The drive looks good and is almost silent, well worth the money.I cannot compare speed as this is my first external drive but I managed to copy 120GB in under 1 hourAs I use a MacBook Pro I had to re-format the drive but this was no issue and the instructions where excellent.My only gripe is the length of the usb cable which is about 1m. I'd have preferred at least 2m so I could store the drive under my desk and still plug the it into my laptop.

I have used it several times and, although I'm slightly nervous after reading a few reviews about external hard drives suddenly failing to be recognised by the computer and all stored info therefore being lost, so far I haven't had any problems.

A GREAT external Harddive. start up very quickly and run silent-very quiet.Pleasant to the eyes a bargain at this price.
