This mouse certainly has its pros: ergonomic and quite comfortable, fully controllable sensitivity both with four levels changeable on the mouse itself and in the control software. The LED s can be programmed with any RGB colour and there are 5 additional thumb buttons. For people who need that many options including 4 profile options for the mouse and easy enough to use software to configure everything, you won't be disappointed. For most people, this mouse may be too much. The weights that can be added/removed from the mouse don't make a massive difference and the first time to take the weight panel off was incredibly difficult and unused weights can be awkward to get out of the included container. There is no physical manual for set up in the box, only giving a link to a site to download the software and a pdf manual. Also, the mouse should not be plugged in until you are logged into your operating system (Windows etc) as, at least for me using windows 10 and plugging the mouse in before turning on my computer, the slightest touch of the mouse caused a text box to fill with an absurd number of characters and the mouse wouldn't work at all until I unplugged it and plugged it back in with Windows fully loaded. This could have been mentioned on the installation instructions, had I not needed to log on and use my mouse to actually access them. Also, for me at least, 5 programmable thumb buttons, easy to use as they may be, is somewhat excessive. Also, some games, especially older ones won't recognise 3 out the 5 buttons anyway.I am not saying that this is a bad mouse in the slightest but I would say it has lots of bells and whistles that don't really add much and therefore aren't really an advantage over other mice.

I have been genuinely surprised by the Trust Hyve gaming mouse. It is one of the most comfortable gaming mice I have used, and comes with an array of features usually reserved for more expensive models.Firstly, the unit is made of grey textured plastic. It doesn’t look incredibly premium but is nice and grippy which allows you to find the many function buttons far easier. All the function buttons are ergonomically located, and I haven’t found myself accidentally hitting any in-game. The cable is braided which should help to ensure longer-term durability. One of the nicest features is the thumb rest on the left side of the mouse. I have never owned a mouse with one, but my friends have and swear by them. Now I can see why. It is worthwhile noting that although it can be used by people who are left handed, to feel the benefit you will need to be right handed. I also appreciate the cut outs for pinky fingers. Perfectly ergonomic. The RGB lighting is okay but I have seen better implementations. It is a budget mouse after all, so expectations have to be somewhat managed. The LEDs struggle to pick up smaller colour changes, and the software is quite buggy. Whenever I try and change settings I just get a slew of error messages. Annoying, but functional. The DPI up/down adjustment works well and can also be configured in the app.The ability to change mouse weighting is nice to have and easy to perform. I have left the stock weights in place as per my preference.Overall I really like this Trust Hyve gaming mouse. It is comfortable, responsive, and comes with all the features I need in my day to day gaming. It has replaced my far more expensive mouse on my gaming computer!

Having been used to a MS gaming mouse for years, this too a little getting used to. I could rest my palm on the MS mouse and fingers on the buttons. With the trust mouse with my palm on the mouse my fingers slightly overhang which puts pressure on the sensitive RLB and LMB which causes inadvertent clicks. There are more buttons than you can shake a stick at. A good thing, but my muscle memory is used to my current button and keyboard combo. The 5 thumb buttons are ok, but not all are easily reached without contorting your thumb. The DPI setting is changeable on the fly which is a nice touch. The colour changing can also be done on the mouse via a base placed button. On a Mac and Linux the mouse functions as a basic mouse, but there is no full support as yet. So unless you are a Windows user, save your money. On Windows, the downloadable software allows you to set a colour scheme on the mouse and program the buttons. This of course will depend upon your application of which you can set up profiles for different games (or apps). The weights are a bit of a gimmick. I had them in my MS mouse, I couldn't tell the difference when weights were added or removed and I can't with this one, but it is a nice touch.Bottom line: a fast and responsive mouse with plenty of programmability. Looks and feels the business. If you get one I suggest a good quality mouse mat to make the most out of the smooth glide feet

I've been using specialist gaming mice for years, and decided to give this one a try.The shape is mostly excellent. It's a bit flatter than my wireless mouse, but is still nice to use.The buttons feel a little mushy, which isn't a surprise given the price. It would be nice to have mechanical switches, but these work okay.Once the mouse has been installed, you should get the Trust gaming software from the website. This allows you to change the buttons, create macros, change the dpi and colour settings. While it doesn't allow you to set up a per program profile, you can set up 5 individual profiles and swap between them with a simple button press. You can adjust the weight of the mouse via removable weights in a compartment underneath. It's pretty tight, but you won't need to do it too often. If your on a tight budget, then this is hard to beat. It doesn't compare to my main mouse, but that cost more than 4 times the price. If you've never used a gaming mouse, or you are uncertain if you really need one, then this is a great place to start. You probably won't go back to a normal mouse again.

This gaming mouse by trust has some gimmicky aspects – such as lights that can be adjusted, either cycling through colours through an under-mouse button or through the software for the mouse itself – but overall is a really nicely designed gaming mouse.Definitely for the right-handed user, the mouse is on the larger side with side groves on the right for finger rest and a tactile, felt feel surface. A four-stage dpi control below the mouse wheel, which is also set as a button. The thumb buttons are designed in such a way that the thumb rests within a pattern of five. This in itself is a little gimmicky, there perhaps are too many than is necessary for certain types of gaming but may be useful in more rpg/strategy games. The mouse is pre-weighted but comes with a weight case and the weights can be accessed through the underside of the mouse to change weight/balance. The cord is off a decent length and is braided. The mouse is plug and play but to get the most the Trust homepage has software for it that allows multiple profiles to be programmed.I’m rather impressed with this mouse.

