Wanted some fine ink pens for doodling. Had a few options to choose from including the Staedtler Desktop Box of 10 pens. For the few extra quid I got the 20 pack.First of all, the case they come in works perfectly for something to store them in (others have suggested getting a pencil-case to go with them: no need!!). Not only does it have enough rigidity for protection (no worries when chucking then case in the bottom of a bag) it also arranges the pens into a slim package that can be slipped into a folder or stacked on a shelf between books. It also has a neat little design where you can fold the lid of the case creating a built in stand. So the pens...I was looking for a fine-liner to replace a UniBall pen I had and wanted something that was good for drawing/doodling.I was not disappointed. You can achieve very fine to reasonably fine lines with these which is good for outlining and fine shading. Others have written reviews saying that the nibs are too easy to push in. I'm not the gentlest of users and was at first worried that I may be too heavy handed to use them. I've not had any issues at all with the nibs, the pens are a lot more robust than others have given them credit for. The shaft is triangular which I find more ergonomically comfortable. People have also complained that the pens run-out/dry-out too quickly, something which I cannot comment on as I have only owned them for a week...only time will tell. But if I'm honest, even if they last me 6 months I think I would've got my money's worth due to the great price. I would recommend the 20 pack over the 10 pack as it obviously gives you that extra colour range for only a little more money. All in all I can't fault these pens and this set: highly recommended!

Do you sketch? Do you write? Do you draw? How about doodling?Maybe you amend blueprints? Proofread manuscripts? Mark homework?Whatever it is you do with a pen in your hand... I'm telling you straight, categorically, you'll enjoy it much more with a set of these!I studied art, I did engineering drawing and worked in an Architects office. I designed posters, letterheads, logos, and I doodle on anything! I also studied calligraphy and graphic design ....So as you can see, I've used my fair share of writing materials... From quills to Technical drawing pens... And these fineliners are the nicest, comfiest, most colourful bits of kit I've ever tried. They have a rounded triangular body, making them extremely comfortable for extended use. The nibs , despite their thinness have a sturdy and resilient feel as you draw or write. The ink flows uniformly and cleanly with no bleeding or scratching. So far I've tried them on copier paper, printer paper, cartridge paper, and in a couple of cheap address books. They work equally well on all.I know it's a little ridiculous to sit here gushing and waxing lyrical of what is, basically, just a set of coloured pens... But let's be honest, if you've arrived at this review then its because you're interested in whether they're worth the money and if they'll do the job.The answer is... Yes..and yes. When these need replacing, if they have doubled in price to 20+ quid... I'll still be buying themWhat are you waiting for? You know you want them..so go treat yourself :)

I bought a pack of multicoloured Staedtler triplus fineliner pens for a children's art activity, and when I discovered how wonderful they were to draw/write with, I took the black pen into work and used it until it ran out. I now ensure that the stationary cupboard at work stocks these pens and I ordered a couple of boxes from Amazon for personal use at home. This is the best pen I have ever used - a lot of my work records have to be handwritten, and these pens make my writing look beautifully neat and clear. Although the pen is very narrow, it is very comfortable and light, and when I (frequently) forget to replace the pen lid, the pen never dries out. This pen does run out more quickly than some of my previous (ballpoint)pens as the nib gets gradually smaller and you reach the point where you can't write with it. However, each pen still lasts me ages, and at around 57p a pen (at the current price of £5.65 for 10 pens), I don't mind replacing them every couple of months. This is essentially a very fine felt tip pen so be careful if writing on shiny surfaces such as a birthday card (the ink can take ages to dry) or on very thin paper (which can sometimes absorb too much ink). The pen is absolutely fine on normal quality paper though.Apart from when I use a ballpoint to sign the odd birthday card, I don't use any other pen but the Staedtler fineliner. It's a really good pen - try it and see!The pens came in a cardboard box as shown in the product photograph.

I write and draw a lot in regards to my interests and have loads of notebooks that I have filled over the years. So I appreciate a nice writing/drawing tool.I've used Staedtler pens since I was a kid and I don't remember coming across a bad Staedtler product. With 181 four/five star reviews at the time of writing I don't think you can go wrong here. The reviews do work! Thank you all.In this 20 pen set you get 20 different coloured Fineliners which are -- Yellow- Red- Magenta- Bordeaux- Blue- Light Blue- Aqua Blue- Cyan- Orange- Green- Willow Green- French Green- Olive Green- Violet- Dark Mauve- Brown- Van Dyke Brown- Grey- Silver Grey- Black(I love lists!)The Triplus Fineliner pen is 5.5 inches long with a metal cladded 0.3mm tip and is three sided rather than just round. This makes for easier holding and better control over long periods of use. Being 'Drysafe' if you accidentally leave the cap off for a day or so the tip should not dry up! The ink is water based and therefore should easily wash out of most fabrics. The pens are supplied in an award winning designed packet which cleverly doubles as a brilliant desk stand to keep your pens in order.A pleasure to use for writing, doodles, drawing and note taking. If you are looking for something like this I cannot recommend these enough.

