I nearly didn't buy these because they seemed very expensive; however I decided to take the plunge and am incredibly glad I did. I'd been trying to find good quality, long-lasting fibre-tip pens for card-making for a long time, and was extremely tired of paying out for packs of pens, only to find that when I needed them, unopened and unused as they were, they'd dried out completely anyway! Even packs of felt-tips sold by craft shops. How very very different it is with Staedtler triplus, especially now that they've come down drastically in price. The pens have sat in a drawer unused for around 6-9 months, but are as fresh as if I'd bought them yesterday. They are triangular in shape, which means they are arthritis-friendly (for me at least); and they have a beautiful tip which, with a tiny change of pressure, can draw either a fine line or a broader one for colouring-in. They haven't dried out 5 minutes after opening, although they are very quick to dry on the paper, which means that there is no bleeding between adjacent blocks of colour - even black onto light colours. Fantastic for less-than-steady hands.I love the flip-top lid that doubles as a stand, making it easy to remove and replace pens. It's a practical touch that makes a big difference. The hard plastic cover isn't going to disintegrate after 5 minutes of use. Some of the differences in colour are quite subtle - there is less difference in shades than perhaps is suggested by the exterior sof the pens. However once they dry, these colour differences become more obvious - I would love to see a larger set of these offering a wider range of shades.I'm now going to get my son a set of these for his own use, as I can see them disappearing from my desk drawer all too soon!

These are Staedtler Triplus Colour ink pens. I had used a the triplus fineliner version of these before (which have a finer tip for minor details) & they’re quite high quality ink pens. I’ve had them for almost a year now & they’re just as good as when I first bought them. They don’t dry up easily & although I haven’t left them open (God forbid!) for a long time to see if they dry up, I can’t comment on that part, I can say they give a lot of ink & are very durable.STAEDTLER pens are amongst a few at the top of the market range for ink pens. I have tried this brand & STABILO & found them both very good. Nice colors & range. Although I find STABILO is slightly better ,both on quality of ink & trueness of colour & vibrancy. I find with STAEDTLER sometimes (a few) collars don’t match the colour on the outside pen (see example photo below). But mostly they’re fine. The pens glide on effortlessly & beautifully & don’t need going over & over. Also I’ve tried other cheaper versions (non-brand) & they’re quite poor (ink dries up quick & not much colour).

My daughter was given a set of these for her 3rd birthday. After six months of daily use, several pens have run out of ink and now need to be replaced. Considering she was previously getting through a packet of cheaper pens every couple of weeks or more, I think that's pretty good value for money. (She has been very careful about putting the lids back on after use. I don't know how long they would last otherwise). There may be better pens available for someone who likes colouring in rather than drawing, but these have quite fine tips that are ideal for the kind of detailed drawings she likes to do, and the range of colours is good. The flat sides that stop them rolling onto the floor are a nice feature. My only gripe (hence the four stars)is that the plastic case - which is designed to be propped up as a pen holder during use - was quite flimsy and kept popping apart so all the pens would fall out. It wasn't really a problem for us as she chooses to keep them in a pencil case anyway, but just something to be aware of.

These Staedtler Triplus Colour 323 SB20 Fibre Tip Pens In Desktop Box are great value for money, the 20 pens that are supplied with the set include most of the colour spectrum and all the pens produce a quality high definition output. There are no wishy washy watery colours here all the pens produce a quality depth of colour tone. The pen set comes supplied with a box that folds over when you open it and serves as a desktop dispenser and keeps everything in order as you use them and place them back in the case, not like the usual run of the mill pen sets that often have a soft plastic case and before you know where you are you cannot find certain colours and there are pens all over the placeand falling down the back of the unit or sofas. These pens go on and on they just don't seem to be running out, for the cost of less than 70p a pen you cannot go wrong as they represent excellent value for money, highly recommended for anyone looking for very good quality felt tip colouring pen set that just goes on and on.

