This tube-style redesign of traditional Stabilo neon highlighters seems to me something of a gimmicky idea that doesn't always result in an improvement over the traditional design. The highlighters have been redesigned to resemble paint tubes. This doesn't make any difference to the way in which the highlighters work on the page - the ends are still a traditional chisel-tip felt pen. Where it does make a difference is to the caps. When capped, the tubes are capable of standing upright on a desk... but when in use, the caps don't clip neatly onto the ends of the tubes as they would with normal Stabilo highlighter pens, so they're more likely to get lost. There's also no plastic storage wallet. You might expect this to mean reduced packaging - but the use of plastic hasn't really been significantly constrained here as, in addition to a thick-gauge plastic net, there is also quite a large plastic label. The price point is reasonable. I'm not quite clear on the what constitutes 'Assorted' in the 5 pack set. The 'Assorted' set I received matches that shown on the item photos: one each of green, orange and pink highlighters and two of yellow - which suits me well, as I tend to use yellow more than any other colour of highlighter - but whether the combination received varies from pack to pack is not made clear in the description at the time of writing

I am reviewing the pack of 5 highlighters; neon orange, pink, green, and two yellows. They live up to expectations as they are very bright and don't smudge the writing I am highlighting (unless I highlight something more than once, as if there's too much of the highlighter, the writing does smudge a bit); which I am especially happy about as most highlighters I have tried smudge the ink. However, the packaging isn't great as it's bulky, and so won't fit in my pencil case. The tube design is a nice idea, but I wish they were slimmer as they'd be easier to hold and I would be able to transport them more easily. However, the marker-style tip design gives quite a thick line (you can turn the highlighter sideways for a thinner line)which pleased me a lot as it highlights all of my writing so I don't have to highlight over it again, which makes it more prone to smudging the ink underneath. Overall, they are nice colours and good highlighters- I just wish they had a slimmer design.

i use yellow highlighter only, so this pack of 3 same yellow colour gives the best value of money!the yellow colour is very bright! i could already feel it when highlighted the first line of text, when compared it to the highlighter i used previously, the difference was more obviousalthough the cute paint tube style was the main reason for me to try this highlighter, but i found it’s not very comfortable to use, maybe it doesn’t fit to a big adult hand?the end of the tube is quite sharp, got a rounded edge but it still caused intermittent uncomfortable feeling when using the pen, if the tube is longer, that will be betterlastly, some ink seeped through the paper and could be seen on back of the page,it’s not an issue if the document is single side, but better be careful if it’s a concern to you that some yellow ink dot appear on the other side of the page

This is a pack of four marker pens (green, yellow, pink and orange) that ship in a white plastic net bag. They are an unusual design and not the hard plastic construction I am used to but more of a hard squeezable tube (there is some give but not a lot) with a solid inner part holding the ink.It doesn’t appear possible to tell how much of the product remains in each marker as nothing moves when you shake the pen, although that may change as the pens are used. But the colours are nice and vibrant and the nib (the same as all previous stabilo pens I have used) can be turned to vary the width of the highlighter line as required. Ink flow is good and, if you scan documents in black and white, bear in mind that only the pink shows up on the scanned image although not to the extent that you can no longer read the text beneath. It is a good set of four marker pens.

Highlighter pens are so useful and I am actually quite pleased with these Stabilo ones. Unusually styled cases (resembling a tube of cream), offering five colours in one pack (pink, 2 yellows, green and orange). They are chisel tipped enabling you to underline various lines of text in a document or book whilst also allowing you to block highlight words and sentences. Each pen produces a bright and noticeable highlight colour.A really good feature is the anti-dry out technology which basically means that if you leave the pen on a desk for a couple of hours without having it's lid on it won't dry out.I'm able to confirm that this works as my daughter left three of them on her desk without lids for over three hours and they still worked perfectly.Good pens at a reasonable price of £4.98 (price at the time of this review)

Stabilo has a long history of producing quality highlighters and these are a bit different in design, although live up to the brand's reputation. They are tube shaped rather than the flatter design than I'm used to, with a bit of "give" in the tube which makes them quite comfortable to use. This design is also apparently to stop them rolling off a desk as a round pen might do (not that I've had that many problems with round pens ....) The one flaw with the design is that there isn't an obvious place to put the lid when the pen is in use (and the lid is round and therefore could easily fall on the floor) The colours are very vibrant and will stand out well; the colours supplied are neon yellow, orange, green and pink and they are refillable. An ideal addition to the pencil case of a student bogged down in revision.

