I bought this for my grandson to follow in his father's, uncle's and grandfather's footsteps. Reviews elsewhere suggested it to be a decent, playable guitar and good value for money. It's rather better than that. It arrived in perfect condition, despite evident attempts by DPD to trample the outer box to papier maché (note to seller - maybe an outer box to make sure it's a bit more protected?).The standard of finish is excellent and worthy of a far more expensive instrument. Machine heads operate smoothly and are Stagg branded. This may be a cheap make, but Stagg present themselves like premium builders, so this wouldn't look out of place on stage. As regards replacing the strings, noted as a necessity by another buyer, I've yet to buy any guitar, including ones costing ten times this price, where I've not felt that need. These are entirely playable and came up to tune without problem. On any new guitar that's come in from the cold and is way below pitch, you just need to give the strings time to de-stress.The tuner is basic but works perfectly adequately. Likewise, the Fishman Isys-T pickup/pre-amp isn't world class, but for crying out loud, this whole thing costs under 80 quid! I'm amazed it has ANY electrics, let alone a decent little active system that even includes a phase switch. What really stands out though is the guitar's playability. The action is commendably low but buzz-free, making this an exceptionally easy guitar to play - perfect for a beginner, and fun for those of us with delusions of adequacy. So, to summarise, this is a quality instrument that plays and looks like something twice the price. It's an ideal beginner's tool that will still be getting played after you've bought your first Godin.

Cannot fault the guitar. It feels far more expensive than its price suggests with a superb tone and weight. Using the supplied strings at the moment but will likely restring with a set of Martins later in the week. Once again, cannot fault it. Plays well, looks great and sounds superb.
