I must sign over a thousand prescriptions in a day. It used to be that patients would be on a handful of items and they would tick the little box on the request slip and my staff would print it and put it in the box to be signed. These days things are very different with patients often being on ten or twenty items - each month. Each item has a review date, patients request things they have not had before or ‘those little blue tablets they had when they came off holiday last year’ and so on. Then, there are the patients and pharmacists who don’t use the little re-order slips we give them and write their own. All these things cause a halt in the ten laser (and one in each of the ten doctors’ surgeries)printers that churn them out all day long. Each of these items needs to be checked by a doctor and my staff have an array of highlighting pens for such a task. The only problem is that one request can often require different levels of checking. Thus the bight yellow marker might indicate all those items that need to be re-authorised, the bright green one the item they’ve not had before and maybe the bright blue one something that they cannot read! These can take forever to sort and I tend to put them to the bottom of the pile so I can get the ‘early wins’ on their way. More importantly the garish bright colours tend to affront ones eyes and the bright garish colours tend to confuse and confound just when one needs to concentrate. This is especially true on the slips of paper that have multiple highlighted colours.Even more significantly is the hundred letters that I read each day. These are scanned and then read off the screen. Urgent letters and faxes are often highlighted before they are scanned. The problem with the really bright markers is that the crucial bit often appears on the scan or the fax as a dark smudge that can no longer be read!Enter this lovely quad pack of Stabilo highlighters. They have the familiar chunky feel and the nice robust airtight cap that clicks on and off satisfyingly. They are quick and easy to use and tend to last an age. They are also resistant to drying out if one is careless and leaves the cap off. Most crucially they have lovely pastel colours and which still subserve the function of highlighting stuff that needs to come to my attention but does not assault my eyes – especially when used in different colours in different items on the same page. The other really useful attribute is the subtle colour will scan or fax and just leave a subtle shading (in B&W) that can be easily read but one can still tell that this was the area that was highlighted. So a really useful twist on a familiar theme which, I believe, has moved in the right direction and I have a feeling that the girls in the office will love them nearly as much as I do. Many thanks.

The Stabilo Pastel highlighters offer a refreshing change from the standard, fluorescent and overly bold neon highlighters. I bought these (£4.00) at the time for revision and school work to make notes look nicer, and they certainly do that without taking away from the notes. I have done a simple swatch test comparing the Pastel with the Standard Stabilo Boss Neon highlighters.I notice that highlighting was actually a smoother experience with the neon ones, supposedly because there is less ink able to come out at once in the pastel in an effort to keep it pastel. I also noticed that while both had an uneven amount of colour where the highlighter touched and left the paper it was much morenoticeable on the pastel highlighters. If you look on the back you can see that’s both do ghost through regular paper - the one I am using for the swatch is 80gsm, but I think neon ghosts slightly more. Similarly, bleeding is definitely noticeable at the beginning and end of the strokes, but much more in the pastel than the neon. (Please note the pen used to title the swatch is not Stabilo related at all - it is in fact a uniball Air micro.)Despite the few limitations these highlighters offer a nicer, fresher palette of colours to work with (my favourites being the yellow, green and blue) making me want to study!

I have had a tricky relationship with highlighters over my long history of studying. I like to highlight key words, equations, and important considerations, however typical highlighters are so bright and attention grabbing that I struggle to focus on the rest of the text. It is only now that I'm studying my masters I finally came across the solution to my problem, which is in the form of this pastel set. They are bright enough to highlight important parts of your notes, but not so bright that they drag your eyes away from what you're reading. In terms of quality; it's Stabilo Boss, they're a well established brand, and somewhat of a standard for highlighters, so you're not likely to get sent dry/depleted highlighters. You're more than likely going to lose these before they run out.If you feel a similar way about highlighters as I do then don't hesitate to buy these, they're a good product that is good enough to make me feel the need to come back months after I bought them to write a nice review for them. I don't do that often.

