Soulcalibur Legends is the first Soulcalibur game in the series to not be a fighter, and instead is an action hack and slash game. If you have played any hack and slash game before then you know what to expect. Lots of enemies to fight, moving on to the next area, more fighting, the occasional puzzles and boss battles. This is pretty much what the game is from start to finish. There's lots of levels to play through in the story, but be prepared to be going to them more than once a lot in the game with diffrent paths. It'll be repetitive for some people, but if your someone who likes these kinds of games, then this is a fun title. The controls are pretty simple and easy to learn. There's lots of swinging the remote to attack, so prepare yourself for a bit of an arm workout. The controls all work great, and the combat will be basic, but as you play, there's more to the combat than just swinging like crazy.Graphics arn't the strongest for a Wii title, but they get the job done and still look very nice overall. Character animations are fine and level design looks good if a bit repetetive.Character wise, there's only 7 to play with. Siegfried, Mitsurugi, Taki, Sophitia, Ivy, Astaroth and a special guest character, Lloyd Irving from Tales Of Symphonia. You'll get to see some other characters from the series, but not playable.Sound is great with an orchestral soundtrack and slashes of weapons all sound great, fitting well into the game. Voice acting is not to bad either. There's an option for the original Japanese cast so there's always an alternite if you don't enjoy the english voice acting.Granted this game won't be for everyone, but those who like a simple hack and slash game where all they wanna do is play a simple game where you kill enemies over and over, then go for it. For fans of the series, it's worth a try. 7/10

If you are already a soul calibur fan then I recommend this game as this is very different to the original soul calibur and instantly becomes fun with the wii remote and nunchuk controls. In many of the levels you can switch between two characters which makes the level easier to complete as you have two different bars of health but I still found the game challenging at times. Characters include- Ivy, Astoroth, Sophita, Taki, Mitsurgi, Lloyd and in some levels you have to play only as Siefried as he is the main character. It is nearly a purely fighting game but I enjoyed the occasional problem solving or required logic to complete a certain part. The different locations are good with interaction with the environment such as breaking barrels, switching levers and turning lights on to open doors. The enemies vary according to levels- some may need speed, some may need strength, some may need both to defeat them. I preferred this game in single player but two player is much the same with levels of competition or cooperation of two players.Soul calibur games have never been known for their difficulty and this game is no exception. I found this challenging in only a very few levels, mostly boss levels (such as Maki and Geki- you have to kill each of them twice!). However this does not take away from enjoying the game and having fun. I would recommend this game to any gamer but may not appeal to everyone. If in doubt grab a friend and start in two player!

VERY MUCH unlike the other soul caliber games. For a start its only 1 player - so no multiplayer mode at all.(Be warned you need a nunchuck to play it!)Also its not a pick a charatcer and play through levels like the others and tekken. This is more a story mode no character selection is possible which to be honest was most annoying. From what i have played it seems ok, using the wii controls as the sword and to do any sort of moves at all but id have been happier if they had stuck to the traditional game play style

This was the first action game for our Wii so I am not comparing it against another game. We found the game fun and my son played with it for a few weeks.I think it is a rating of 15yrs but I don't know why as there is no blood the occasional swear word but it isn't strong language. We think it is a good fun game.
