I came at the product from probably a different angle then most of the people who will be buying it. I already have a high end VR flight simming rig with the HOTAS Warthog and FSSB upgrade so to me this is what you would call an entry level product if you’re talking about getting into flight simming. My reason for buying the TWCS throttle was to use with a secondary sim setup on my desktop computer so I could put a friend in my VR rig and then I could fly with them from my desktop computer. I hate to sound like a snob but it’s been a while since I’ve bought such an inexpensive Flight Sim peripheral and to be honest I was expecting it to be cheaply made, have no solidity or feel of quality about it and generally though it would get me by until I bought another Warthog throttle. But to be honest I’m really pleasantly surprised. Sure it doesn’t weigh seven tons like the Warthog does, but it’s feels solid, no squeaks, rattles or creaks as you’re using it. On a desk surface it’s so low profile and wide that it feels extremely stable and the grippy rubber feet on the bottom stop it from sliding around. The linier throttle action is smooth, precise and satisfying to use. The feel and shape of the throttle itself is nice, fits well in the hand. The rudder paddles on the front have a nice amount of spring centering Force, have no dicernable centre deadzone and are very precise. The mini stick on the front is far superior to the Warthog one as it comes out of the box. In fact in comparison it’s a joy to use (I’ve subsequently upgraded my Warthog one, but it’s a real weak point on that throttle). No the switchgear isn’t as solid as the Warthog stuff but it feels like as long as you weren’t ham fisted with it you wouldn’t break anything. I managed to get everything mapped to it for the DCS Hornet that I would need... my only gripe is that lack of a centre detent on the rotary that’s on the far left hand end of the grip but apart from that considering how much this costs I’m extremely impressed.Great low cost entry level piece of hardware for the flight sim fan. Especially suited to combat flight sims like DCS, Falcon BMS etc. I dare say it would also be good with Elite Dangerous.

Another fantastic product in the budget price range from thrustmaster. The buttons are mostly solid with exception of 3 rubber dome buttons that are a let down but acceptable. The analouge joystick proves to be a reliable input method particularly in space sims however I must complain about its placement. I would much rather prefer if the ministick was placed on the thumb a bit like CH pro throttle (which I own). Furthermore the dial has a lot of resistance which was uncomfortable to use with pinkie but hopefully it is moddable and already after use I see the resistance settling down. As for the precision of the axis; it is incredible, thrustmaster doesn't compromise when it comes to quality electronics and I believe the z axis has 15 bit resolution (that is 32768 data points). All the other axis are 10 bit which is more than enough. The T.A.R.G.E.T software is very sophisticated and although a little unintuitive at first it can be very powerful in the hands of someone willing to write their own code. One cool possibility is to use the ministick as a hat switch if the game doesn't support analouge values yet you need extra buttons.

Brilliant! So many configurable everythings I ran out of things to put on them in ARMAI absolutely LOVE the paddle on the front - feels great and no adjustments necessary."it's not a cyclic" ... "it shouldn't be flat" ... "it feels wrong and strange" shouted the reviews and customers ...You know what? It doesn't matter. Modern aircraft use straight tracked throttles as well. The software is a little over-the-top, as having the capability to script one button press to automatically fire the missiles, change targets, drop the bombs, switch back targets and thenshoot more missiles is a little silly and unnecessary. Also, it's a pus** move!

Got this alongside a thrustmaster t16000m joystick in order to play Elite Dangerous and so far I haven't had any real issues. Only thing I've found to be a bit annoying is that sliding the throttle can be a bit stiff, although that seems to be getting better with time. Also worth mentioning is that the throttle itself is surprisingly big and my hands aren't the biggest so there's a bit of maneuvering required to get to all the buttons and especially the paddles, but I don't consider it that big an issue. Just something to be mindful of.

I primarly bought this throttle for DCS World because i saw Ralfidude's rewiev and on the forums everybody seemd to like it and because untill this time i only had a joystick. I can tell you that this throttle makes your life much easier it, specially that little joystick at the front, you can reach every button very easy and if you place it on a desk your arm won't be hanging midair. The only thing that i didn't found any use is the rudder thing. I can only highly recommend this throttleSorry for my crappy "english"

Great features- rudder on the on front (that I use for UI focus selection), 3 different 8 way hats + an analogue for the index finger. The only downside is what other people have said- the thumb orange button is a bit of a stretch. Had it over a couple of month and no signs of breakage/wear, which is a long way better than anything I've got from saitek.Giving it 5 stars for the value, feature set and apparent build quality.

I honestly did not expect much from this throttle. However I've been really pleasantly impressed with it for both DCS and Xplane11. I've used it on both PC and MAC both without trouble. I haven't needed the Thrustmaster T.A.R.G.E.T. software at all but it's good to know you can extend the capability with that. I was looking to Pay a LOT more for a higher-end throttle, but I'm glad I went this direction for now.

A decent throttle for the price. The action is smooth once moving but takes a little pressure to get moving which can cause it to "jump" about a centimeter or so. I opened it up and replaced the grease that was on the rails with some dry teflon lube which has made it much much smoother. A shame they couldnt apply a decent grease in the first place so thats why iv given it 4 stars.

Used this product for a jet engine simulation project in c#. I used SharpDX drivers with a little configuration and it works just fine. It's a bit bigger than what I imagined but that's good. Its very smooth and works great. I only really needed the throttle stick. It's a shame there isn't a cheaper version with just the throttle and a few buttons

Read people complaining about the throttle sticking. If anything I think it moves too freely when screwed in, but I'm very heavy handed. I also have "bear paws" for hands and the large handle fits me lovely. Smaller hands may struggle to use the yaw paddle. Enjoying using it for elite dangerous.

Does all that's required - extra control buttons and throttle at a reasonable price. Have given 4 stars as the throttle did become a bit 'sticky' and wasn't so smoothe after a few weeks. As per recommended by others applied Nyogel 767A lubricant to 'rails' and all working smoothly now!

5.11.2019

Lots of extra buttons which i needed and the throttle is good albeit a little stiff, which will go with time. It's probably down to the way i use it (positioning), but the angle at which you place your hand can be a bit awkward for your wrist.

Slick throttle. Good range of control options. Best thing since the HOTAS X throttle. I can't use pedals so the rudder rocker paddle works just great for me.

17.11.2018

Really nice. Sliding forward and back is not as smooth as expected, I'll have to open up it up and lubricate with some silicone spray at some point

prior to this i used a thrust-master t flight HOTAS X and i have to say this blows it out of the water an absolutely fantastic product