Absolutely fantastic set of pens. These fibre tip pens I have been using for my colouring in group. They are simply brilliant! They work on most paper. What I didn’t find them so good on was water colour paper. I was rubber stamping and used thenpens to colour in the image. All in all these are a premium set of pens worthy of anyone’s craftroom.triplus colour by StaedtlerA rainbow of colours for block colouring. What makes triplus an ideal colouring companion? The Staedtler triplus colour fibre tipped pen has an ergonomic triangular shape for relaxed and easy writing, drawing and colouring, without the fatigue feeling. The pen is dry safe which means it can be left uncapped for days without drying up,allowing you to switch between colours with ease without the need of replacing the cap.The water-based ink washes out of many textiles in case of any mishaps. It has a sturdy, pressure resistant tip which can take withstand continuous colouring on paper and a line width of approximately 1.0mm.

I really love these pens they are so nice to work with. You get a nice selection of colours and they are lovely and vibrant and go on really smoothly . I like to use these pens in the Johanna Basford colouring books (secret garden and enchanted forest) for when I am colouring in larger areas as I also have the Staedtler 20 pack of fineliners which work well with these as they do the smaller areas and these the larger areas and the colours are the same in both the fibre tips pack and the fineliner packs and neither of them bleed through the pages but the paper quality in these books is good so i can't say for sure if it would with thinner/cheaper paper. I really love the case that these come in,you just fold the lid back on itself and it produces a stand so choosing your colours whilst working is a lot easier plus your pens are nicely protected in the sturdy plastic case.I would definately recommend these pens to anyone they are certainly a very nice addition to my art set.

Great set of pens whatever the price. I payed £4 which at the time seemed like a ridiculously low price. This was confirmed when the item arrived.PositivesPens are triangular instead of the usual cylindrical pens making them easy to hold.Pens come in a tidy case that stands up at an angle when opened which is a nice touch to make it easier to access the pens and return them to their correct slotPens won't dry out. Although I haven't tested that theory, the pens claim that they can be left without their lids on for days and will not dry out. This makes them ideal for youngsters for their dot to dots or colouring in.NegativesUsing these pens on normal, decent quality and thickness paper,my sketches for my revision notes are visible from the other side of the page. This wouldn't normally be an issue but as a student and a cheapskate I use both sides of the paper for my notes.Top quality set of pens, Would definitely pay upwards of £20 for this item.

My 5 year old is an avid and obsessively precise (-she corrects my colouring and I thought I was obsessive ) colourer and these pens have done her proud for about 6 months. Only now are some running out and she colours large areas with them daily. I think the slim shape makes it easier to see where the nib is than the berol ones ( berol have the advantage of a fat and thin option for each colour though) or the Crayola super tips ( tips a bit fat, taper too shallow). The triangular barrels stop these rolling off the table . We have particularly enjoyed the fluo colours. My only gripe is the lack of a peachy kind of flesh tone. Don't get me wrong, I love our Afro carribean Elsa and Annas (And the lurid day glow pink skinned princesses)but occasionally she would like to add a paler princess to the mix. I think the bigger, superfine, Johanna basford set might have such a colour but I'm scared at how meticulous my daughter might become with superfine pens!

I'm a bit of a stationery geek and can be really fussy about writing materials... but these pens are fantastic!!!Good range of colours, and the colours come out vibrant and strong on paper. They are easy hold and tips go smoothly on paper. The fibre-tips are of excellent quality and look good even after being heavily used for a couple of months by art-loving pre-teens!I first got this set as part of a Christmas present for my daughters about 3 years ago. They absolutely loved it and asked for the same the following Christmas! And after that, another for their birthday!!!These pens definitely encouraged them to draw/ colour more, and helped them through lots of art projects. If you're looking for a set of colourful water-based fibre-tip pens, then this is probably one of the best.Actually, for me, it is THE BEST so far. Can't believe this costs less than 12 pounds - a bargain!

