For the price this is an excellent phone, though it is a BASIC phone due to its age and operating system. This Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 (it's not the S5830i as stated but the non i has a slightly new Android 2.3 gingerbread OS) was first produced in 2012ish and has a very dated OS, which is no longer supported by Android. It also has a very old browser installed that makes it virtually impossible to surf or browse the web. Android Market ( the previousname of Playstore) is installed but it is not supported or usable, so you cannot easily install apps. If you want a phone for making calls, SMS, emails, google calendar and a good contacts list then this phone is ideal. It is small,

Nice looking product with an affordable price. It's ideal if you wish to have additional features not found on ordinary mobile phones. It requires a micro SD card to hold photographs and music files which does add to the cost. It's worth downloading the PDF manual. You may find that certain features mentioned in the manual are not available on your version of the phone & some functions that are are not covered. The phone may keep presenting warning messages about lack of internal memory. This necessitates uninstalling any unwanted Apps & data. Additional Apps can be downloaded but you may find that some are incompatible with the version of the Android operating system that is installed.

After my previous phone gave up, and being short of funds, coupled with a growing frustration with the company who I have a contract with, I needed a simple mobile that could receive texts and calls, and which I could reply back. Having previously been a user of Samsung mobiles this is ideal, and very easy to use.If there is a drawback it's the fact the battery dies in 2 days, so remember to charge it up regularly! Mine was originally made for the Russian market, so there are some things in the apps that are more for Russian use, but if, like me, this is an emergency use phone until you can afford something a bit better, then this is ideal

Is the phone I wanted at an unbelievable price! Yes! And here one reason why it is an unbelievable price: Is not set for English language.... So unless you are not familiar with for example Russian - 2 words you need to translate and that is Language and English!Step1: menu button for the settings key (geared cog icon)Step2: locale and text (язык и текст)Step3:Select language (язык)Step4;English (английский)Done! - I gave Russian as example of language your phone could be different, if you use Google then you can use Step instructions to translate what you are looking for and work out language - hope this helps some! XD

This is a neat and compact little phone which I bought as a second or spare phone to use when I’m travelling and want to use a local SIM. You definitely need to purchase a micro SDHC memory card (about another tenner) to expand the memory enough to run apps. Also you don’t get a charger or a manual, but any micro USB charger will work fine and apparently you can download an instruction booklet from the internet but I haven’t needed to as it all seems very straightforward. For the money, you can’t go wrong.

Several EBAY sellers are advertising the old GG-S5830 as the GT-S5830i. These are often described as New and have a non English language as their default and a non Samsung branded battery. .The non i version has slower CPU (although the screen sticker says otherwise), can't do some features such as wireless Tethering, and was superseded by the i version.Startup screen and the Settings - About Phone will show whether or not you have the GT-S5830 or GT-S5830i

Pleasant surprise, a phone that delivers more dependability, stability and longer battery life than more recent products. I only need Facebook messenger, and this installed flawlessly. So it is the ideal device for daily communications. Really rugged & well finished, a pity it's memory is restricted by limited capacity. Have installed a 16gb micro sd card, which can handle my photos and music. But 512mb RAM restricts adding any apps other than the default.

I was looking for a smartphone and saw this online (had read some reviews about the phone) I bought it. I did a click and collect & the phone was undamaged and I was able to set the phone up with out too much trouble and so far I have not had any problems so yes I am pleased with my Purchase. I put some music and photographs on the sd card and put it in and I found everything I needed. Lovely compact phone

A good budget priced mobile phone, easy to use, nothing fancy but able to make phone calls, send messages and take pretty good photos.It doesn't pretend to be an i-Phone.I had another galaxy ace until it broke and bought a STK 7Life. It was useless, short battery life and the screen kept closing down halfway through dialling so I replaced it with another galaxy Ace.

Needed a new phone, didn't want to spend too much money, this little phone is just what I was looking for, good price on a good phone, works well, could have done with some instruction sheet to get me going, but not too hard to suss out.It needs a card to use the camera,( which I have.......somewhere!)Very pleased with this, outshines all my old phones.

Think these are manufacturing rejects from India, the menu button in the bottom left is missing the white filter screen, basically you can see the led, and the language was set to pasha(? or Russian)I surprised myself by getting into English in a few clicks, considering I've never used an S5 before, and I'm very happy with the cheapness of this phone

I am not a tech head, I have only used a basic mobile phone. On decided to upgrade my phone I chose the same make that I am used to, it took a couple of days for me to understand and get to know the new phone. I was surprised on how much the phones had improved, also how easy it was to get to know and use the phone and I think I made a good choice.

The phone is a good little size phone only problem is because it is an old model phone it don't use all the up-to-date apps but if you do buy the phone use for a replacement phone till you get a new one not a day to day phone to use for normal day use if you rely on the internet but can still make calls and messages but small memory on phone

I brought this as a first phone for my son, he’s only 10 so didn’t want to spend to much money, and this is exactly what I was looking for, he talks to his School friends, play games, gives me grief from his bedroom through text.. it’s perfect.. simple and compact, would definitely recommend.

Love this phone. Is compact and easy to navigate around. Easy to use too. Can have all my photos and music and con acts (phone numbers and emails) etc all on one device which is fantastic! The best features in my opinion is the alarm clock, memory pad and calendar (for reminders etc).
