Get ready for a long review but I want it to be as detailed as possible to hopefully help anyone looking at purchasing this. I probably looked at every play kitchen ever made and this one is what I decided on. My criteria was:• Big enough for my 4 year old (boy)• NOT pink• Includes refrigerator•Lots of storageFinding a kitchen large enough for an older child knocked out 3/4 of the competition. This kitchen looked large and met every want on my list. The fact that it's wooden was an added bonus. I hesitated for a long time because of the cost but it was worth it! I have not seen a more realistic play kitchen on the market. It's solid and has tons of space for storage and cooking. My 3 kids (1)(4)(10)all play with it. They can spend hours playing kitchen/resturant. This beautiful thing does not come without some downfalls though, which is why I gave 4 stars not 5. The other reviews are not kidding when they say assembly is a pain in the butt. I assembled it alone over 2 days and it took me 11 hours. Granted I did have kids "helping". A huge chunk of time was spent looking for a certain # piece. They are not packaged in order and with over 100 pieces it's frustrating not being able to find the one you need easily. Making that even harder, some of the pieces were missing # stickers on them so I had to put it to the side and try to figure it out later. The directions have no text just back and white pictures. It does skip some steps so you'll have to use your imagination a little. And last but not least I too had a missing piece and several damaged ones. Amazon offered a partial refund and I was able to get replacements from Step 2 very easily. I just put this together so I cannot say how well it will hold up overtime but I'm fairly confident it wont disappoint. I'm including close up pictures too; whether it be confusing or missing instructions looking at how it was suppose to look helped out tremendously.

I bought this for my son's 1st birthday. He's always up in our kitchen, so lets give him his own! This thing is solid as a rock. The finish is surprisingly good. I dropped a few pieces and there was barely a scratch. I'm really impressed. Now for the bad part: I consider myself a professional IKEA assembler. I can do this stuff with my eyes closed. But I stumbled upon a few "gotchas" along the way while following the instructions.1.) The first few pages appear to be simply inventory pages, but look closer. A handful of pieces on that "inventory" sheet are actually instructions to tell you to attach door latches or hinges to pieces before the real assembly starts. I missed that, and got confused at some point where, during the main assembly steps, suddenly there was an unexplained door hinge on a piece I was attaching to the frame.2.) Pegs are also only mentioned in the "inventory" pages. But don't bother trying to install them ahead of time, like the instructions suggest. They are too loose and are just going to fall out as you move pieces around. Just keep an eye out for holes that aren't for screws. Add the pegs as you assemble it. Screw holes are a little smaller than peg holes, and screw holes have little plastic heads below them.3.) The order in which it has you assemble certain parts is....kind of dumb. There are a handful of back pieces (like the microwave/stovetop and the lower cabinets) that the instructions tell you to install AFTER you assemble the sides, but cannot "slide" in from the top like you'd think. You have to try to bend these pieces and jam them in. They are not very flexible and something is bound to break or at least tear the veneer off. You're better off trying to install the back piece sbefore you add one of the side panels on. I can't think of a situation where installing the back piece early causes an issue further down the line.

We didnt find this very hard to put together like others have said. It was fairly easy and the instructions were pretty strait forward to me. I started by lining up all the parts by number in order. There were about 5 parts with no numbers but they were fairly easy to find by looking at the pictures. The first page has you prep the paices with little wooden dowels and some of the hardware. This part is easier with 2 people so one can fetch the part and the other can prep the part and then put it back in its numbered spot. Then I has the screws and instructions and my husband fetched the parts I needed and I put the parts together while he fetch the next peices.Like everyone we would be interrupted by kids so one of us would be left to work alone and that slowed down the process alot. It didn't take long to put together for its size. Maybe a few hours. The kids love it. They play drive through, kitchen and resteraunt. The open area is perfect as an ordering counter so we put a cash register there and it's a store or resteraunt. This works well since we have 3 kids under 5. They all have a place to play and a job like cook. Cashier, waiter and customer. The material is light weight which is good for a kitchen this size. Any heavier and it would be too heavy to scoot around if you needed. I see alot of people say its cheaply made but for me I like how light it is so if the kids want it facing a diffent way I can scoot it. I included a short video of play and all the parts lined up.

