I don't really burn these discs on the computer, preferring to use them as 'everyday' discs for 'giveaways' and general use. I had also previously bought 2x50 packs when they were under a tenner each direct from Amazon so the value at that time was tremendous. Why they have suddenly jumped up to £ 15, £ 18 and £ 21 odd at today's prices (21.08.07) I can only put down to popularity I suppose. Anyway I have used them on a Daewoo, Funai and on Panasonic player/recorders and have yet to have a single `coaster' at all. In fact had they been at the original price they were when I first got them I would have ordered another 2-3 packs today. (which is why I'm currently at this page)

I used these "Memorex DVD-R 16x 50 pack cakebox" on two computers with 2 different DVD writers, an LG and a Pioneer. The LG GSA 4167B will write to them, but anything over 4 times and it's a coaster. I put this down to the LG writer and not to the disks, because on the second system with a Pioneer DVDR115 model they write flawlessly at 16x. For the purists, the DVD info label appears to be MBI 01RG40. Would buy again.

No fault to find with these blank dvds although I have noticed the price since I bought them has gone up by 3 pounds so Iwill not be purchasing for a while . I feel 11 pounds for a cakebox 50 is a bit much surely the price could be reduced to 8 pounds as they were. D Bowen.

These memorex are the first DVDS that I have bought and everyone that I have burnt has worked. Ive had all brands ffom data write to Philips. The quality that these disks give is far better and had no coasters. I suggest you get a proper computer if you can not burn them

I have used many different brands over the years.Memorex, Ricoh and Verbatim worked best for me.These Memorex DVDs are very good quality-wise and i haven't even had one "coaster" yet.A MUST BUY if you burn your own DVDs.Absolutely Recommended!
