Instruction book has one sentence in English and that recommends a professional fit the lift. Instructions after that by means of sketches. No screws included or even recommended sizes. I finished up using 10 x 2 3/4". Need access to the loft space to locate the rafters rather than trying to find them by making probing holes into the ceiling plasterboard from below. Two light fittings and a loft hatch meant there was only one direction the lift could be fitted. This meant the main geared shaft part had to fit along one single rafter not across two or three(possible problems here). This in turn required extra timber to be screwed onto the rafter as the fittings were wider than the rafter.

The Thule Multilift 572 is really good for storing a roof box. It is good quality and value for money. Fitting requires planning and careful measuring. The template supplied makes this easier than it may have been. In my case, it required installing three wood battens across the roof joints for mounting. Once installed, it works well and was exactly what I was looking for.

Great bit of kit. Installation a bit of a faff due to having rafters and not a flat ceiling. I loosen the bars, back the car into the garage and winch of the box and bars as one. Takes approx 5 minutes from start to finish. Thoroughly recommend

Works well but I found it tricky to install because of my joist spacing. I needed to add extra support battens. Well made product
