I was sent this item for testing and impartial review.Well made from good quality, sturdy plastic, this 50 litre dustbin opens in half by pushing a large release button on one side to allow access to fit and remove a bin liner. It came with no liner but, for test purposes, I used a Brabantia 45 litre bag which slotted over the inner liner holder easily to give a secure fit and ample storage space for waste when the bin was fully closed. I found difficulty in finding Tork liners on-line and the ones I did come across were expensive! The bin can either be used free standing or attached to a wall if more convenient, space-wise. Fittings (screws and dooks) are provided for wall fitting. There are two wheels on the base of the bin, but as neither come into contact with the floor on my bin, I'm uncertain as to their purpose. A soft closing lid is available as an optional extra and I would strongly recommend getting one from a hygienic standpoint. If you agree, I would advise you buy direct from Amazon to save a LOT of money. The bin will be easy to keep clean, is readily portable and stable, and it looks extremely smart. While it would prove useful about the home, I think it is designed primarily for more extensive use in large medical or commercial premises. I think it will prove practical and durable for any purchaser and have longevity.Up-date 11.7.17 - Had to wait almost a month for delivery after buying soft closing lid from Amazon at a saving of almost 20 pounds sterling (including delivery) on Marketplace offers. The lid was not easy to fit. Operation was completed by luck more than controlled effort. Lid greatly enhances appearance of bin and offers greater options for usage. Tork should offer combined purchase of bin and lid and supply trial sample of bin liners. They might also consider supplying smaller quantities of liners for domestic purchasers.

This is a bin for business spaces- washrooms in offices, waiting rooms, that kind of thing- places where the bins will be emptied frequently and the contents will mostly be hand towels and other items that aren’t too smelly or unhygienic to leave exposed in that area. For those purposes it’s well suited- professional-looking, smart, and easy to use. Screws are included for wall mounting and it’s easy to install.Opening it up and fitting a bag is a very simple, quick process. There isn’t a way of easily locking the bag on the inner rim, but if you’re using a tall enough bag, the overhang can get looped through a space in the rim frame- which is easily adequate enough grip to hold a bag full of 50 litres of paper towels. Some of the product description tries to rebrand it as a home-use bin,but it’s not really a great fit for domestic use. Though it’s described as “making the best use of the space available”, I don’t agree- it’s quite chunky and thick-sided, meaning that it takes up rather a lot of room compared to its 50 litre capacity. It could be used to take shredded paper or crumpled office stuff, but you could find a thinner-sided bin that could handle more without taking up any more space. Obviously without a lid you wouldn’t want to use it for anything kitchen-related, and it’s both overkill and arguably the wrong shape for using as something like a cardboard recycling box.So for business use, in an office or somewhere client-facing, this is a well-made and functional washroom bin. For domestic use though I’d look elsewhere.

This is a very well made product even though from a photo it may look like metal it is actually made of a heavy plastic. It is on the large side at 50 litres which I don't mind at all as we seem to fill our bins with monotonous regularity. To my mind it is intended as a waste bin not as a laundry basket as may be suggested in some quarters. You can fix it to the wall and the relevant screws are provided. Of course you will need to drill the wall if you want to do this so be sure exactly where you want it to go before you start. We have ours on the floor which is fine, but there is limited clearance between the opening door and the floor so on very uneven surfaces there might be some catching. The bin takes a certain type of bag which can be bought in lots of 100 for a little over a penny a bag. The surfaces are sturdy and will clean easily. The bin has a chunky, rounded form which will look well in most modern kitchens or bathrooms. My gripe with this bin is that for what is clearly a premium product, a lid should not be an optional extra. Similarly not one single bag is included, so that you are in for extra expense before you even fill the bin once! This creates a negative first impression for a product which is in itself highquality. In short if you are looking for a bin in this price bracket which can be free standing or wall mounted this is recommendable, but it should be offered complete.