I have been using these for a couple of days and they are a fantastic range of colours, not too harsh on the eyes which I disliked about the original range, good value for money for the price I bought them.I must say that the ink does tend to bleed through to the other side of the page at the start and end of each stroke, and you can see where the colour has been applied on the other side. This happens even with a light touch, which isn't something I encountered too much with the original colours. (As I am working through a copious amount of printed notes, I don't think to heavily about the pressure I use, and so with my usual grip there is a fair amount of bleed through). This doesn't bother me too much as I print on one side of the page to annotate the blank side, but I can imagine it would be irritating if there was print on both sides of the page.NB The paper I am using is 80gsm printer paper - which I think is fairly standard- but I imagine with glossy textbook pages/ journal paper you wouldn't encounter this issue.

Very nice highlighters with a good range of colours although the blue is a bit too dark sometimes. I don't really see the point of the purple and red highlighters as they are very similar to the pink and unless side by side you can't really tell much difference especially with the purple. I'm really happy with the dark green highlighter as although it's significantly darker than the normal green it is still light enough to see the writing underneath. I like that these highlighters are quite chunky as I'm not fond of thin highlighters. I also like that they don't smudge my writing even when I write with liquid ink rollerballs like the uni-ball UB157 eye pens.I haven't used them much on printed text but they don't seem to smudge printed writing. These highlighters last a while as my last packet of stabilo boss highlighters was bought over a year ago. They were used about 3 times a week and still all work perfectly fine (except from the blue which cracked open). Very good quality highlighters.

These highlighters are obviously the number one choice. They're reliable and they feel great to use.I had no reservations about the good quality of the pens themselves. On their arrival, I was however disappointed with the condition I found them in.The plastic casing was very bashed up, and is definitely not going to be usable. I has planned on slipping the case into my handbag so that they weren't flying around all over the place, but as the bottom is barely able to close and the plastic misshapen, there is not much chance of that happening.More disappointing was the fact that the yellow highlighter pen had clearly been used to go over the orange highlighter at some point, and my seemingly brand new yellow highlighter has an orange tip.I'm pretty sure these have been used before, but at the end of the day most of the pens are in good condition and the plastic case is there to take the brunt of any damage in order to protect them, so I can't really complain.

Stabilo highlighters are THE highlighter everyone first imagines when asked to think of the product, the classic shape and quality ink are unmistakable and has defined a standard neon colour way from the classic yellow, pink, green all the way up to the rainbow mix including the more difficult red and blue. But in recent years stationery addicts have turned to Japan's Zebra highlighters which take a pastel soothing calm approach to highlighting rather than the user-bright neon. I admit it's a nice option especially for bullet and art journals and I was converted.Stabilo has however come back with a great answer in their pastel collection meaning I actually want to get the full colour collection now not just these 4.These are gorgeous, see the photo for the colours, they are soft petal pink, sweet candied violet, zesty Spring green and baby China blue. These are my new favourite highlighters without a doubt and I'm buying more!

In the event that you've at any point utilized Stabilo highlighters, at that point these are the quality you'd expect yet in better hues. In contrast to the norm/unique pack, these are less unforgiving on the eyes and make notes look so brilliant. My lone protest is that at the hour of buying these, they were just accessible as an 'Extra' thing. I had a go at looking through Amazon/different shops however couldn't discover the pastels available to be purchased all alone. Fortunately, I had a couple of things on my list of things to get yet this would have been so baffling something else.Additionally, something that is extremely minor is that the yellow is to a greater degree a splendid yellow instead of a pastel; so that could be something for them to chip away at.Other than that, the highlighters are high calibre (as you'd expect) and I'll certainly be buying them again once the mine has run out.

These are by far the best highlighters I've tried and they're a great price too! The colours are lovely and vibrant, whereas others I've tried are too pale and don't attract your attention... which defeats the whole point of highlighting! The pens themselves feel nice to hold, they're quite chunky but easy to keep stable when using and unlike many highlighters I've had in the past, these don't feel like they're going to run out any time soon. I also like the fact they come in a plastic case, meaning that they're easy to locate in a bag or store neatly on a shelf. My only advice would be to make sure you don't smudge them - they take a little longer to dry as they're more liquid based.Would definitely purchase again!Pros:- come in a plastic case- good variety of colours- highly pigmented, vibrant colours- caps clip on strongly- nice to holdCons:- easily smudge-able if you're not careful!

