Put the disc into your console, start the game. You're welcomed by the standard Singstar interface, barely changed since the first PS3 edition came out, but still, there are some minor alterations. It is rather good overall, the interface, so it's not a big issue. If any issue at all.The tracklist of this edition... well... I am rather satisfied. I understand that you can't dance to everything and from the songs one can dance to the Sony team chose a few good ones - Lady Gaga's 'Poker Face', the Jackson 5, 'I like to move it' (the orginal version, not the Madagascar one), Livin' la Vida Loca, Hey ya by Outkast and some others. There are (less than 10 out of 30) tracks that I cannot digest at all.I don't know whether it's true for everybody, probably not.The whole dancing thing... It's not better than Dance Central for Kinect, I suppose, but still, it's one of the best ways you can use your move controller at the moment. When you dance correctly tracking works well, most of the time at least. It's the other way around that is sometimes problematic, by which I mean that one can cheat the game if you put some effort into it (I don't think leg movement is tracked at all). On the other hand, what's the point? The game offers a very good reason to move, sweat, exercise and that's what's most important for me. If you gain some satisfaction and fun out of 'dancing' in front of a TV, a single song can be easily played fifty times. Mastery takes time, doesn't it?Routines are quite advanced and cannot be repeated nor mastered in the first approach but that's what powers the game's replayability. The sole process of learning can make a lot of fun.I've started to run in circles, so let's just stop here to sum up.Fun and exercise. And some more fun.And remember... you don't have to dance, you can also sing (either alone or with a partner (either a singer or a dancer))So I recommend it. Especially for this price.

I looked forward to receiving this game for quite some time; I am a huge fan of the Singstar brand, and after getting the ps move controller, thought that it would be a great way to see how well the controller works and add some extra functionality to songs I'd previously bought. The first thing that I should say, is that there is no practice function or step-by-step training option with Singstar Dance, and so you sort of get thrown in at the deep end with fast, and sometimes extremely complex-looking, routines. Whereas Dance Central talks you through everything slowly and pieces moves together, this game expects that you just get right in there and make a fool of yourself with no prior experience of the sorts of moves that you are expected to do.After spending more time on the game,I'm sure that one would be able to learn the routines by heart, and get higher scores, but be warned if you have a Playstation Eye! As I have found, be prepared for horrific videos to be recorded of what looks like me fitting out with a PS Move controller in my hand. That said, the finish to the game is very good, and nothing feels massively different interface-wise to past games. This is definitely a party game, and if you are looking for something to have a laugh with your friends at, then this is certainly the game for you. Otherwise, you should check out Kinect, as Dance Central really is a fantastic game when it comes to real-life dancing. It tracks your whole body, as opposed to just the location of the PS Move controller, in Singstar Dance. Both are good for different reasons, and I would have no hesitation in recommending both.

Our family is an avid Sing Star fan and the range keeps everyone entertained and gives us all a good laugh, especially when used with the Eye Toy camera. The Sing Star and Dance is the first Sing Star game to feature the use of the move controllers and this works very well allowing you to not only sing along Karoke style but also dance along as well. The tracklist of this version is another great collection of 30 songs from the last 3 decades - MC Hammer 'U Can't Touch This' Lady Gaga's 'Poker Face', the Jackson 5, 'I Want You Back' Outkast 'Hey Ya' Something for everyone which is what you want when you play this at a house party or family get together. The dancing is not better than Dance Central for Kinect,I've been told but if you have a PS3 this is the game for you. It's one of the best ways you can use your move controller at the moment. The game offers a very good way to exercise and gets people off the couch when playing games which is a good enough reason alone, get your groove on and have fun.You can play this game alone or with up to 4 other playser, just sing or sing and So I recommend it. Especially for this price. An important point on this game the wireless microphones are very recommended as if you are jumping around the wired microphones which work great for the non Move games are not the best for this version.

As far as I know is this the only SingStar which supports the Eye camera, correct me if I'm wrong. It is that same camera support what makes this game a very funny experience. The soundtrack certainly is one of the worst in my opinion, with the opening credit song being oneof the most annoying songs I've ever heard. But all of this is very personal, I can imagine and respect that somepeople will enjoy those songs. Taste is a very subjective thing. The beauty of SingStar lies in the downloading of tracks and thereby customizing the playlist to your own taste.Where SingStar Dance makes the difference is the ability to make some hilarious video clips with your friends and/orto laugh with each other in the replays, such fun!!! Also the dance part is the icing on the cake, with friends. Those last two words are the true heart of SingStar: with friends.Excellent for a party, just make sure to set the right atmosphere since not everyone will dare to sing,so try to make a fool of yourself first :)Have a Blast!!!!

I had this game as an xmas present after playing other versions several times at friends houses and really enjoying it (especially after a few drinks!!) I decided to ask for the dance version to give a different element and i have to say some of the dances are very hard to follow. Unlike other dance style games that I have played before there is nothing to tell you what moves are coming up next, although the dances often have the same moves repeated it can still be tricky and very fast. Especially if your not a natural dancer like myself! Having said that its still good for a laugh, which is what my husband and I did for alot of xmas day - mostly at each others attempts!!The game is great for a good mix of songs to sing along too, which is what we use it mostly for, and even better you can download the guitar extra for free to go with it, plus all of the other songs on the store too!

Really enjoyed this game with the move controllers, it is very tricky though even on easy, watching yourself back on tv makes you look like a lunatic! The song choice is ok, not fantastic, a few gems, a few ok and some fillers, its more about the dancing with the move, having fun and a bit of a workout. You can play your old ps2 singstars in the ps3 just follow the instructions with this game in on how to switch discs, of course no dance moves on that though. Which brings me to my gripe...there is nowhere on singstar store to add dance moves to your previously owned songs or purchase new songs with dance (please tell me if I'm wrong on that) so there is a limit to what you can do.

The good:- lots of very good musics tracks like "Like to Move It", "Livin la Vida Loca", "I Will Survive" or "Poker Face"- original videoclip- possibility to 2 singers and 2 dancers play simultaneously- replays of your performance- possibility to buy more tracks on SingStoreThe bad:- difficult choreography, requieres training and memory.- only 30 tracksI Recommend it.

Any of the the Singstar titles have a broad selection of music to join in with and when you feel ready to tackle some more there are over 1,700 songs in the playstation store libray which is always adding new titles. A great party starter or even great singing solo.

Bought this to keep the kids entertained. It does 2 player games, which would be fine if 2 kids could agree on the same song - don't suppose that's the game's fault. It does keep them entertained, not got the move controllers so can't comment on that side of it.

I'd become bored of the old Singstar but thought I'd give this a go for old times sake. The dance side of it is brilliant, watching back the dance video is hysterical, especially the morning after.

This game is fun to play.. The only thing that is frustating is that it only got a few songs in it.. If you want to have more music you have to purchase the music that you want or like..

Excellent fun, perfect for parties and to enjoy on a day night with the family or friends. Good selection of musics and excellent graphics. The recording option to watch later is great!