With 50 litre capacity, this is a large bin, which is ideally suited for use in home bathrooms or in the workplace. The design is smart, with a neutral, white design and it is easy to clean. The bin comes with instructions, and screw fittings, so you can elevate this and attach it to the wall. We fitted this in our workplace staff toilets and it was very easy to install – however, if you leave it floor standing it is also perfectly functional. The bin itself has no lid, but it is easy to empty. There is a button on the side of the bin which releases the front, allowing you to swing the bin open. The bin bag sits inside on a metal ring, which can also be pulled forward to allow easy emptying of the bag and replacement.Once you have changed the bag (it fits normal sized bin liners) you just swing it close and make sure the bag is not caught in the side. It looks smart, functions well and, the fact you can install it on the wall means it is fixed in place and is easy to reach and empty. I personally prefer a lid on a bin if I use them at home, but for the workplace, where the bin is mainly being used for tissues, it is not an issue.

Firstly let me state that this is not a bin for home use. It's designed for commercial use and would be best in work toilets. The quality of this is really very good. It's an open top bin so you wouldn't be able to use anything organic in here and it's probably best suited to use for paper towels used for drying your hands. The bean has been designed so that the front opens up for easy removal of the bin bag inside. This function is best when attached to the wall using the screws provided. This is a really nice colour and the quality is very very high. This has also been described as a laundry bin but I would not recommend this because it's simply doesn't have enough capacity to take much laundry. Also it's an awkward shape for a home setting as it won't fit into a corner, and being oval means you have wasted space either side. As I've said before, to function effectively and enable you to open the front of this for easy removal of the inside bin bag it needs to be fixed to the wall which is not practical in most homes.Used for its intended purpose as a commercial item I would highly recommend this item and brand.

A solid plastic constructed 50 litre which feels well made and sturdy. The bin is aimed primarily at commercial use with its open top to allow efficient use coupled with its large capacity makes this ideal for use within wash rooms where you expect a large number of visitors users. The design is ideally suited for washroom facilities however could equally be used within a waiting area. The bin can be used floor standing or wall mounting to allow for more efficient use of floor space if needed. The bin is intended for use as a with plastic bin liners and to facilitate this its provided with a swing door on the front allowing easy emptying/replacing bin liners. The smart white plastic allows easy cleaning.A couple of things to note:1. Not supplied with a lid (optional extra)2. Primarily a waste bin not a laundry basket as others suggest, I would consider this a little on the small side for this purpose even with a small family.Overall well made, smart and functional please bear in mind the intended use before buying. With that in mind it a good purchase.

This is a really well made and good looking bin, but I would not consider it for home use even though it is suggested and even put forward as a wash bin. The bin is perfect for office or washroom use, it really looks well wall mounted which is easy to do with all the fixings provided and a spirit level to make sure it is mounted level. The opening of the bin is very easy with a push button that allows the front half of the bin to come open and the bag can easily be removed and replaced. I particularly like the fact that the bin will take most off the shelf waste bags and they are held firmly in place when the bin is closed. It’s a bit of a shock that you would have to buy the bin lid as an extraand that its £17 for what looks like just a piece of plastic. If it wasn’t for the extra cost and hassle of having to buy a lid I think this would be a five star review based on it being for commercial use.

I use this stylish streamline bin for recycling, as I have a small flat and it looks much better than the normal chunky grey bins you can buy. It does not have a lid which I like as there nothing to get dirty, but if you are using it for black bins this may be problem in summer, due to flies or slightly more smells. Best as a recycling bin I think. The white plastic exterior is thick, heavy, shiny and wipe clean. On the inside there is a kind of thick plastic ring at the top that keeps the top of the bin bag neatly tucked away. The ring is not flimsy but you do have to be careful with it as it is a moving part on a hinge. When you open the full bin using the button on the side, the front half swings open, and the rubbish kind of compacts itself down in the bag, leaving the top ready for tying. This is a very good bin, I can't fault it at all.

