Bought this 2tb HDD for my Mac Mini Time Machine Back-up and also to partition for OSX Clone back-up.The ‘silver grey’ case design is an excellent match with the Apple case.Connected supplied cable to the drive and Mac USB 3.0 and it worked straight from the box (USB powered). I used Mac OSX Disk Utility to add partitions and have set up the supplied ‘Password’ protection App for the drive, as it does not appear to support ‘encryption’ (IE. when I tried selecting that option on Time Machine) - the reason I have dropped a star when rating this review.The drive comes with a cloth pouch and USB/Lightning adapter - I’m not using either, as the drive is nicely parked on top of my Mac Mini.Extremely quiet running,

I was a bit worried that my older iMac, running IOS 10.9.5, wouldn't be compatible with this. No need to worry, though - I plugged in the Toshiba and it worked straight away. It runs quietly, it's small and it's light, making it easy to transport. It came with a handy carrying pouch, too.

I like it a lot. Easy to use, as it didnt recquire for me to install anything. Moreover, used it as a time machine back up for my mac, which made my mac work so much faster. The design of the drive is very pretty, as it matched my mac perfectly.

I was running out of space on my macbook pro so purchased this. Very stylish and so far faultless. Totally recommended.

i once lost my motherboard so now i always back up properly and this is so easy to use with a MacBook.
