Every family with young children should ‘invest’ in proper quality i.e. branded, colouring pens. if you agree this might be the set for you.I’m sure that there are sets of 30 colouring pencils that you can buy at a fraction of the price that I paid for these. But these Stabilo pens are very good. They won’t last forever but last for a relatively long while, possibly years. In particular if you teach your children some disciple about putting caps back on after each drawing session and restrained use when colouring large areas - to allow the ink to redistribute within the pen. It’s also handy that the caps can be attached to the back - which is not always the case. The grip is good though the pens themselves are thin.. We also have the 88-type sets but these 68-type felt tip pens are best for our youngest son. Using them will not fill your room with a chemical smell. And the colours are generally deep and bright. The other benefit of buying a branded set is that after, say 12 or 18 months you can buy a replacement set or single pens and keep the ones aside as spares that haven’t dried out yet so you’ll have a complete set for longer. We have had lots of proof that the Stabilo ink is easily removed by washing as well.

This review was taken from my blog thegreathobbyhunt.com where you can see pictures coloured with them. I really like these pens. I use them for adult colouring. They're fine enough that you can do an entire picture in them with only some going over the lines but thick enough that they allow a really good coverage, which is something that is problematic with using .88's alone as you can definitely see the scratchy lines and white space if you try to colour in with .88's alone. I would preferably use a combination of .88's and .68's in order to avoid going over the line in intricate details but if you could only afford one set of pens or wanted to try them out first I'd definitely go for the .68's.Whilst I think they picked very good colours for the ten pack of pens, and I like that they included two shades of each of the main colours rather than trying to squeeze more colours in there, it's very difficult to keep to a palette with only ten pens and the lack of purple/pink/numerous browns is very noticeable. I would definitely stretch to a larger pack size if possible.

LOVE THEM==========I love stationery. I write a lot and am always looking for new colour pens or stationeryCOLOURS=========The colours are quite vibrant and I love the way they don't bleed through paper. I use a moleskin notebook, and this paper is a little thin, but there's no bleed-through to the following page.DRAW======Sharpies are good. But for detail they're not ideal. These, on the other hand, are ideal for drawing, writing, colouring or just for adding an artistic touch your work.PENS=====The pens are fairly light weight with a felt tip end. They are much more detailed than the old felt tips I used as a child.PROS=====No bleed throughNo smearing on glossy paperNo smearing on notebookpaperLong lastingNo dry out if you forget to replace the lid for an hour or twoWell balancedWrites wellCONS=====Not the most ergonomic of gripsOVERALL========Really good

I'm delighted with these felt-tip pens.I write historical fiction and although, like most modern writers I draft on the computer I like to correct the various drafts by hand whilst travelling on plane and train. These pens do not bleed through the paper, and there were no ill-effects when I fell asleep for an hour or so with the top off one. The colours are brilliant and true to the shade of the pen itself. Please note, these are the bullet-shaped nibs, which would be great for colouring-in. They are useful for bold notes on a manuscript - for more discreet notes, Stabilo also make a slim line nib, which I enjoy using for making diary entries etc.No negatives for me.For a top-quality pen the price is about right - I've used all kinds, and the cheaper ones simply don't last as long.

These are probably the nicest fibre/felt pens I've had the pleasure to use. The pens are hexagonal in shape like the old wood style pencils, and are easy and comfortable to hold. The tops fit firmly in place to stop them accidentally marking things. The tips are quite fine at just 1mm and holding them at a slight angle gives a good thickness for larger coverage. If you are using on most colouring books they will be a good all round thin to thick tip but for intricate works a fine point pen would be necessary. The colours are solid and vibrant, and if you want to make a colour deeper these dry well to be drawn over again to give great depth.I only have the ten pack but some of the others have neon colours included so it's worth having a good look at the different pack sizes and prices.

I've been using Stabilo pens since I was a toddler. They have always been the synonym of quality. The colours are very vibrant, with no bleed, nor transfer. Ink dries up to the correct shade on the marker so you know that will be your end results. The hexagonal shape has been typical of Stabilo, and I can tell you it helps you hold the pen in a comfortable position. Caps go in easily and secure firmly and the pens will not dry even if you forget to cap them overnight. They claim the ink is odourless and it is very close to that having a very faint smell. The pens' bodies will not shatter or break if you step on them, making them durable. The only star missing here is due to the steep price. If I need more and hey are on promotion again,I will be getting them once more.