These pens are just great.I bought a pack of 10 about 5 years ago for my A Levels, and they've been so useful - I still use them now I'm in my University.I bought these as the light blue and the red from my original pack were starting to run out, and I fancied some more colours (finally have a purple one - yay!).If you're umming and ahhing between the 10 pack and the 20 pack, it just depends on how much room your have in your bag! The 10 fits nicely in a decent sized pencil case, but the 20 has so many more colours that I forgive it for not fitting in my pencil case! These pens last so long - I've taken out the new 8 colours that I still have working duplicates for from my last pack, and put the new ones in an elastic band in my desk until I need them!If you need some nice, vibrant, good quality and long lasting fibre-tip pens - buy these!!

Great quality and a lovely range of colours. Easy to grip and comfortable to hold either when drawing or writing. I used these throughout my GCSEs and A Levels to create revision mind maps and flash cards and they were perfect for the job. They're great for both kids and adults - the tips are fine enough to use in adult colouring books and the kids I look after (ages 8 and 11) enjoy using them too and find them easy to hold. Providing you always put the caps back on, they last for ages and I've had the smaller set of 10 for about 8 years and they're still going strong (though the tips do wear out and lose their shape over time). The case is also really handy, doubling up as a stand.Overview:+ great range of colours+ handy case and stand+ long-lasting+ good for kids and adults+ rich colour+ fine tips, good for colouring books

I bought these pens for making revision notes. They came very promptly and I like the variety of colours - my notes look much prettier now. The tips are a good thickness but I'm not sure how long they will last, the ones that I have used the most have started to go a bit soft making the writing thicker (this is why they have received 4 stars instead of 5). Despite this they are nice to write with and would make a lovely present for any student who likes to have colourful notes.I think these are a good purchase if you aren't intending to use them too heavily - e.g. notes and posters for school/college/university, but there are cheaper, more hard wearing pens available, which might be better for young children.Overall,a lovely range of colours and very easy to grip because of the shape - I really like using these pens. :)

I've used Staedtler products for years and have always recognised the quality in which they are made, these pens are no exception. A triangular cross-section allows a comfortable hold and the size is suitable for children and adults. They are, perhaps, priced out of the range of children's pens but are great for adult colouring or similar use.The ink lies fairly evenly on the page; like most colouring pens, you will get some overlap lines but this is relatively minimal. The colour selection is good, though I felt it was missing some paler purple colours, such as lilac. The ink seems saturated with colour and they match the barrel colour well.It can be a little fiddly getting the pens to sit in the plastic tray,if you've taken them out. The tray can be removed though, and leaves room for a few more pens or a pencil

Staedtler are a brand that I trust. Buying Staedtler I know that I will be getting quality and long lasting stationary. The Triplus pens are vibrant, long lasting, smooth writing and well designed pens that are comfortable to hold, great to use for neat writing and/or colouring. The nibs make it easy to outline areas or small sections or a larger design but also great to use for colouring larger areas.I have never had a problem with Triplus pens running out or drying up if lids are accidently left off. The storage tin is great for keeping pens together, although it is a thin metal and therefore can easily bend or dent, but is perfect for keeping pens together in a bag, drawer or on a shelf. These are pens that will be suitable for children, students or adults alike for a range of academic or hobby uses.

These 1.0 mm pens are really great, I use them for broader colouring where the 0.3 mm fineliners would require to much work. The colours match the equivalent fineliners as well (except my later comment), so you can work the finer edges etc with the fineliner and then work the bigger areas with these pens. So far the pens have also lasted really well.Colours:- the colours all match except that the fineliner has two shades of grey, this product has one. The fineliner has three shades of green, this product has four. One final point I would make is that, the case opens up into a stand up model, which points the pen tops at you, but as you can see from the product photo, all the caps are blue!Meaning you have to look at the pen itself to ID the colour, whereas fineliners are colour matched tops
