I purchased the extreme micro Secure Digital High Capacity memory card to film up to 4K videos and to capture burst shooting in still cameras. In burst mode several photographs are captured in quick succession and this is where the speed of the memory card comes into play. Some background info that you may find helpful. For any given memory device, there are two speed specifications that are provided by the manufacturer and these are namely, the read and write speed. The faster the read speed the more rapid is the rate of data transfer to your computer. The higher the write speed the faster the images are saved onto the memory card. A Class 2 speed translates to write speeds of 2MB per sec. This is the sustained writing speed as opposed to the maximum instantaneous write speed. So the number shown on the memory card is the sustained write speed. Therefore a class 10 card will achieve 10MB/sec.I've used other branded 'high speed' (class 10) cards in the past and I found that during the shooting process, on occasions you can experience dropout or jitter. I have not experienced any such problems with the Sandisk extreme cards. There are plenty of cards out there that will do the job if you are just shooting standard photos or even capturing standard or HD quality videos. It is worth noting that image quality is unaffected by the type of memory card used. However using a low speed (say class 2) will process the information more slowly. It may also be less reliable and may corrupt you data more readily when used in high demanding applications.I purchased this item at full price. If the product is unworthy of a good review, I think it is unfair to leave positive feedback as this can mislead potential buyers. I hope you found the review helpful. Did a quick test of this compared to the SanDisk Ultra (Class 10) and the Lexar Professional UHS-1.When I used the inbuilt sd card reader on my laptop all the SD card read/write speeds were about the same, all extremely slow. However using the USB 3 micro sd card reader that came with the Lexar SD card there was a large difference between them (see picture for full data). The Sandisk Extreme read at about 70.4MB/s and wrote at 51MB/s. The Lexar's write speed was much slower at 24.6MB/s but interestingly my card had a faster read speed of 87.8MB/s. The Class 10 SanDisk Ultra had a much slower write speed of 14.5MB/s and read speed of 44.6MB/s.In conclusion the SD card outseeded the rated minimum read and write speeds by about 10MB/s.To make full use of the good read speed I would recommend getting something like the Lexar usb reader if you have a slower inbuilt card reader like mine.

While my previous 16GB card was, probably, going to hold all the photos I could need before getting to a laptop, 32GB does provide a certain extra leeway for the snap-happy!This card comes with an adapter to easily make it fit any appropriate device, without the adapter it's the perfect accessory for your smartphone. This card is all about the speed though. After putting it in my Nikon P530 I took a few shots on manual and, to be honest, there was still the small delay for processing before the photo displayed. This may be more the camera's job than the card though. When uploading the photos from card to laptop I noticed a real difference between this and a standard card. The read time is practically non-existent and the photos appeared in my Picasa software almost immediately.Overall, I am very happy with this card both in capacity and performance.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 mobile phone and it's integral storage was crammed full of photos. I also had loads of albums sitting in Amazon's sound cloud which I couldn't download onto my phone due to lack of space. Fortunately the phone can take a micro SD card, thereby significantly adding to its storage capacity. This 32gb card provides an additional 29gb of storage capacity. I transferred across 200+ photos and 100 albums worth of music (in very short order) and still have about 19gb of storage capacity left. I now only need to carry one device - no need to take my iPod and phone everywhere. Job done in my book! Helpfully the card comes with an adapter which to all intents and purposes increases it's physical size enabling it to fit into devices such as cameras,PCs and TVs which are configured to take standard sized SD cards. What's not to like?

I have other Sandisk memory cards in the past none of which have ever let me down (and are still going strong). So I take for granted that they'll be reliable and work without problems, and this microSD seems to be no exception. I've stuck this one in my MP3 player and I was surprised by the speed in which the files were transferred compared to the outgoing card it replaced. It comes with a full size adapter too so can be used with a number of devices. Not that it is a particular concern for me but I noticed when loading this card from 'fresh' my PC indicated that there was only 29.7 GB of capacity available rather than the claimed 32 GB. Still,a massive amount of storage on a tiny fragment of silicone and plastic. For this amount of reliable memory at such speeds and from a reliable brand, I have no hesitation in recommending it.

For use in my GoPro Hero 4 Black.I tested this card using a random write method and the card scored a whopping 28MB/s (megabyte per second). To give you context, a camera will not perform random writes so this isn't a big advantage- but sequential writes will always be quicker than random which means this is quicker than a camera will ever need- GoPro 4 can do 60Mbs (megabits, so that's about 7.8MBs megabytes- remember I said this card achieved 28MBs under RANDOM!).Now, if you're still reading and not planning on using this card for a camera, then it will be idea. I.e. Smartphones or a RaspberryPi OS will perform random writes from time to time, and it's nice to know that this card is up to the task.Honestly I won't be questioning the Sandisk brand for a while!!

