I bought this for my left-handed nine-year-old, who has terrible handwriting, and we have been doing writing practice exercises at home with it.It has a sort of a curvy shape and three very specific dents to put the thumb and fingertips in, so it has been very helpful in improving her grip and getting her to relax her wrist and her fingers when she's writing. I can really see where everything is supposed to go, and can help her to get it all in the right place and at the right tension.The ink comes out relatively easy, but it does sometimes go dry when my daughter's writing, for no apparent reason, and takes a little scribbling on scrap paper to restart. This is frustrating.

My left handed 8 year old has some mild Dyspraxia and loose joints and has consistently struggled with handwriting since starting school. She's always been a year or so behind the rest in terms of neatness which is a shame as she can read like an adult and talk so eloquently. We tried lots of things to help but the Easy pencils and Pens have helped the most. They provide a consistent shape and grip compared to a sleeve grip.It's taken a while and I'm sure I can't put it all down to the shape of a pen but now in year 4 I'm proud to say that we are nearly on a par with the rest of the class.

Nice idea. A lot of lefties I know feel discriminated against, particularly with stationary. Pens, scissors etc., all feel designed for the right-hander, moving from left to right across the page. This attempts to address this imbalance; it`s a snug fit and will definitely help people who do not hold the pen in the "right" way - I`ve always been a big smudger of what I write because I hold it differently and this helps.

Definitely a pen for those learning to write as we southpaws seem to grip pens in the most uncomfortable and contrived angles. It won't suit if you have one of these grips, my daughter also sinisterial finds it difficult to write with. I on the other hand (no pun intended) found it quite useable after getting used to the sculpted body shape. Good thinking for the ten percent of us who are left handed though.

This pen is a really good idea (note there are different versions for left and right handed children).We've only just started using the pen but the grip makes it easy to hold (especially for small fingers), the pen is light and the actual writing nib is quite nice.Overall I think this is a great idea as we haven't really found any pens that suitable for small hands...

Both my sister in law and neice aged 7 are left handers. My neice is just developing her writing skills and we've found her letters are getting smaller and the lines go downhill! This pen has certainly helped with this in increasing the size, and as its ergonomic assists the writer to hold it in a better position .Ink comes out well and its not blotchy. Bravo!

Quality pen that truly helps a 9 year old left hander!Finally a product that has helped his writing significantly and has given him more confidence with writing, he loves using it and good to have a twin pack - one for school and one for home.Definitely purchase again and pleased to have next day delivery.

Love them. I write with these instead of a fountain pen as it really helps my handwriting a as Nd I don’t have to worry re smudged ink... I have used these for many, many years as they suit me and I buy refills in bulk from Amazon. Many people who borrow my pen for signatures love writing with them too.

I have a left-handed son, and he has always struggled with his handwriting so I was pleased to give this a go. He's found that the unique shaping of the pen, helps him to find a better grip and balance on it and it has certainly produced an immediate improvement in his writing.Definitely worth trying

My 5 year old lefty really struggled to grasp the pen correctly when writing and would revert back to the palm grip. Within minutes of trying this pen she had the correct grip and consequently her handwriting improved significantly. She now takes this into school to use every day.

My son finds this great to use at school for learning and correcting his leftie pen-grip.However, as a leftie myself, i honestly did not find it comfortable to hold or write with.Each to their own i guess.It's a little expensive for what it is, but Stabilo is a quality pen

Very useful for left-handed writers. Ergonomically designed to sit comfortably in the hand. There are indents where the thumb and fingers rest which help kids and adults to write. It has a lightweight feel. The rollerball nib works well with an easy flow. You can buy refills.

It takes a while to get used to and forces you to write with one finger on the length of the pen, whereas I tend to use 2. It does however seem to make my writing neater. So whilst a little uncomfortable to start with I think worth persevering.

There are two types of handwriting pens. These are the ones for left handers.They are :comfortablewrite wellare brightgood valuegood for child developmentSUPERB=======Easy to use and really assists the lefties.

Bought for my son as was having trouble with all the handwriting pens issued by school. Teacher really impressed with handwriting following the use of the pen and has asked the school to order some for other students
