Excellent, highly recommend. For you first pack it is best and cheaper to buy the bigger pack of 15/18/20 as you get a free large sharperer which you will need. The larger packs also have more colours such as lime/cyan/silver/gold/white. You will also find you will go throu red/green/blue/yellow/black quicker then other colours, then the purple/cyan/brown next. So it best and cheaper to buy a very large pack and then top up with the small packs.These really are great. They come off very quickly on walls, clothing, fabrics(seats/carpets) wood, television screens and hands. The only thing I have found they do not come off with water is radiators if they are warm of hot when the child drew upon it....I think it is the wax melting and bonding to the radiator paint coating.You can use these as normal crayons, use as chalk and water paint with them.These are wood made and very thick, good for age one onwards hands. Thick centre too, as does not wear down that quickly compared to Crayola types.PS. You could uses these for writting on black boards, and erase with baby wet wipes easily.Do not forget to order the sharpener as you will need it. Normal sharpeners won't work with these due to the size.Sharpeners come free with the very large packs 15/20 but look out for 5/6/8/12 packs sometimes I have seen say on the front free sharpener.These are very expensive in retail shops.You can buy on Amazon multi sized packs with or without the free sharpener, and buy them seperately. I have seen eduactional pack where they are one colour packs.

We bought these for a 4 year old who loves art and getting messy. She has just spent the afternoon using them with her arty aunty, and both of them love these pencils. Perfect for small hands to hold, and lots of fun for them in figuring out different ways to use them (our little one drew with them then used a wet paint brush on top, used the wet paint brush to get paint direct from the pencil, dipped the pencil in water and wrote with it, etc, etc).She loves getting messy, but these were much more controlled than using paints so it means she can have messy fun without actually making much mess. When she fell over and got paint on the floor and leather chair (from her hands)this wiped off easily with a damp cloth. The pencils are top quality and well worth the money as they will last for a very long time. We haven't yet tested them on glass, but we expect them to clean off that easily too.Our little niece absolutely adores these pencils, had an awesome afternoon using them, and is going to be having plenty more wonderful days using them. We're looking at getting the larger range of colours to add to this set. And Aunty is also tempted to get some for herself!These pencils are also great in a travel activity pack for holidays because they're less messy than paints but still give the child plenty of fun.

A friend of ours bought us a set of these "pencils" for our two year old son and we were so impressed that we went out and bought a larger rainbow of colours.These are a beautiful, chunky cross between a pencil and a crayon (the outer sheath is wooden with stripes indicating the colour of the pencil but the "lead" is very soft like a crayon).The colours are vibrant and varied and transfer very well to paper, my son has not problems at all holding and drawing with them and loves to sit down at the dining room table with me and tear a big strip of paper off the roll we have and draw trains, aeroplanes, the family, letters and birthday cakes with candles with me.They are water soluble and wipe easily off our laminated wooden coffee table too,I am quite a strict parent so we've not had a chance to test how well they come off walls, carpets or furniture yet.It is worth investing in the sharpener for the pencils (they have a large diameter than a standard pencil) which does a great job of keeping them ready to go.I would not hesitate to recommend these pencils for children, try one of the smaller packs first to make sure you agree with me but I am pretty sure you'll extend your collection after seeing how well made they are.

These crayons are sturdy, have great strength of colour, can be used as they are or with water..and seem to give a shiny result which gives even the youngest of children great satisfaction with early experiences of crayon marks. I had previously bought these singly from a good art shop, and as with so many children, the three primary colours have been worn down quite quickly. Was very pleased to find them at such a good price. As usual they arrived both quickly and in one piece..I cannot fault Amazon on that. I would be happy to recommend others to buy these for any toddlers or preschoolers> my granddaughter started using them before she was 18 months.There is a special sharpener that I would recommend also be purchased with this set.

These are absolutely the best crayons/pencils you can buy for your kids. I've spent lots of money on other products but these are by far the best. Yes they cost a bit more than your cheaper pack of supermarket crayons but they are worth it and trust me you'll save money in the long run!They have a lovely soft texture which is great for little ones as they don't have to push onto the paper too hard. The colours are nice and vibrant too. A plus is that you can dip the in water and paint with them too. One of my top buys!

Bought for grand daughter and though expensive will never buy anything else . Our 20 month old can't eat them as they are enclosed in wood and if they roll off onto a hard surface they don't break. Just used as crayons so far .The crayon washes off walls with one gentle wipe and even wipe off fabric with a little effort. Couldn't believe it. Beautiful dense colours . Am investing in a wider range as so impressed with them.

I love these crayons.Children can paint with them just a bit of water is needed to dip in the crayon or use them as a colouring pencil with no water, I just wished they were around 40yrs ago. We have also found they wash off easier than others crayons, you will need a large pencil sharpener, my Grandson two and a half years, will sit for ages using these crayons I put a bit of water in an egg cup.

these were recommended by a friend and they are fantastic. they make a great alternative to crayola crayons, and the colour is much brighter. they do dissolve in water, althought the marks on the paper still show, unless you really soak it. however i like the effect that is left after my 3 year old makes marks and then pours water! great product, lots of fun!

Wonderful colouring pencils. So deep and soft and give wonderful colour. Nice and large for little hands so good for toddlers just starting to,use a pencil. Disadvantage is that a normal pencil sharpener won't do for these, so you also have to purchase a large pencil sharpener - never mind 'cos this will also work for your eye shadow crayons.

My 2 year old loves these, nice & chunky so easy to hold. Great soft texture. Flexibility of using in different ways, although at the moment we just keep to normal drawing but at some point we will use water, etc. Great value for money, and I think they will last a long time, both in use and for future years.

if you got the dosh or not these are - believe it or not excellent value for money. Have only sharpened these once in 5 months. they are incrediable. My daughter had drawn on the sofa and floor and it comes off without a trace. She also loves the colour then paint aspect. very vibrant. have ordered more.

I used these pencils at a museum art event and was so impressed with them that I ordered a set. they are not cheap but they are great - thick pencils which are easy for young children to hold and a very rich colour. Quick coverage of the paper, rather like a crayon but with the appearance of pencil.

Got it as a gift for my 2 year old. He really loves them. They're great as they have not only got him into art but also keep him busy in a good way!! Great grip for little fingers and can use them as water colours too. Easy to wipe off any stains. Finished one box and buying another one soon.

5 stars and more..brilliant pencils...really love them...great drawing on paper and if drawn on wall or kitchen cupboard doors like my 2yr old granddaughter attempted, so easy to wipe off...love them...will definitely buy again and brilliant value for the money....Thank you

Ideal for young children who can hold the chubby pencil easily and, so long as they get the pencil pointing in the right direction, can make their marks on paper. No mess, nothing to break and a wet brush over the drawing turns it into a painting. Expensive but worth it.
