The purchasing of this item was prompted by the fact I had bought my nephew a cheaper version and immediately realized it was a mistake. It felt flimsy, the colour was dull and it didn't fit properly so it kept falling off. This hard hat by comparison is the total and absolute opposite. From the moment I lifted it from the box I could feel the quality. It is well molded, sturdy and yet still light enough for a small child to wear all day of he chooses. The yellow colour is bright and the shape is very sculpted and cleanly done. The inside adjustable head ring allows the helmet to be adjusted for a better fit so my nephew could plonk it on his head and it wouldn't fall off as he proceeded to "fix" all manner of things around the house.I really recommend this helmet.