This set offers 30 pens in a rainbow of colours from deep black to yellow taking in shades of green, blue, purple, orange and grey on the way. They feature the classic Staedtler triangular design so that they are easy to grip and hold in the hand for children and adults alike. At the risk of stating the obvious they are 0.3mm points so they are not for blocking or shading areas of colour, but are excellent for sketching or drawing lines as well as writing. They work particularly well if you working with a ruler to draw a graph for instance or if you like to write notes and figures using colour codes. They will also do sterling service in the drawing of plans or roughing out designs. However, given the size of the tip, don't expect writing that jumps off the page in its boldness. The pens can be used for long periods as they are light and don't tire the hand too quickly. The pens have a decent metal tip and should last a fair while and they come in a handsome tin rather than a cheap plastic wallet as is so often the case these days. If you have other similar products, it may be useful to know that the colour of each pen corresponds to a number in the Staedtler colour range.A nice gift for the writer or designer, but also a practical purchase for yourself

It is hard to find anything new to say about these pens.I buy this brand, Staedtler make great felt tip pens.I like the 0.3mm Finaliser pens in particular because I like to write with them. You can of course use them colouring books and pictures. I am attempting to use more advanced colouring techniques and these fine nibs are essential to get a fine finish.i love the colours. This is a range of 30 which is a decent amount for sure. I find the pens do last ages and don’t dry up the way cheaper generic pens tends to do.If you are going to put a lot of time and energy into colouring or drawing a decent picture you need a good quality pen to use.The pens in the case are in a tin which is actually beautiful. It feels exciting to open tin rather than a cardboard packet and makes the pens feel more special.I am also going to gift a tin of these to one of my grandchildren who is most creative. I have found that if you give a child a “special” container for their pens they take much more care of them.I think this product is great and worth 5 stars easily. I have bought and used this brand for years so feel more than happy to say how good they are.

I love fine-liners and the Staedter range has got to be my absolute favourite range. I particularly like the ultra slimness of the feel of the pen which suits my hand and writing style perfectly. As a teacher, marking is the bane of my life, especially when you have over 350 books to mark every 3 weeks. For this reason I need a pen that is light, slim and fits the slimness of my hand, which is just what these do.These pens need little or no pressure applied to write effortlessly and beautifully. I absolutely love them. However, if you have a particularly heavy hand, I wouldn't recommend as I have seen many kids for example, ruin their tips. That's why I never ever lend these to my lower secondary students! But these really are a joy to write with! Just keep an eye on them, because everyone else likes to write with them as well! Especially my two teenage sons! They sneak them into their pencil cases for school, so I have to have a secret stash! Please let me know if my review has been helpful. If it hasn't, please comment on anything that I can do to improve my review! Thanks!

This is a set of 30 colouring pens supplied in a metal presentation box with the pens' corresponding colour code numbers printed on the reverse. The pens have especially fine tips at just 0.3mm making them perfect for all precision work whether colouring small areas, drawing or fine-line sketching. For the less artistically inclined they are also suitable for writing. The water-based ink flows smoothly with no scratchiness from the metal nib and it is instantly dry with no smudges even when rubbed immediately after use. With their 3-sided rounded triangular shape, I also found them easy and comfortable to hold which, following several finger fractures resulting in an arthritic middle finger,I can't say about many pens or pencils. They're also extremely lightweight so are comfortable to use for long periods. The colours are bright and vivid with no bleeding through 100gsm paper and, when sketching, there is no need to replace the cap between uses because they don't dry out.Excellent pens. Not the cheapest but amongst the best and longer-lasting than many others.

I bought these for £11 in a lightening sale a few weeks ago and could not reccomend them more highly! They're a great selection of colours and they're fine quality pens that are comfortable to both colour and write with. From previous packs I know that they take a long time to run out and don't dry up without a fight like many other coloured pen brands. I've come to rely on them for sprucing up my university notes, exam notes and for colouring intricate adult colouring patterns.Their triangular barrel is very ergonomic as it puts very little stress on your hands/fingers (I have hypermobility so these joints often get very painful for me)and this is helped by the vivid colour of the ink as you don't need to put much pressure on the pens at all to get bright, bold colour every time. The pens are very versatile due to the 'superfine' nib and can be comfortably used for both writing notes, underlining, and for colouring in which means you can get a lot of use out of one pack and makes them incredibly handy to carry with you.