I like to use coloured pens to write notes and sketch ideas and I have to say that STABILO are some of the best pens you can buy. They are really good quality, comfortable to hold and they glide smoothly across paper. The collection is a set of 10 that makes up a rainbow of bright colours and they are just as bright on paper as they are in the pack, although the pink colour is a bit too red, but that really is just a minor point. All of the colours are usable and they all show up well. They are felt tip pens rather than fine tip but I still manage to write notes to myself with them and think they are great for wiriting revision notes or instructions.I can't recommend these pens highlyenough.

Stabilo are the brand I first bought some years ago, not for colouring but just for writing and drawing.I tried another brand too, but much prefer Stablio. These pens are an pen tip 86 which are slightly thicker than the fine 88. It is all a matter of personal preference for writing.Plus for colouring you probably will need both. These pens are good for older children and adults. Stabilo also make pens more suited to younger children. The colours are good, the pens last years and won’t dry up if you leave the cap off up to 24 hours. I will continue to buy this brand when I need to add to my collection as they are my brand of choice for felt tips.

I had a pack of ten felt tips to try and found them really good. The colours flow freely filling in lines smoothly and completely. The colours are bright and vibrant and the caps will fit onto the end of the pens while they are in use.I enjoy using adult colouring books and these are perfect. If you forget to replace these pens will not go immediately dry the maker claims that they can be left off for up to 24 hours before beginning to dry out. They come in a reusable plastic case. These pens while adding lots of colour have not bled through the pages of my books at all.I think these are probably the best felt pens that I have used.

Stabilo pens, both these 68s and the 88s (fineliners), are a reliable felt-tip that lasts well with excellent colour depth and flow. They are anti-drying, so last for several hours without the cap on. They have a relatively broad 1mm tip and therefore are more suited to colouring larger areas and less suitable for fine work. There are 46 colours in the total range but the 10-pack gives a good selection of strong colours.I would highly recommend Stabilo for good quality and reliable pens. They offer really good value for money. There are cheaper pens but they don't last as well or have the colour depth that these do.

These are lovely pens. Some are a pure joy to use and others not so much (I didn't like the greys to start with but they are settling in with use). Once dry you can go over them again to get a slightly darker effect - I suggest buying good quality colouring books though. Other people who did not get on so well with these pens may have been using them on cheaper and thinner paper. I am using mine on the "Calming Art Therapy Colouring Book" and there has been no bleeding on the other side as the pages are quite thick. I would certainly recommend these pens and this colouring book a well.

I love these pens and have recently rebought this item, even though the original ones were still going strong. I do these colouring for adult books and have a big collection of pens, both expensive and cheap, for my hobby but these are definitely the ones I like best. A fairly fine tip for small areas but fully up to the job of filling larger areas too. The tops fit neatly on the other end while using, and I even like to neat white stripes on the outsides of the pens.I have pens by Helix, Berol and Crayola etc, all good quality pens, but these are the ones I will buy again and again.

I really like these pens - although at first look they may appear a higher price point than other similar pens, I quite happily pay the extra because I know they are worth it. These are the medium nib, there is also a 88 pen which are real fine line pens and perfect for labelling diagrams, grids or narrative. These 68 pens are slightly thicker and great for colouring in but also the nibs are strong enough to make annotations or labels readable and neat. This is the basic set which includes basic colours and are a great edition to any students pencil case.

Stabilo pens are exceptional quality and can always be relied upon. This set is a medium nib, which is great for broader colouring strokes. I use these for creating 'hand made' notices for work, and they colour copy beautifully too.The range of colours is simple, but there is every colour within the rainbow you could need. The pens last for ages - but do make sure you fully 'click' the lids on tightly.Great for colouring books - both for children and for adults alike.Highly recommended - really well worth it.

Great set of 1mm fibre tip pens. I purchased the 30 pack and will purchase the larger pack next time as I love them so much. I purchased these along side the pack of 30 Stabilo fineliners so I had the colours in two different tips. It is worth noting as there are more fibre tips than fineliners the packs don't exactly match colour for colour. These pens give great coverage and colour and the inclusion for the neon pens add to the pack. Great for those who enjoy adult colouring and a great variety of colours.