I have been umming and arrring about getting a new set of highlighters for myself (I have been stealing my partners highlights, but she has now hidden them, for herself! Selfish!) Anyway... I looked around the supermarkets and I really didn't want to pay £4.00-5.00 for a set. So I came on Amazon and they were on sale for £2.29 inc p&p. Ideal! After receiving these in the post, I jumped at the opportunity to get back in the office and start highlighting (It should really take more to get me to work!) And the colours are very vibrant and really make it easy to pick up certain bits of text. It's very easy to edge towards the cheaper versions on the market, but I am a great believer in "you get what you pay for".I'm very confident these will last for several years to come! HIGHLY RECOMMENDEDI hope this review helps!!P

What a refreshing change from all the traditional yellows, oranges, and blues. This set of pastel colour highlighter sets a new standard for highlighter effectiveness in a range of non-dayglow colours that make their mark, do their job and still leave you standing out from the crowd. There is a pale green which is especially effective at drawing the eye, a pastel mauve which stands out, a gentle aqua-marine and a subtle pink in this set. I was so pleased with the diverse and pastel sense of these colours that i went a little mad with them the first night, I think you will like them too. I suppose the breakthrough idea with this new range of colours is that you don't need a dayglow colour to draw your eye - think about it!Will this catch on?I hope so, but they have already caught on in my house!

I bought these highlighters as an add on purchase which made for a great price. I love stabilo highlighters and have used them for around 30 years now (surely not!?). I find them easy to hold and especially like the fact they are so easy to quickly cap and uncap the lids. We have free highlighters at work, which are a different brand, I don't use them as the caps are very stiff. Stabilo is the choice for me every time - i would never buy another brand as they are so reliable. I use this set of 4 pens every day at work and they have lasted well over a year. Would always recommend this brand and as an add on item, I couldn't beat Amazon for the price. These state they have new "anti-dry-out" technology so it will be interesting to see if these are different in any way from my old set.

If you’ve ever used Stabilo highlighters then these are the quality you’d expect but in better colours. Unlike the standard/original pack, these are less harsh on the eyes and make notes look so colourful. My only complaint is that at the time of purchasing these, they were only available as an ‘Add on’ item. I tried searching Amazon/other shops but couldn’t find the pastels for sale on their own. Luckily, I had a few things on my wish list but this would have been so frustrating otherwise. Also, something that’s very minor is that the yellow is more of a bright yellow rather than a pastel; so that could be something for them to work on.Other than that, the highlighters are high quality (as you’d expect)and I’ll definitely be purchasing them again once mine have ran out.

I often find that when I'm highlighting while studying, the bright colours of the highlighters are too much. The colours are sometimes so bright that it's hard to read what's underneath. So when I saw these pastel highlighters, I was in love.I ordered them on Sunday and they arrived on the Monday, so I can't complain whatsoever about posting. They came in a little box, as shown in the picture.I immediately got down to studying and used them to highlight already written notes. The colours are so pretty, and aren't so bright as to make my handwriting illegible. I also imagine they'd be good on books, too.The pens are of a good quality and I'm very happy with them.I'd definitely recommend these highlighters for any kind of use.P.S please ignore my shoddy handwriting!

There is a battle going on in the classroom that is invisible to the casual observer. All over the land, students (and teachers...oh yes you too!) are pitted in a perpetual struggle for stationery supremacy. These pastel highlighters are the latest salvo in that battle. Not as impactful as the latest CASIO graphing calculator in your A-level maths lesson, or as fulfilling as a top drawer rollerball pen (or Lamy if you like fountain pens), but these Stabilo pastel highlighters are items to be coveted in a way familiar only to a few Hobbits and their ring.Nice colours, erm that's about it from my perspective.Stabilo are always nicer than no-name cheapo highlighters so go on spend the pittance extrato get something that will last more than one page of highlighting.
