This Stabilo Trio 2-in-1 wallet contains 10 coloured markers featuring two ends; one fine tip ideal for writing and the other a standard felt tip for colouring in larger areas quickly but with reasonable control over density and edges. The ink colours are reasonably true to matching their pens.I was surprised by how excellent the fine tips were for smoothly flowing writing. The ink did not bleed through to the other side of my usual notebooks or inexpensive note pad paper or copier paper, which makes these pens ideal for my writing, sketching and annotating. Thank you Vine for this offering. The felt tip end is slightly abrasive like most standard felt tip pens I have used,i.e inexpensive paper such as copier paper or note paper will pill slightly when colouring in and the ink can bleed through to the other side. The colour does not bleed onto the page behind, but I don’t expect to use the felt tips as much as the fine tips.Although they are stated as washable, I take this to mean they can be washed off the skin. The writing generally resists smudging with the heel of ones (dry) hand (unless of course sweaty in the hot weather), and I noticed the black marker did not come off immediately after washing hands, but can be removed with a little more of effort. I have not risked testing whether it can be removed from clothing, but I will report back when the inevitable happens. The caps stack easily and are therefore less likely to be lost, and hopefully will help prevent the pens from drying out too quickly. Some of the caps were very firmly attached, and may be difficult for children to remove the first time. Once the caps were replaced they were easier to remove the next time. The package is re-sealable to help keep them tidy, which is useful.I would have preferred a slightly different selection of colours, but this assortment is a good starting point.

One end of these pens is like a finewriter pen - so it's actually a writing pen. I wouldn't call it a fineliner personally because that makes me think of those pens with the protruding fibre tip. This is more of a traditional "handwriting" pen style. The other end is a high quality felt pen tip - with a good point and it's also wide, so it won't blunt or bend easily as cheaper felt pens can under excess pressure. The overall quality of the set is good. The flow of ink is also good. The general design and ergonomics are above standard with no special shaping or grip on the handwriting pen end; contrastingly on the felt pen end there's a smooth shift into a triangular profile which seems like itought to be on the other end.The pen lids stack meaning you can still put a lid on the back of the pen while you're using it.One notable design feature is that Stabilo appear to have taken a lot of design elements/tips from their highlighter pens in making the felt pen tips for these pens, such that they feel as if writing with a firm tip of a highlighter pen, although shape-wise they are not chiseled.Overall they are good quality pens and I've found them more useful than I expected as I do tend to need to write with colours and shade in areas, and switching the pen around rather than having to hunt for a wider pen of the same colour saves you time.I've got to be honest - I'd say these are well suited for an adult or older child (8+?) rather than a young child. It feels like they would be wasted on kids (harsh I know) because they're so well made, it would be a real shame to leave a lid off!

What a clever idea to have standard felt tip pens on one end and fine-liners on the other end in the same colour.Double-ended pens are no new thing - we have had double coloured felt tips - which are great space savers before but I haven't seen any like these before and we love them!We have found them particularly useful on a number of occasions in the last week already and there are some useful features that make them a bit different from other pens:1. When colouring in - where you have pictures where you want to use the same colour in a number of places in a picture and some blocks you need a thicker pen for coverage, but others require a more delicate touch, this allows you to retain the same colour, but change tips - rather like you might change your paintbrush size when painting.2. As a busy working Mum, when I am trying to multi-task and need to write a shopping list when the only pens around are your children's colouring pens, I would usually just use the felt tip - but they aren't all that easy sometimes to write with - these are of course a dream as you can use the fineliner end and it is just a colourful writing pen!3. I love the stackable lids. Too often with double ended pens, you put one lid on the end, but the other won't stack and then you lose it - no problems here!4. They are washable - tried and tested - and they need to be for the child who might not always use the stackable lids as they have been designed and might not always replace the lids - accidents will happen, but they will also wash out!

These are a good idea - I hadn’t seen this concept before. One end of each pen is a reasonably narrow felt-tip and the other is a fine liner in the same colour, with a cap on each end. The colours are red, yellow, green (one light, one medium), blue (one light, one medium), peach, brown, mauve and black. Rather odd that orange is not included, but still an attractive range. Both ends apply well. I assume the advantage when drawing is that you can draw an outline with the fine tip then fill in with the broader one.The cardboard holder will help you to keep the set together when not in use. We’re unlikely to use them much ourselves, so keeping them in reserve for the grand-daughters when they come to stay.Apart from being attracted by the novelty of the design, they will find these pens very useful, as the old ones they’ve been using are wearing out fast.Good value for the set of ten.

These are double tipped pens from Stabilo - which have a felt tip and one end and a fine tipped pen at the other. Like other Stabilo pens, they come in a cardboard wallet. The back slips inside, to hold the wallet closes, even once you have removed the sticker which seals it, so it is a fairly effective package.Everything about these - from the cheerful packaging to the bright colours - is appealing and well designed. The nibs will not be broken if your children press down too hard while writing, or colouring. The fine liner pens allow children to write, or to do very find drawings. The felt tips ideal for colouring. Meanwhile, usefully, you can put the lid from one end and stack it on top of the lid on the other end,so your child will not lose them - this is a very useful feature indeed. Perfect for my ten year old daughter, who loves writing, drawing and colouring.