First of all I love this kitchen and so do my grandkids. It is very sturdy, thick durable wood, and very nice latches so that when you close the doors it latches tightly shut. There is tons of cubbies and cupboards and so much storage for all of the pretend food, appliances and whatever else kids want to add to it. It comes with some cooking utensils and pans and the stove requires batteries and the burners light up.The “not so positive” .... this took a full 8 hours to assemble and it was done by my husband who is a Union Journeyman Carpenter. The instructions that came with it were terrible and not clear at all.We set out every piece and put them in number order before we even started. It took both of us working non stop to get this done. There are about 200 pieces... all but 5 of them were numbered, but we were able to figure out where they went. Also, there are dozens of small wooden dowels that go into holes for stronger support and we used wood glue to put those in.I suggest very strongly to choose a large spot for assembly, put everything in number order and have wood glue, screw gun, or screwdrivers handy... and most of all... a lot of patience!!!Also**** this kitchen is perfect size for big/tall kids! Ages 7/8 still great!

This was a fantastic kitchen once assembled. There are no instructions in the box so I had to go to the website and print them, but they were easy to find. A piece of advice for assembly: I unboxed each piece laying them in individual piles according to the number (1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39.....100-105 see picture). Pieces 106-122 are all the plastic pieces. After getting all the pieces in the 11 piles I went thru each individual pile to make sure all the pieces were there. There were a couple of pieces with missing numbers and one piece was misnumbered so this helped tremendously. All this took 1-2 hrs but made the assembly so much easier. Another tip, the assembly instructions start on page 5.At first I thought this was just an inventory page, but it actually shows all the pieces that must have dowels, hinges and door closures. Having all the pieces in piles by numbers also made this step so much easier. Don’t skip this step. In total it probably took me 8-10 hours over a 4 day period. I think it helped to not try and do it all at once and just work on it a couple of hours at a time. I did have help on some pieces which was helpful.

I LOVE this kitchen. Just finished putting it together about an hour ago and man my back is killing me. HahaTook approximately 4 hours to put together. Husband helped at first to prep the pieces and then I finished the rest alone while he was at work. Wasn't incredibly difficult to put together just tedious. My only complaints are the instructions and how many of them seem out of order and a little confusing. Second would be that the M and N parts for the cabinet next to the sink were the opposite of what I needed. They were backwards for some reason so I left the door off which is no big deal! There was also one door with a superficial crack on the front, but that's totally understandable because UPS and FedEx are monsters so I expect something to be damaged every time they bring me something. The blue sections of the kitchen scratch easily too but it's also nbd!I'll probably edit my review to include how the kitchen's held up in a couple of months! My toddler is definitely hard on his toys so I'm hoping it'll survive for a few years!

The person who assembled this for me said it was a hassle and he is experienced in building. The hardest part for him was that the number labels on the kitchen had either fallen off the piece they belonged to or were mixed up. Aside from that the kitchen is super cute. Great size ! There was a piece that was broken but we made it work for now until I get ahold of step 2 or amazon for a replacement. There is one piece that is preglued it’s a drawer piece, and that thing fell apart within an hour of play and I was watching my son when it happened didn’t yank hard or anything. When I checked it it looked like the product has been stuck together with cheap glue and tiny screws.I can simply just glue it back with better glue but considering the price of this thing you’d think that wouldn’t happen. It’s a great kitchen nonetheless especially for people who have more then one kid. (Also I changed the color of it it’s not sold like this it’s actually dark blue)

I seriously LOVE this kitchen!!! Both my kids play with it every day, we got it for Christmas and I renovated it because I wasn’t a fan of the colors... but the bones of the kitchen are so good! Worth every minute putting it together. Speaking of- it wasn’t “difficult” to assemble, but it did take a bit of time. I put it together in 2 nights just using the hours after my kids went to bed as it was a surprise. Selling points for me were all the counter space, and the drawer, which is perfect for utensils. I also added motion lights in the microwave, in the “stove Exhaust” (to light the counter when “cooking”) and in the oven- the oven light I painted red to look hot.The only thing I wish was different is the refrigerator, I feel like the scale is off from the rest of the kitchen, and would be nice to have an ice maker but overall I’m so pleased with it! My son is (a small) 5.5yo and daughter is 20 months here for size reference.