After receiving an adult colouring book for Christmas I needed some fine pens to use.I settled on these after reading many reviews on various products I'm not at all disappointed with these. They arrived in a hard plastic pocket which adequate but unfortunately mine didn't want to stand, so the pens went straight into my pen tin brought for these pens. There are 20 beautiful colours which are all true to the colour on the top.A lot of people commented on how 'scratchy' they were, but I have found that not pressing too hard gives a smooth colouring. The problem of the ink going through the page and onto next page is simply resolved, I use an A4 piece of card which I simply put behind the page I'm colouring.Only helps if your pictures are on one page and not double sided.Overall, I've been using these pens for over 4 weeks now and they are not showing any signs of running out or damage to the nibs. Hence I can happily recommend these to anyone looking for very fine tipped pens for adult colouring or precise drawing.

I have always bought stabilo fineliners. Hang on, lets rewrite the last sentence. We (meaning all my immediate family and friends) have always chosen to buy stabilo, time and time again. Why you might ask? Well...it turns out a certain supermarket is very good and luring you into buying them. Previously I had bought Staedtler fibre pens, so I thought why not give the fineliners a go! They are brilliant, these are very very fine compared to the stabilo pens-which makes them perfect for doodling intricate details. You can use them for notes, but the best usage I think is for illustrations. I wish there was an extended colour range. I would love to seen more shades of pinks and more green/blues!I allowed my class of 5/6 year old girls to use these pens, they held up very well to the pressure. They were all returned in usable order which I found quite amazing- I would say little children find them harder to use then say a felt tip, so I would not buy any fineliners for children- they tend to try to use the side of the nib.

I got the Johanna Basford set of 36 colours as this worked out the best value at the time of purchase. I'm currently colouring in Millie Marotta's Animal Kingdom which I love doing. Although I use both colouring pencils and pens, I prefer to use pens most of the time - I have some chunky ones from Crayola and some medium tip pens also from Staedtler (the other items I've got from them are also good quality) - so I wanted some fine tip pens to colour in the smaller parts. For this they do the job very well. If you were to use them for the whole page it would probably take quite some time and I don't think the results would be that great,so I'd recommend using these alongside some medium tip pens.Although I haven't use them for such these pens seem they would be good for writing or sketching. The range of colours (as you'd expect in a pack of 36) is great, nice and varied with strong colours - the only thing this set is missing is some metallics! Overall I'd recommend these fineliners.

I LOVE these pens. I am hard to impress when it comes to stationary, especially pens. But I brought these as an add on to a bigger order just to get the free postage. It turns out they are well worth the purchase and I will definitely be buying more. The triangular shape of the pen barrel sounds like it will be uncomfortable to hold but is actually really comfortable and relaxes your hand around the pen. The fine tips of these pens are only 0.3mm meaning they are suitable for writing very fine lines and in very small places, the colours are bright and intense making them perfect for colouring or drawing as well as journals or studying and pretty much anything else!I use them for my journal and memos and on a wide variety of paper types and as of yet I have not experienced any bleed through or smudging so they are very close to perfect. If they were a touch less scratchy when writing cursive quickly, i would say they were perfect. I can not recommend them highly enough.

The Staedtler 334 0.3 mm Triplus Fineliner Superfine Point Pens are beautifully presented in a quality tin rather than the usual plastic container which seemed to reflect the high standard of this product. The pens have a silver finish with colour-coordinated base and cap denoting its ink colour and the three-sided barrel provides a firm, yet comfortable, grip.Having such a fine point means that colouring can be done with precision making adult colouring even more enjoyable and also achieving a better result. As the ink flow is even, the pens can be also used for writing which is ideal for colour-coded annotations when studying; the same is true if one prefers to underline, rather than highlight. With the added bonus of 'DRY SAFE' to prevent the pen drying out if left uncapped (though I cannot vouch for this as I haven't left a pen uncapped, as yet), I cannot fault the pens - especially at the Amazon price, so it has to be 5 stars!

Brilliant pigmentation, does not bleed, mostly great variation of colours, absolutely ideal for detail work.Only downsides, and the reason for 4 stars:-Lacks variation in red colours. There is one or two actual red nuances (one lighter, one slightly darker), and the rest are either very pink shades or just turn brown on the paper. This is surprising considering the fact that the other colour groups (green, yellow, blue, pink, purple, black/grey, and eapecially BROWN), have at least 5 different shades per group.- Second complaint is the packaging. The packagimg is very organised, but very flimsy as it's made out of very thin cardboard that is absolutely hopeless to travel with and gets ruinedpretty quickly.I wish they would've come in a more sturdy packaging that doubles as actual storage and display for the pens instead of being disposable. (I'm comparing this to Stabilo's hard plastic packaging for their 20 color sets).