This Tork Open waste bin is a well designed 50L bin, primarily designed for washroom duties, paper hand towels etc.It is made from a heavy duty plastic, in my case, in a nice glossy white, which will be easy to clean. It is supplied with screws and rawl plugs for fixing to a wall, or, as the back of the bin is straight, will sit flush against the wall. One little extra that I didn't initially spot is the inclusion of a small spirit level to aid wall fixing. The bin is hinged at the side, with a discreet button catch to open up, to reveal the pivoting bag hanger ... all very well made and designed for an easy life. You can use any 50+L bag, and we will use the bin for waste/recycled paper. You can get an optional self-closing lid for £15 to complete the smooth sleek styling, which I have just ordered from Amazon.I like it.

Coming in durable white plastic, this Tork 50Lopen bin is fantastic and really easy to use. The bin is hinged and opens up to reveal a bag holder which is also hinged and swings towards and away from you. Emptying this is so easy, just pop the switch open it up and unclip the bag from the holder. Because it is an open bin - no lid- this is great for ear buds, shampoo cartons and general bathroom waste but is not suitable for the kitchen. Food waste would give off odour and I know for a fact that my cat would be right in there. There is an option to fix this to a wall or sturdy door - all of the screws and fixtures are attached. However we decided to leave it free standing and I am guessing it will look good either way.All in all this looks good,is easy to use and does the job

This Tork bin is obviously designed for home or commercial use, and is well-suited for use in a bathroom (although it is a bit large for this purpose, at 50 litres). We have it in our utility room, and it sits well in there next to the washer and dryer. Bags are placed inside or removed by opening the front of the bin; the literature recommends using Tork's own bin-liners, but standard ones seem to do okay. It's possible to be wall-mounted, but I'd say that the bin is a bit large for this, so we've put it on the floor. It's also an open bin, so comes without a lid; you can buy these separately (which we've now done), which I think will be a good addition. The bin looks smart, is well-made,is easy to clean, and looks as if it will be long-lasting. It's pretty good.

This bin is meant for a workplace. It's advertised as being white, but it's actually a cream colour. The back is flat, and it comes with all the fixings you need to attach it to a wall, including a little spirit level built into the thing itself. There's no lid. It has a bin liner holder inside, and it's hinged on one side, so you can open it up and change the liner. It's good for a place to dispose of used hand towels.Outside of a workplace the bin is still usable. It's robust, well-made and stands on its own just fine. It's also rounded and modern-looking. A bit clinical-looking, but it will suit many modern decors. You could use it as a laundry basket rather than a bin.

NICE=====This is a rather attractive looking bin. It's the type that you can use for paper towels in a surgery setting, or a wash-room, or at home for general bathroom wash. (although at home it's be a little big.)SIZE=====It has a capacity of 50 litres.MY USE=======I've used it in the kitchen as a recycle bin for paper.COMMERCIAL============This is a commercial waste bin for non odour waste,The white colour works perfectly for our kitchen, but this kind of plastic can be spray painted with any colour to match or stickers applied.WALL====It's possible to attach to the the wall and will stand on its own.A nice commercial waste bin.

Good looking plastic bin with 50 l capacity. Well made from durable materials, easy to mount on the wall, but can be used freestanding. Button on side opens front of bin for removal and replacement of bags. Good value imho. Not something I would use at home from a looks perspective, but ideal for a commercial environment. The lid has to be purchased separately, so it rather depends what you need this for. Personally I would prefer the lid to be included to prevent odours, but for public use, with regular bag changes, an open bin can be preferable.

Nice bin reasonably heavy and looks stylish. Quite large so more for a kitchen than a frontroom. It has a capacity of 50l.You can get reasonably cheap bin bags, 100 for £1.20 or so. I used 70l bags since a bag has to fold over the bag holder - so you 'lose' some of the bag.Opening it is easy: press the button on the side and the back opens, now oull out the grey bag holder. You can mount it on a wall. Screws plus a template are provided. You can buy a lid for it too.Seems like it'll last years and is easy to clean.
