I read some really awful reviews of this game but decided to ignore them and bought it anyway. I'm glad I did, as it's really good fun and not as impossible to get to grips with as some reviewers would have you believe.The training programme, which you can return to at your own pace & complete in each of the difficulty settings seemed really difficult at first, but after just a few hours I was free-skating and competing online not too-badly in the confident setting.There are plenty of different routes and loads of customisation options to choose from and the Xbox live element is great fun once you know what you're doing.Unfortunately, my board has had a problem where it loses responsiveness and won't recalibrate.

But i had to write one in response to the only other review up at this time as i think it is WAY off. This game is great. I have played it extensively in the past two days. The controller doesn't feel cheap, it feels solid and has a good enough weight to stop it flying off all the time. It is more difficult to control than a real skateboard though i would say and yes, it doesn't ride EXACTLY like a real deck but that is impossible being that it is flat on the ground. The game is tough. A real challenge to control the board but you can get there with practice. I think that is a plus being that all Tony games since Tony 2 for the Playstation have been pretty easy if you can get good combos.I have had no experiences with glitches yet,

I agree, this game deserves a lot more respect. I think a lot of people are somewhat missing the point, criticising the graphics, there are a few glitches, and criticising the story line, but Tony Hawk Ride is not about that. Tony Hawk Ride is about a fun experience and something a little different. Tony Hawk Ride is all about the board, the whole new unique control system, and it does give you a little exercise. The first day I played it my legs were killing me from the amount I was just turning the board and even just pushing the back for the Ollie's, and balancing. Tony Hawk Ride is like any game that requires a specialised game pad. It's like Guitar Hero, it would be a terrible game if it didn't come with the guitar,

As i used to be a skateboarder in my younger years, i found geting used to the contols very easy! if you wached other reveiws of people who take it from the box play it for 5 mins and say its rubbish,they havent given it a chance.its a game like Guitar Hero. everyone is a little rusty to start with but as you play more and lern the controls it becomes a very fun game to play,as other people have mentioned the sensors are messed up ect.i havent found this at all. if your playing next to a table or a chair it will pick them up they are strong sensors. i found this when i first played, after moving everything out of the way ive had non stop fun woth this game! exelent for thw whole family!!

It's a good game - the reliability of the skateboard is questionable.I had to return the first one which never really worked. You had to remove and reinsert the batteries every time you wanted to turn it on. Amazon were good as usual, replaced very quickly.The game has had some harsh reviews in my book, it is novel and good fun. Difficult to get the hang of though.

Sooooo cool. It's really cool. Love it. I have an issue with balance, so I can't actually skateboard. But I've always wanted to. So this is as close as I can Get. It's cool. Need to practice, as it's not the real thing. It can be hard but it's so cool.

Product arrived quickly and was easy to set up. Board has a solid feel and information is fed quickly to X-Box360 so slight movements are in time with screen action. My son loves it. Hours of fun!

The board itself is relatively sturdy and the game is pretty good. Worth it at its current price just for the sheer gimmick if I am honest.
