I bought this for my Grandson. I can't say how long the novelty will last, but after he'd opened it and I'd put the batteries in, we spent over an hour battling with them and we had a great time :-) I've noticed some other reviews saying that all the buttons on the remote controls perform the same function. They don't. They all have the functions that you would expect them to have, although the differences with the direction buttons are only slight. It may depend on the surface you are using them on. I can't see this being a toy that keep his interest for a long time but it's great fun while it lasts

Fun fun fun, the little ones loved Robo Kombat;Their eyes lit up as soon as they saw them. excitedly opening the box which took them two seconds to unbox, no wire ties or screws to fiddle with so a big thumbs up, they was playing in no time.Robo Kombat is very well made, as they have taken a bashing from the children; Once the batteries was in they was off, they have lasted well as they’ve not put them down since they were unboxed stll going strong two days later. Five stars all day long.

My kids loved these kombat robots, they haven't stopped battling! I love that you can play on your own against the AI or against each other. They are a little tricky to manouevre and we ended up picking them up and putting them back into battle position. The design of the the bots is "super cool" with great sound effects (a shame you cannot switch this off) and LED eyes, controls are easy to use and therefore suitable for a 5 yr old. Mum, Dad and Grandad all enjoyed playing too!

These robots are great fun for all age groups. Our 4 year old loves playing with them and so do we! Very easy to set up although do take a considerable number of batteries but so far getting decent life out of the batteries having had them for a few weeks. The robots can be controlled to move forward although the movement is not as good on carpets as it is on a hard floor. Can also play alone with the other robot automatically fighting back to defend itself. Good fun!

This toy has been a big hit in my house this Christmas. I brought it for my 8 year old son but my 4 year old boy wasnt happy coz didnt get him one. But they play it together.. An other great thing you dont have yo play 2 player's as you can get one of then to battle u. Whitch is good. I would buy this agin ... Adults love it too ;)

These are great fun! Very easy to use very easy to set up and very easy for young ones to use as well.Items are quite sturdy and can take a beating.My sons love them and love the AI feature to play on their own as well.The only negative i csn say really is they dont move well on carpet or rugs but move great on wood floor.

My lad wanted these for his 6th birthday. I was sceptical as he had seen them advertised on TV and often they are made to look better than they actually are and he his disappointed they don’t do the things shown in the advert. That said these robots are brilliant ! So much fun and very very robust ,we love them.

I'm not sure who enjoys playing with these robots more..myself ..my 11 year old son or my 6 year old daughter...so much fun and great interaction..controls are simple to use. Robots are very sturdy and make some fab noises too..ive only used them on my laminate flooring and they move around with ultimate ease..

I've bought robots before that haven't done what they were supposed to do. Thankfully these do - my son, aged 10 plays with them all the time. I kind of wish they had a bit more manoeuvrability but he's happy with them. They don't work on carpets which is a shame so you need a smooth surface.

I can not wait to play with these, although they are a Christmas present, they were top of my 7 year old list. They look fun & come in a well packaged box, I did get one different colour robot in my pack, from the ones shown in the picture, not that, that is a big deal.

Simply awesome, and easy to use. My 3 & 8 yr olds (they were for the 8yr old) simply love these. \simple to use and operate and great fun for all. Battery life is good and the controls seem to power down automatically when not touched.Would definitely recommend

The Robo Combat toys are brilliant & such great fun for children & adults even my youngest of 4 was able to operate it fine. They are durable & hardwearing although you need lots of batteries & to play on the floor as they don’t work great on thick carpet.

good fun to play with but expensive for what they are they are a bit flimsy they also go through batterys like theres no tomorrow every the expensive brands you have to have them in the right place to so they can sence each other or they dont work

Do have batteries to hand for both robots and controllers. Ensure that you have adequate hard floor space. Don’t use on a table. Steering take practice. The instructions are petty basic but a seven year old can quickly grasp the concept.

I purchased this for my grandsons 7th birthday and he loves it hours of fun had by all only thing I will say is I read it that you needed 3 AA and 2 AAA batteries but this is per robot so double up on the batteries but well worth buying