This item is absolutely amazing! The only downfall is that it is over 100 pieces and it took me and my husband a little over three hours to put everything together. The only thing that I would like to see added to this item is more real life affects for all of the trouble you go through putting it together. I was expecting more for the price that we paid for it. I do feel like The price on this item should be lower than what it is. It is a nice looking kitchen but it does take a lot to put it together and there are not enough real life affects to it.The stove does lights up which my children absolutely love! The height on this kitchen is great to my three year old, six-year-old, five-year-old,and nine-year-old can all play with us and fit in it well. They spent hours on this kitchen and it keeps them busy other than the assembly, it’s pretty nice.

It is very sturdy and just as pictured. It is great quality and my daughter loves it. It was only missing one part and step 2 sent it out with no problem. It was a part of the fridge, so when we gave it to her for her birthday it didn’t have the fridge, but of course she didn’t even notice. It took two people 4-5 hours to assemble. it was a bit tricky, but not as horrible as it seemed to be for some. My husband and father-in-law are good at that kind of thing though and they laid everything out. the reason they missed the missing part at first was because we had two 94s instead of a 94 and a 95 so technically we had an extra part of something else. There is a picture of how it looked when she got it for her birthday and today when we finally got home from vacation to add the fridge.

Super cute, especially since I changed some things. It took a good 9 hours putting it together. We put the dowels and screws in before putting together, can’t say that helped much. Certainly sort by numbers before you put it together because it has a ton of pieces. Two were damaged so we used wood glue to repair and waited 24 hours before proceeding. It’s sturdy, my toddler climbs all over it.I hated the white and light blue so changed that and added fake backsplash tiles.Wood contact paper for the countertops (do this before you assemble it), it looks more realistic and helps waterproof it. Also spray painted the light blue after sanding them a bit. We’ve owned numerous kitchens over the yearsand this is a fave by far.

I was really up in the air about buying this because some of the reviews had me worried. Missing pieces, pieces not labeled, instructions aren't detailed enough.I will say, the instructions have no words, just pictures but if you really look at the images and at the pieces you can tell exactly how everything goes! I put this whole thing together by myself (I'm a 27 year old sahm). It took me roughly 8 hours to put together with many, MANY interruptions!!! It's very sturdy! Perfect size for my 3 year old! She absolutely loves it! It is definitely worth every penny!!!! I would absolutely recommend this kitchen for anyone with a child or children 2 years and older! Even my 6 year old loves it!

UPDATE:Received the new kitchen. The new one was perfect, everything fit together nicely. Good height size and great material. My daughter loves it! I am highly satisfied with the new kitchen. It took a LONG time to arrive. When it arrived I was excited to put it together only to find out that there was pieces missing and the ones that came we’re not the right size. For now I’m rating it a one star, I have requested a new one since I already paid for it anyway. At least instructions came with it. Hopefully the replacement comes in a lot faster than the original. -I’m really unsatisfied with this purchase so far.

Overall excellent play kitchen. Very solid once assembled and should survive several years of heavy play. Assembly took 12 hours due to the number of pieces. At least 50% of the assembly time was spent searching for the next piece(s) needed. All pieces are supposed to be labeled with numbered stickers for reference but approximately 10% of the stickers had fallen off their respective part. So a bit of sleuth work may be required. Assembly instructions resemble those that would be found with IKEA furniture. Only tools required are a screw driver plus what is included in the box.

It looks great! The girls love it and all it offers. It's very sturdy and a good size for 2 kids to play in.Yes it is a pain in the butt to put together. However before putting it together I took the advice from someone who already left a review about organizing all items. I chose each pile to be 1-10, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39 and so on. Took a few minutes but I am so glad I did. It took me 7hrs to finish. ( 3 of those hours I had the kids bothering me so it may have taken me less time.)