If you are after a decent budget gaming mouse then this is certainly something to consider. It's got adjustable rear weights. It's got adjustable DPI. It's got onboard memory to store your customisations. It's got lights...I know everyone loves RGB lights these days but really (maybe it's my age). The DPI scaling is pretty good, the mouse is easily usable for normal computer work as well as for RTS/FPS type gaming. There are LOTS of buttons (5 of them by your thumb) the supplied trust software lets you configure these quite easily, but it does take some getting used to.Recently I've tried using the mouse on a laptop, without the Trust software installed and it's still pretty customisable. You can set the RGB colour natively on the mouse and you can set most of the buttons natively in game for whatever you want, you would however need the software to bind a macro to the mouse.Overall it's not a bad budget gaming mouse.

I like everything about this mouse. The tactile feel is great, grippy but not rough. It has a thumb niche. It has loads of customisation points, from the tiny speed adjustment buttons (with Led indicators) on top of it to the five programmable side buttons, you can program to do whatever you want. It's precise too, even on any old surface (not used it on a mouse mat, or a desk mat). The cable is a good length and good quality. The wheel has a nice feel to it and a push down button. The Logos light up nicely on it and gradually go to sleep after inactivity.By removing a turn-out cover at the bottom of the mouse you can remove weights from its gun-style weights magazine to get just the feel youwant - and store them safely in the provided logo-box in case you need them later.Nothing bad to say about it. Altogether, a well thought out product, well made and at this price point really good value as compared to others.

Comprehensive and affordable mouse.Does the same job as overpriced gaming mice, but at a sensible price.Extra buttons on the left side are welcome and unlike the Logitech version, these are arranged in a ‘table’ pattern as to aid memory as to which is which, the other brand is so confusing as to be unusable.Fits an adult hand comfortably. To sure if the industry habit of weights in any pattern really helps, the extra weight is enough. I like them a little heavier to avoid skittering across the screen when the wind blows through the room! The mouse has the usual colour pulsing options, most of which are distracting,a nice steady blue works just fine.Well made and from a brand that delivers good products without the jaw dropping price. This would make a great present for any teenager who is not brand blind, ie will wear trainers that don’t cost the same as the family car.

There's a mouse in the house, and it's a good one. I'm not a gamer but I do like the gaming mouses for general use because of their feel and their precision. This one is no different. It feels good in the hand, like an ergonomic mouse. The thumb just slips easily into the side of it. The mouse wheel has good grip and works well. It also lights up with a nice design of the company branding (Trust GXT) on the part of the mouse under the palm. This gives it an appealing look. The buttons click well although I haven't used the side buttons much.It isn't wireless but that is maybe a plus as you don't want to be in an intense gaming battle only for your battery to run out of power making youlose.All-in-all I am enjoying using this for general use.

We were really pleased with this mouse but have waited to get the verdict of my son who uses them much more than we do. This mouse is really well made and looks solid. It is larger than we expected or are used to but we did find it very comfortable to use. Loved the thumb rest the left as we have never had one before. There are programmable buttons which are are nicely arranged to make them easy to use. Doubt if we will change the weights much as we never have bothered much with them. Will mainly be used a s a gaming mouse and as such we are very happy with it.

This gaming mouse has heft and solidity. It is the most intimidating mouse controller I have met. It should be tested for steroids. It has an intimidating bulk and yet still fits snugly in your palm. The weight (which you can adjust) means that it isn't going to erroneously skid or over-reach whilst you are executing a precision gaming manoeuvre. It has a superfluity of buttons whose functions you can programme as per the game. It's even got a mean blue electric glow lighting up its logo and central wheel.Seriously, don't mess with this mouse.

4.2.2019

If you are into gaming enough that you want extra controls this is a nice option. Shed loads of buttons that can be customised and a nice ergonomic design (but that is common enough).Downsides are that it is really only suitable for right handed use, setting up the extra keys might be a bit of a faff and movement across the mouse mat is no better than many other mice. So really you are paying for the extra buttons and not any ergonomic advantage.

This mouse is perfect for gaming. All the programmable buttons and modes mean I can customise my mouse for the game im in, and 5 on the thumb is perfect for my most common tasks in each game, and triggering push to talk is effortless.Costomisable RGB makes it easy to know when im in the right game mode, adjustable weight means I can perfectly tune it to my needs. All in all, its as good as £60+mice, but without the name.

A comfortable gaming mouse with basic colour-chamging LEDs. A tad too small for my hand, but easily compensated for by gripping the mouse between thumb and little finger. Good DPI tracking and lag-free. I probably wouldn't pay this price for it, but a good alternative to the high-end mice

This is a fairly decent mouse for use mainly with the xbox or playstation, in other words for gaming. One isse I have is the size.To me it feels so bulky.Whilst it does have a lot of buttons, surely the feel is paramount.Sorry