.This is the newer version SanDisk Extreme Micro SDXC 64GB. At the time of writing this review I bought this memory card for a work related phone. They work fine in the Samsung Galaxy S5 mini phones. We are happy with the read and write speeds. Best to purchase directly from Amazon because you assured to get a genuine product, and in the rare instance that there may be a problem, Amazon is easy to work with unlike some third party sellers . When installed you will not get the full 64Gb from the SD card - but that is to be expected, so please bear this mind.Just the highlights:Compatibility with tablets and 3G or 4G smartphonesWorks with cameras, smartphones, and tabletsIdeal Full HD video recording (3)with UHS Speed Class 1 (2) and Class 10 ratings

Its main use is believed to be for recording video, thus its speed indicator being Class 10. However, if it's speed that you want there are faster SD cards on the market. For those of you with AVCHD, this SDHX UHS-I is plenty fast enough and when considering the size of its memory, is extremely cheap when compared with those of only a few years ago, so why pay more? I've yet to experience a drop-out or pixellation with this SanDisk Extreme, unlike may professional tape video camera. When it matters, this card fills the bill and feeds one's confidence. With careful treatment and care when inserting and removing the card, it gives years of fault free service. It surely is a reliable performer.

This disc offers enough speed capacity and durability to meet demands of an advanced photographer and is ideal for use in more advanced cameras and 4D Camcorders. This card is 10 times faster than an ordinary card and takes much better photographs much clearer. My old card was full and didn't take so hold so many photos as this one, I didn't want to delete any from there as it had lots of holiday photos which I wouldn't get again on it. With this card the quality of the photographs is excellent and I can store lots more. This is a very good price, I am not very technical but I'm sure this would be a great buy for someone who is well into photography. Excellent priduct.

Super-hi-speed, this card will do a perfectly good job of recording 4K UHD video and it's got enough capacity to mean that it won'y fill up too soon. Supplied in easy to open packaging, with an SD adapter, this is a really versatile card that. It also comes for a license to download Sandisk recovery software which I've had to use on older CompactFlash cards but not at all on any SD or MicroSD cards. I've not had any issues with this or any other SanDisk Micro SD cards so I'm more than happy ro recommend it.The only slight niggle is that it doesn't come with a plastic protective case, which means that unl;ess you're really careful, it could be quite easy to lose.

This tiny Micro SD card fits into the provided SD adaptor and the card reader slot on your PC immediately. Also without the SD adaptor it fits into your windows tablet (or other suitable android tablet) or indeed your smartphone. In all cases it gives very rapid data transfer, which means the wait to save and open files is barely detectable. At 32Gb of storage it is a great size and may make a very significant difference to your available storage.SanDisk are a brand leader in this field and always supply reliable products which are amongst the fastest in their categories.I am particularly pleased with this card and recommend it strongly

This was easy to install (I used this in my SIII) and was instantly recognised by the device. It had a fairly good transfer rate for my files, transferring well over 1000 photos in around 10 minutes, so is a great way to back up your phone. Obviously after the initial transfer, it will just save files to it automatically based on the settings you have selected.I can't really fault this. It was a really decent price, from Amazon direct, when compared with other retailers, and did the job I wanted in an efficient way. I have now purchased another for use in my tablet.

I use these cards in my pair of GoPro Hero 3+ Silvers to capture full HD at 50fps footage – they’re fantastic. I’ve had no problems with video footage capture and the transfer time to computer is also very good too. For those interested, 20 minutes of video with the above GoPro settings works out around 4gb of data so for what I film, didn’t feel the need to go for a 64gb card. These cards are recommended by GoPro on their site, which was the reason I went for them but have also bought a few more for my Sony DSC-HX300 bridge camera.

Four stars so far, after just three days, as these items really need time to tell if they're going to be any good. I have to say that I think this is going to be a good one though. The read/write speed is very good and that's usually a good sign with these items. The card to adapter fit is excellent and I find that's a big help with speed of pick up by a computer. I will update this review if there is any change for the worse but, for now, I'm happy enough with this card.

Highly recommended. Used this memory card in a Samsung phone to free up phones memory. Super fast upload speed, moved hundreds of pictures in minutes and still have tonnes of memory left on the card. I am sure this card will be used for many years before the memory is full ..... and I take pictures regularly. Great purchase, well worth the money. This item was on offer but would have paid full price, it's sooo worth it. Go Argos for making this such a top bargain buy.
