Initially I was wary of the poor reviews and the price of this pen / stylus but eventually took the plunge and bought one; I'm so glad I did, it is amazing and makes multi-tasking so much quicker and easier.The pen has a quality feel to it and the writing quality of the pen end is as good as any Parker etc pen I've ever used. The slightly moulded barrel allows good grip without requiring too much pressure or exact hand positioning like some moulded pens.Turning the pen upside down to use the stylus end couldn't be easier and lets you flick from one task to another whether paper or screen based and means you no longer need a pocket or bag full of pens/stylus etc.The stylus end is activated by

I knew Stabilo were good writing instruments, but always stuck with other brands of established pens. Thought I'd give the Stabilo Smartball, right hand, a try, as I got it half price in a well known stationers, I also got two refills too.Well three years later, I'm still using my right handed Stabilo Smartball pen. These pens are remarkable, in three ways, longevity of the ink, the comfort, and the ink flow. These are the most three important design elements in a pen for me. The look of the pen, I'm not worried about, the Smart ball is function over appearance.The cost is relevant to productivity. In other words, these pens write a long way, with maximum comfort. STABILO SMARTball Right Handed Black Ink Ballpoint Pen with Touch Screen Function - Black/ Cyan Blue excellent product, i have spent lots of money on other stylus pens but i have to say this one is the very best i have ever had! dual purpouse very easy to hold for both uses! i have very bad athritus in my hands and as of now i will never have to worry about the grip on this item! excellent quality, very sturdy and very easy to hold, not a lot of pressure is needed to write or to type taxt messages on my touch screen phone, works well on ipod touch too, so its uses are endless when it comes to using my very athritic hands! well done stabilo,, excellent!

Good dual function pen.Best of all I like the choice of right/left handed options.The pen ergonomics make this comfortable to hold and great to write with, my handwriting has improved more than I thought possible.The Ipad/touch screen end is effective, but not as responsive as I would have liked. I use an Ipad2 and it is not as responsive as another stylus I bought, hence 4* and not 5*.In conclusion it does the job and saves on carrying 2 pens. I've just ordered another anyway!

Wrong colour I ordered black blue not black and disgusting cactus green thank goodness it's still right handed and black ink or I couldn't use it for my math exam on Tuesday. It also came in no packaging, now no packing is better for the environment which is fine but if it had been as part of a gift it would have looked thoroughly disappointing and 2nd hand.Seems a decent enough pen at first glance, bit pricey but if it's comfortable and the stylus lasts it will be worth it.

I have two of these pens now and they are by far the best stylus pens in this price range that I’ve come across - it feels well made and both the pen and stylus ends are working well so far.It is maybe a slightly odd design that the stylus end also doubles as the ‘clicker’ to retract the pen when not in use - but hasn’t caused any issues up to now.Would recommend for any frequent users of mobile or touchscreen devices, it helps to reduce wrist strain and RSI issues.

The actual pen is great, using it as a stylus is somewhat lacking. It's not very sensitive and I find myself jabbing at screens which isn't ideal. That is the only reason I've knocked it down to four stars. It is a fantastic pen though with a great grip. I like a chunkier pen with good grip as I struggle writing for periods of time due to pain in my hands. If you suffer from joint or other pain conditions this may be a good choice for you.

I love the curved pens in this range, so was very pleased to find they did a stylus tip too. The stylus works great on my hybrid laptop screen, and is so much comfier to hold. The pen is also very good, writing smoothly and easy on my arthritic hand. I bought a refill at the same time, so this should last me for quite some time, although I do generally lose pens before they run out, so I’m being extra careful with my new favourite.

I have a son who is dyslexic and has dyspraxia as well as hypermobility.These pens help so much!He doesn't get as tired when writing and his writing is a little better.My son finds it so much easier to write with these pens. We have one at home and he has two for school.I also love the fact you can get them in blue or black. My son has Irlen syndrome so blue makes it so much easier for him.

As someone who is cack handed, my hand cramps up pretty quickly if writing. This pen is a godsend for avoiding those cramps. I've had my last pen for over 18 months now and while it's looking a bit worse for wear is still utterly reliable. The stylus thing broke after a while but I haven't lost sleep over it. Worth the extra outlay, but keep a close eye on it!

I lost my original Stabilo smartball pen after 4years which it never faulted (replaced refill) so hopefully this should fill the spot, easier to purchase here than driving 14 mile to the nearest place that sells them.the pen writes on the gloves we use at work,(ambulance service), which act as our note pads, and is visible compared to other pens.

To get the best performance from the Stylus end of the Pen it needs to be held directly at Right Angle to the Touchscreen device in a near vertical position so as to make full contact with the rather flat end of the tip. If this method is followed the stylus seems to work well with most devices without the need for excessive force.?

Nicely designed pen, comfortable to write with and solid build. Stylus works well and more accurate than the mesh microfibre one I have, although not as sensitive so you need more pressure. Not sure why they make the pen in three barrel colours as the ink is the same, but great that they do a left and right handed version.

I brought this for my granddaughter who is having problems with finger placement when holding a pen. She loves it!!! She said, because the pen is shaped for your fingers to sit in the grooves it makes it difficult to hold it incorrectly. I contacted the seller with a query and had a very quick , polite response.

Purchased for my son who is left handed. I also use the pens. Nice comfortable grip and has improved my sons penmanship. However, I ordered 3 blackPens and received 1 black and 2 blue ink pens. We cannot use blue ink pens at work. So I needUp ordering some more and received the 3 black ink pens I ordered.
