This worked a treat. I did it by hand in a bowl because I was worried about ruining my machine based on previous reviews. The packet includes instructions for doing it both ways.I had spilt bleach on a favourite pair of (red) trousers. Firstly I bleached the whole thing in a bowl to get it even (as the dye most likely wouldn't evenly cover a small bleach stain). After washing and drying, I followed the instructions for dying in a bowl - soaked for one hour in hot water with the dye. I stirred it with a wooden spoon every 15 mins for one hour. Then rinsed in cold water until the water ran near-enough clear. Then put in the washing machine and washed on a standard 40C cycle.

I have a set of very good quality Egyptian cotton towels that I have had for many years, although still in excellent condition they had all faded in colour and looked 'tired', being reluctant to replace them with new ones as I cant find any of same quality and weight I decided to try and dye them. I must say I am delighted with the results the colour is lovely and what also pleased me is the product evenly dyed the towels despite my concern it would not, the endcresult is great, my family thought I had purchased new towels! . To sum up a good product, easy to use and much much cheaper ootion than purchasing a whole set of new towels!

Bought due to getting bleach on my green trousers and hoped it would restore the colour. Amazing. Colour back no problem so also decided to dye a white golf skort which wasn't looking too white anymore. Brill. A little dodgy on one pocket as got too much dye on it but just done a white jumper which I managed to get some yellow stain onto and that has come out brilliantly. Not dark green, more lime green but perfect for me. Think I will be buying some other colours as otherwise everything will be lime green!

Having used Simplicol twice I can say the complaints are from people who don't know how to use a machine dye.It will not cover stains dye deeply on man made fabrics , or dye a too large load.I have just dyed a faded pair of black jeans and a camel coloured pair of jeans together, the black ones came out an exquisite shade of deepest black and the camel came out the darkest grey. I wiped the machine around the seals and did a light after which was not ruined!

Thrilled with the results. I soaked in soda ash for an hour (18 table spoons in the bath and filled to about a quarter with hot water). I used 3 Gentian blue and one Marine blue in a 12kg machine on 95 and added the colour fix to the softener draw. Note I had to add water to the machine to ensure the throw was fully immersed as I have an eco machine. I might have gone a bit darker if I were to do ice, so 2 gentian, 2 marine. Navy might be a bit darker?

I used the yellow dye to refresh my bathrobe which had gone a dingy white Wonderful result Then decided to put my good but dingy older undies and nightdresses again wonderful The yellow is favorite lovely shade Got fix it to keep colour intact only put clothes into cool delicates as change fully every day Can't fault my choice Didn't try a deeper color ,but maybe one time might try But yellow is perfect And used machine every time I love it P a Reed

Great depth of colour and even results on a pair of jeans that had a varnish stain that wouldn’t wash out. Dylon didn’t do the job but this did. As for the washing machine and folk putting clothes straight in after using this product and being upset that it stains clothes - I have to wonder what goes through their minds. You always have to run an empty cycle, preferably with some bleach added, after dying clothes. It’s just common sense.

Bit patchy but thats from trying dylon dye that ruined them previously but tried this over the top and very impressed full cover in the colour used 2 boxes in machine and its covered it still a bit patchy but over all quiet happy. Was annoying how post man left my parcel outside my front door all day though and I was at work got back and had been drenched from rain.

Product arrived very promptly. I was resting a pair of combat trousers and was worried the grey would be too dark but, when dry, the colour is perfect. I’ve marked them down because there are no English instructions. Having used Dylan machine wash dye previously, I knew what to do but for first timers it would have been confusing.

I had two garments that is accidently stained with bleach. Nor.ally they would be binned. I purchased this product as was a cheap option and even though the I steuctions were not in English I tipped the packet into a bowl, added kettle water and my garments and straight away the bleach was gone and fabric back to black. #AMAZING

Brilliant product! Easy to use and effective. My white cotton towels were looking a bit 'off white' so rather than discard them I thought I'd try to dye them....and I'm very happy with the result. Stick to the instructions, don't overload and you won't go wrong.

The instructions for this product are not in English, so; I had to do some guess work based on other products I've used. It did the trick, but I think I'll go back to using dylon. As I fine the coverage better and it makes the cloths look new rather than dyed.

Got this to dye a velvet type bedspread that was a light green and was destined as a bed for our dog due to the colour . Dog lost out as the bedspread looks fabulous . Lovely rich green colour that’s looking great in the spare room !

Amazing dyed item in bath after ..the thick canvas ...it was cream...navy blue all over as like it was bought that way ..filled bath drop of cleaner.( must add it wasn't marked just tide mark of light blue)...not a mark ..brilliant

Dyed perfectly and evenly. I was colouring a piece of fine cotton, I followed the simple instructions and it has come out the most glorious orange colour, just as advertised. I’m very pleased with it, and thoroughly recommend.
