Even though people, most probably don’t use DVD recorders anymore now ( it seems to be flash drives now a days). i wanted to transfer lots of video clips from my panasonic blue ray recorder to blank ? DVDs; in which was inserted in this device. so...i chose Phillips recordable dvds this time around. I’ve had no problems whatsoever with these recordable disc’s; and have not wasted any so far. They all seem to be burning and copying very well.A lot of people seem to be having issues with their recordable DVD disc’s ? it might be because of their equipment they are using; or it could be the wrong format? Or perhaps you may have not set it up properly. As I’ve just mentioned.....my recordable DVDs are burning perfectly.Good quality image too. i would most certainly recommend Phillips! No problems at all.Saturday afternoon at 15:12H 9th January 2021 ?? U.K. Southampton. Edited 7th February 2021.

Outer box was intact but the heavy 100-disc stack was not kept in place by the tiny amount of crumpled paper packing used in the empty space in an unnecessarily large box. In transit the base of the plastic case was broken and had burst out of the shrink wrap so that the spool was partially out of the lid. The lowest disc was shattered & the next disc scratched, plus particles had got between several other adjacent discs where gaps had opened up between them. This debris could be blown off & does not appear to have caused damage - but only usage will prove this.I have purchased Sony & Philips stacks of these DVD-R discs many times - the products are good but the packing is sometimes poor.I have seen minor damage to the cases before (because of movement inside the outer cartons)but not as bad as this and resulting in useless discs.

I have been using Philips DVD+R discs for seven years now. I have also, occasionally, used other branded name discs, and they have never come up to the same standard. I cannot remember the last time a Philips disc failed on me, and the record quality is always great (depending on the quality settings on the recorder). Even years later, the older discs seem to play well, with no noticeable degradation on the quality. My biggest worry is they are becoming harder to come by online. Amazon seems to be the only major place to get them in decent bundle numbers these days.I would thoroughly recommend these discs. As I say, after years - not just days or weeks - For me at least, other discs have never come close on quality.

Burned all 100 discs without a single failure, great discs to use at 16x burn speed and a superb price also.I noted other reviewers of this product had issues burning these discs but I suspect this was down to them not updating their DVD drive firmware to ensure full compatibility. Firmware has to be kept up to date to get the best performance from any blank media.Discs come in a plastic spindle tub of 100 discs, which I found was easy to use and stored the discs great.Would highly recommend these Philips discs for reliability and price.

Pleased with them so far and we have used ~20 of the 100 without a problem in recording, finalising, and playing back, including some on other machines. Was worried after reading "Not as good as they used to be - Published 9 months ago by Helen McRedmond " since all the other good reviews were well before hers at ~2011, and my previous purchases (at least 100 x2) had been that long ago too.Arrived in good time. Automatic re-delivery after we were out at the time it was first delivered.

I've used literally hundreds of philips blank dvd-r's and never had any problems with recording or playback, although they can start off a bit noisy when dubbing and first reading the disc on my computer and dvd player. This is the first time I've purchased them from Amazon and delivery was very good as per Amazon's usual service being a regular to buying from Amazon and these so far prove to be as reliable as the previous, you should be confident in choosing these discs.

My Sony DVD recorder was playing up with Sony and other major brands of DVD +R disks (not finalizing them properly). Strangely, DVD -R disks seemed to work but I don't have many of those. I figured I'd try yet another brand before throwing the recorder away. Every disk from this Philips +R cake I've used has worked faultlessly. So I'm definitely a happy customer. I can't say they'd work for you of course, nor that every disk will work for me but so far, so good.

Whatever other peoples views on the reliability of this product, all I know is that I am coming to the end of my current Philips spindle and have had no problems whatsoever. I sometimes wonder when people complain about problems with DVD'S etc whether it is their hardware or is it that they are recording at too fast a speed. My recommendation is to record at the slowest speed possible, is it such a heartache if a DVD burn takes 5 minutes longer?

I have been using Philips +R dvds for years and have never had one yet that has failed to record correctly. Moreover, the recorded data (mostly camcorder video) doesn't seem to corrupt with age - at least for the five years that I've been using the disks. Can always get them at a reasonable price compared with alternative makes, so why bother changing. I'm happy with this product.

i thought i gave up buying blank dvd's years ago but then my girlfriend decided she wanted to convert some home video's from tape to dvd so i purchased these. I have used about 20 of them so far and only had one disc fail to read (hence the 1 star loss) but the rest worked perfectly. Not sure what i'm going to use the rest for though, frisbees?

These are the only discs I’ve found that my recorder won’t spit out!! Tried numerous others and find that a lot of discs will not format (to be honest I think it’s my recorder rather than the discs themselves) but always go back to these. Never had any duff discs as I’ve had with other makes. On my 4th or 5th purchase.

Just the trick though the real judgement will be the number of DVDs successful against the duds. So far its encouraging.Good packaging, protected from scratches etc.Proper spindle to store them on. A bit more expensive compared to other brands but if these all work properly then its worth it... Time will tell.

Initially I was a bit concerned about ordering online because previously I had ordered from Amazona 125GB Sandisk Usb stick that turned out to be only 16GB disguised as a 125GB.However this DVD disc product was exactly as advertised so I shall buy more from this seller in the future.

I've been sticking with these DVDs for many years as they are consistently reliable, with no duff ones in all the time I've used them. The quality of the recordings is good, even at lower speeds like ESP, so you can fit more titles onto a disk without much loss of image resolution.

As always Philips DVD+R provide good reproduction for photos, video on camera and for some documentaries from TV - been using them over 20 years although for many DVD going out of fashion with younger generations they prefer to download to phones, kindle, computer or ipad etc..
