Description says it is Mac compliant. HOWEVER, it is not immediately compliant and I had to format it first which I did not have to do with my previous Toshiba hard drive. When I phoned Toshiba for guidance, they admitted this but couldn't help with that formatting! Not impressed with Toshiba service but m happy with the drive now that I have formatted it.

Had this for a year now, seems to be a good hard drive. Works with Windows out of the box. Usual lag if you are starting it up after a while but this is due to Windows 10 management of external hard drives.

An excellent, compact, quiet and quick storage device. Powered from USB connection so no need for mains power supply. So far, after a couple of back-up operations, highly delighted with my purchase

This is the largest capacity and most expensive portable hard drive I have purchased to date. So far I have found it to be very fast and dependable when transferring data.

up to now this is doing everything I need, it has backed thousands of photos and music, just plugged it in and transferred everything ?
