I have a real Stihl chain saw and this is just like a miniature version. It has a pull handle, throttle trigger, moving chain and on/off switch - all in the correct places.Our four year old son has watched me use a real one enough that he picked it up and started to use it just like the real thing. I have to say he was expecting it to actually cut trees though. You couldn't blame him for the mistake as the toy is such a good copy of the real thing. The only thing it has got that mine hasn't is a volume knob (and that would be handy).Our two saws sit together, side by side in the shed.

I bought this as a present for my nephews second birthday and was afraid it would be cheap looking or would stop working. However, I was so impressed. It's so cute, and so realistic, and my nephew loved it. He was so excited and it didn't take him long to work out how to turn it on and get it going. My brother who had a chainsaw of his own was also impressed with how realistic it was. I would definitely buy this - it's the perfect present for a little boy and one that he will always remember and associate with you.

Sadly, this is not sold in the US any longer, resulting in my needing to order it here. The saw arrived in 10 days and it was a gift to our 2.5 year old son from Santa. The saw worked intermittently, but this was a result of a loose on/off switch which I was able to tape to the "On" position to avoid the lengthy return process. The saw works flawlessly and our son loves it!!! The spare tools and chain are a nice touch and we are really pleased overall.

I bought this for my 3 year old nephew and he absolutely loved it. So did his 6 year old sister. There was a bit of an awkward moment, where he declared he was going to cut down the tree in our back garden, applied the chain saw, and waited for the tree to fall... but he did get into the whole 'pretend' thing eventually. And it is about as realistic as its possible to be - all the right noises, all the right buttons. Great buy - I am favourite auntie!

the stihl chainsaw is just like the real thing. handle brake (doesnt actually stop the chain), volume control (brilliant), pull starter, and changeable chain. Its a good size for a small child> it is rather robust, but the paint seems to come off quick on the orange corners. Does not detract from the fact its a great educational toy as well as making him feel like hes being just like his dad.

Great little saw! Bought it for my 1 year old son as he's a daddy's mini me (dad's an arborist) took him a day to work out how to use it but once he got the hang of it there was no stopping him. Only down side to it is the pull cord sometimes doesn't work and the bar already had to be tightened as it came loose, only bought at Christmas time. All in all though I highly recommend it.

My 3 year old son loves his chainsaw! Realistic sounds and seems very durable. Chain has been held on real wood logs and is still moving as it should. Batteries have lasted 3 weeks as well, considering it is used many times a day. My son got this for Christmas to be like Daddy and even tried cutting down our Christmas tree!Excellent toy, highly recommended!!

Great little replica toy the details are exactly like the real thing, i bought this for my nephew for christmas and hes overjoyed with it.It comes with a spare rubber shain which is child safe.It has a pull cord start up sound andReving sound with chain action moving parts there is also a volume control if the adults find it too noisy.

a excellent purchase,bought this as it looks like the real thing.thinking the grandson would love this,WOW absolutely one of the best purchases ive made.looks like the real thing and sounds like it too.if your kid is into tools then this is a must have,the smile on my grandsons face when it arrived made it a worthwhile purchase.

My youngest is obsessed with zombies so what else would he ask for for his birthday? This is a great toy for all those budding psychos, He's been playing nonstop for the past 5 weeks or so in preparation, it's sturdy and well made. The fact that you get to pull the cord to start it makes it that more realistic for the kids.

Looks identical to my real Stihl saw, down to some very fine detail - my little son (aged 2 years) 'works' along-side me with his saw. Realistic engine starting and running sounds and realistic chain movement during operation. Good price and deleivered quickly even in busy run uop to Christmas. Looks and feels high quality.

Product looks good and the 2 different sounds for the engine and sawing are amazingly realistic. Only bad point is sometimes the pull cord doesn't always activate an engine sound but after switching it on/off again I've always got it to work (might be something to do with the way my 5 yr old son turns it on/off).

This toy has accompanied my little one for over a year since his 2nd birthday!! HE WOULD WAKE UP LOOKING FOR IT AND SLEEPING NEXT TO IT! I cannot empasize enough how much it is worth its money! You have to follow a small procedure to turn it on and this is what my kid loves the most! i cannot recommend it enough!

I bought this chain saw for Christmas for my three year old grandson and he adores it. It is absolutely true to my partners "real" chainsaw right down to the spare chain and instruction booklet! Brilliant toy and I am now officially the best granny in the world!!! Great value for money and brilliant fun.

My 3 year old and my 1 year old love love loves this toy!! Daddy has the same one and its adorable to see them all playing together. Its durable and well made and easy to operate. Only downside is my boys discoverd the volume knob pretty fast and at its highest is loud!! All boys will love this toy.
