk in the original pack so a 99% success rate. Transferring home videos to DVD makes a great pressie for grand-parents - loads of memories!

I have always been a fan of TDK products, both in the days of cassette tapes as well as CD's and DVD's, I know that you can buy cheaper, but I believe in the old adage of "you get what you pay for" as a professional photographer I have a need to always back up my images and also I need to send images to customers too.My copying software is such that after copying or backing up images to my DVD's or CD's from my PC it runs through a verification process to satisfy itself that the copied content is accessible and free from any corruption, this is my reassurance of quality, and I feel confident in saying that out of the last three 100 cakeboxes of TDK DVD's I had one duff copy,I can more than comfortably live with that, hence why I am happy to give the brand my loyalty and recommend it to other potential users.

Pros: Always burn flawlessly. Been using this for 6 months now. TDK is the only brand I have used that burns consistently, and so that is the only brand I will forever buy!!!!Cons: what cons?I have burned over 700 of these TDK discs (I still have them all, I archive movies, photos and data on them). I have been burning for about 8 years now and I have tried different makes over the course of time and I have never truly been as satisfied as I am with TDK make. I have not had any burn error unless through myself, software or my computer's own fault! This is a truly heavens buy and experience!

I bought it as I badly needed few DVDs for me but I could not believe on price (about £8ish something). I bought it about 4-5 months ago and all the DVDs are working fine (unlike to my previous buying experience when I bought it from high street and 10% DVDs were not usable :( so actually I am very satisfied and happy customers). You cannot beat the price of this product with Argos, Wilkinson, Ryman or any other high street shop as they are selling it for more. so great buy with satisfaction and I would recommend it to you without doubt !!!

It's a lot cheaper than buying in my country (Portugal) and the quality is great as usual, never had a problem with one of these. Also the "cover" of the DVD is really simple light blue with only the brand and the characteristics of the DVD on the sides in light grey/transparent, very "clean" without annoying lines or big brands so you can actually write something on it that's not all pushed on the bottom of the space on like 3 lines. For anyone who cares about that. Most importantly: it works and it's cheaper. That's about it.

I sent for the discs and realised after that I should have bought -R's not +R's,+R's do not work on my Panasonic DVD recorder, unless you format them. Before they arrived I called in the local Tesco's and they had both TDK +R's and the -R's on special offer at less than the Amazon price,I bought a pack of -R's to use on the DVD recorder and now use the +R's on the computer.Pays to shop around. Both formats however are well worth the money and do the job they are intended for.

If everyone has their favourite meal, it's best to stick to what you know and like; it may be fun to be adventurous and to experiment a little but you may end up vomiting. I experimented with a vacuum-packed bundle of 100 Maxell DVD+R (thinking it was good value at the price) and my recorder just vomited the discs, screaming "Cannot record on this disc". So I went back to the tried-and-trusted TDK and my machine has returned to a gentle, purring sigh of "Yes - at last!"

I don't know what details other purchasers are looking for, when buying DVD+rs. But I can say, that apart from being round and shiny, the DVDs that I have tried so far seem to work perfectly and retain a decent clarity of picture from the original recording on the hard drive. The seller was quick I didn't use the more expense postage option but it was delivered quite promptly. Would definately consider buying theses DVD+Rs again and using this seller

I've used maybe two thirds of these so far, mostly for copying stuff off a hard drive recorder. I've had no failures or detectable glitches on either standard play (a tad over 2 hours) or extended play (up to 4 hours or so), and quality is as good as the originals. I generally buy TDK media anyway - cassettes (remember them?), CDs (audio and data) and DVDs, and can't recall a dud. At this price, they're really good value for money too!

Order came early,we’ll packed and exactly what was required! I have been buying this item from this seller for quite some time and have never had any problems ! I use them for transferring old camcorder tapes onto DVD”s and will certainly be buying more! The grandchildren are now wanting copies as they can play them on their TV’s and are having so much fun seeing themselves asBabies whilst in isolation ,thank you K Direct!

I purchased these TDK recordable discs from Amazon and therefore had the combined pleasures of buying my favourite Audio/Video requirements from my favourite retailer. After many years of using TDK video and audio cassettes I am pleased to observe that their normal high standards apply to the more recent items such as all types and configurations of DVD discs. And the price was better than anything I might find locally.

Ordered 29th., Jan and received 2nd., Feb. The TDK discs are just what I wanted with small amount of print on front so plenty of room to write on contents on discs and any colour pen will show up clearly. The packaging from Amazon not up to their usual good standard. Carton a bit too big, not enough package paper, so allowed the 'cakebox' to roll about loose. Fortunately the discs were well packaged so no harm done.

Got them in first thing in the morning, tested few- brilliant not a problem, "copied" film @ x16 burn speed DVD went in to picky Cambridge Audio DV-55 DVD player- plays well. Thus is in contrast to some DVD's purchased in the past either "coasters", either silly Burn speed or even some ("AOpen") that where (+) format and x8 write speed- my Stationarity player would not read...Will definitely buy them again!