This set of pens is fabulous because it comes with a two in one function - I previously had a set of pens that do the exact same thing from the same brand, and after a year and half they're only just wearing out, so this came at the right time. You get a set of ten pens that come in assorted colours including a pinky purple and a flesh-coloured pen. I thought the latter would be too light for writing, but I'm wrong. One end has a thick nib, perfect for colouring in, and the other end is nice and thin and suitable for writing. The lids seem a bit flimsy and there's the worry they'll dry out easy, but that's my main criticism. However the ink flow is really lovely and the pen stroke feels really soft and silky.I love it. At least it's not too scratchy! All in all I quite like this product and look forward to using it when I'm writing my visual diary.

It is a flexible set of felt pens. I like the fact that you have the fine point on one end and fingertip on the other. From a colouring point of view, they give a nice broad or thin stroke according to the end you use. From a safety point of view, both lids have a little ventilation holes around the top should they be inadvertently swallowed by small children and lodge the windpipe – heaven forbid. (Do check young children's felt pens because they don't all have this. I don't know if this is a legal requirement in the UK, but I've noticed some imports don't comply.) These are labelled as not being suitable for a child under three. The ink is described as washable. That's a relief.:-)This is a nice pack with child or an adult. You have a good selection of colours including black and brown and flesh tone.

If you enjoy adult colouring books these are very useful having the two tip sizes to choose from, not just for kids. When I gave these to my nieces to draw with the 4 year old loved them and said they were better than the ones she uses in nursery school, the younger girl was able to hold them comfortably and get to work immediately.Because they contain washable inks you don`t need to worry about clothing being marked, just be careful with the three piece and curtains!Stabilo are the brand I prefer for my own use as the tips are durable and the colour lasts ages. This set would be great for taking on a trip or for school use, working out at around a pound per pen is good value.I have left one star off because the tops don`t click shut, fine though if you check they are on properly after use.

This pack of 10 pens is suitable for both children and adults. The fine liner is great for writing, or the most complex of colouring in designs, and the felt tip good for larger blocks of colour. I've been using them for my bullet journalling, and the writing quality of the fine liner is good, with little bleed through, and the felt tip helps me add colour and designer doodles to liven what is basically a to-do list! The colours are basic - black, brown, two blues, two greens, yellow, red, deep pink and an unusual flesh/peach colour but sufficient for my needs. The pens come in a cardboard wallet, which won't stand up to repeated use, which may be an issue if being used/abused by children!

Double-ended pens of the same colour but different point sizes is an excellent idea. These pens are perfect for colouring in Mandalas with more accuracy. I can use the normal end for the colouring in, but still have the same colour ink when it comes to parts where the pattern gets much smaller. They are quality pens from a trusted brand so I expect they will be long-lasting. The colours are rich and cover the paper well. There is a small bleed through from the larger nib on thinner paper, but not like using Sharpies. My only disappointment is the smaller range of colours; the basic rainbow of colours are there, but a few more shades would have been better for serious adult colouring in.

Another fabulous product by Stabilo, one of my favourite stationary brands. I always know that when I purchase a Stabilo product, although it may be slightly more expensive, I am guaranteed a high quality and long lasting pen. These are no exception. They are bright, ink rich felt tip pens which are great for colouring large areas or for drawing with children. As far as I am aware the colour selection in this range is not as wide as that of the point 68 and point 88 pens also made by Stabilo but these are the ideal pen for school age children to develop their fine motor skills and drawing skills.

Nice pen set on a number of counts.....first...they come in a cardboard package rather than the usual plastic case. Not as rugged I guess as the plastic, but it does the job, and then pens always end up in my sons pencil case anyway!Second...a nice range of useful colours, reds yellow blues and greens, plus brown black and purple.Third...great having the two in one tips.......so less pens lying around, and saves time from drawing with the fine line to colouringin with the paint end.Nice pens to use, and chunky enough for little hands to grip properly.Good general purpose pens!!!

I often use fibre tip pens for roughing out concept garden designs - they are very good for these quick drawings. It is handy to have a double-ended set with fine liner to provide texture, and it is easier to write notes too. The colours included are black, brown, two shades of green and blue, yellow, pink, red and a sort of peach colour. They suit my purposes well so that I am just about to order a larger set with a greater colour range. They say that the ink is washable - I am sure at some point I will find out but so far I haven't had to test the claim.

Best of both worlds here with fine liner (0.5mm nib) at one end and felt tip (2.0mm nib) at the other. If you're going from fine to felt in the same colour (outline to block maybe?) then you can stack the caps on top of each other to prevent losing them as easily. There's a lengthy part in the middle so you can hold the pens as normal regardless of which end you're using and the area at the end of each pen is ergonomically designed to ensure correct pen grip. A nice variety of 10 colours but would welcome an orange colour in there.

I would have loved this product as a child and if my son was into art, rather than excited by kicking a ball about, he'd appreciate them too. The double-ended nature of these pack of ten felt tipped pens would allow children to colour in a series of drawings with consummate ease. Whether they actually wash out of clothing is another huge issue though. The price is rather more than I'd expect to pay, especially if one has a kid who habitually leaves the caps off of the ends, thus drying up the ink.Otherwise - great.