Cute set of neon highlighters that come in a net. Stab ilo markers are great - I much prefer them over cheaper a;ternatives and this is an update on the old design in a tube design like a paint tube or tube of moisturiser. The plastic is semi hard so there is not too much give. The marker end works the same as standard markers and the colours are the standard neon traditional ones. To be honest I don't really see the point in the design change. The highlighters work as well as the traditional ones but they are less comfortable to hold and squeezing the tube gives no indication of ink level or produces more ink to the nib as the ink seems to be encased in another vessel inside the tube - so the tube is just for show.My kids said they preferred the standard traditional stabilo boss markers.

This is a good set of highlighters in four neon colours. They come in a little net which is easy enough to break open with your fingers. They were larger than I expected (they look small to me on the photo!) and they feel comfortable in the hand when using them. The shape is attractive too. They give vibrant colours on paper, and the way the nib is angled means you can either get a thick line or an impressively thin line. This makes them more useful than the highlighters which are just designed to do a thick line, and is especially good for students. It's impossible to say so far how long they will last, but I'm hopeful given the brand that they will be durable. They are a bit more pricey than some highlighters, but the quality probably justifies it.

Original and best highlighters for study, and various other uses, like highlighting the odd ingredients you may tend to overlook and the awkward bits in recipes, going through tricky drafts of contracts, or letters in bureaucrese. Indispensible. These are a bit different in tube form, not suffering as much from dry-up as the normal sticks if you're too idle to keep replacing tops.A week on and I really do like these. I've only used traditional highlighters before. I do like this tube version. So far they appear brighter than the traditional pen and haven't dried up. They're easy to write with and kids seem to love using them. A good range of colours, I do like the fact there are 2 of the most popular colour yellow. These are great.

Great highlighters from Stabilo. Vibrant colours and this new paint tube design works well for me. You can stand these up on a shelf or desk and they take up very little space. The tip can be used at different angles but I use the thick one as I highlight text in documents.Curiously in the product description at the time of this review it says that these are refillable. I can't see any reference to that on the packaging nor can I see any obvious way in which that could be done. Nor can I see where you might get refill ink from. Not an issue for me but if you did envisage buying these for that feature you might want to be aware of this.

Stabilo produce my favourite neon highlighters of all time so I jumped at the chance to get these new style ones. They seem smaller than the traditional highlighters but I am not sure if this is just because of the illusion created by the new shape or whether they actually are smaller. The new design feel more comfortable in my hands which is important when using these for long periods of time - the old style often felt uncomfortable due to the wide square shape. I don't know if these will last any longer than the old ones but to be honest, the stabilo highlighters have lasted longer than any other brand that I have tried.

Collection of four highlighter pens in yellow, pink, green and orange from market leader Stabilo. These pens have been commonplace for for over 30 years now and there are no surprises here although the design of the pen has changed a bit and it now resembles a fat tube of toothpaste. The reason for the change is lost on me. It seems they now have a greatly increased time you can leave the top off without the pen drying out, but that's just as well as the new design means you can't just pop the top on the end and you have more chance of losing it. That said, they highlight documents very well which is rather the point.

This is a set of 4 highlighter pens in classic neon colours: yellow, pink, orange and green. What sets them apart though is the new tube design. As you don't need to "squeeze" to get the ink out, the tube packaging doesn't add any functional benefit to the product... The pens are the same great quality as other highlighters by Stabilo and although they are chubbier (and take up more room in a pencil case), they are no more (or less) comfortable to hold than the standard highlighters. So do we really need tube shaped highlighter pens? No, not really - but they do look quite cool, don't they?

These are a lovely set of colours albeit at just under a £1 a highlighter it's the tube concept I guess that keeps it at that cost. The colour is effect and takes well to paper but I found as I was highlighting small text the highlighting line was starting off perfect but the tube kept slipping in my hand and then colouring bigger areas. It was as if I couldn't keep a secure grip on the pen. I think I'd like it either completely round or a normal shape. The unusual packaging is good, makes it a nice gift for someone who would use a lot of them (I do as a teacher).

Nothing to fault these on. They are a different shape to the ones I've had previously but otherwise seem the same. The colours are nice bright shades, good for marking text, and the ink dries instantaneously so you don't get it on your hands. The manufacturers seem quite proud of the chisel tip, but I thought all markers had that? Either way the tip is firm and enables you to either mark text with the broad side, or you could underline or write with the thin edge. As they correctly claim, the toothpaste tube shape does prevent the marker rolling across your desk.
