I have had two of the 1Tb versions of this drive for a long time. There has never been any issue with either of them. I use them play home movies (converted from Quicktime to MP4) through my Sony Blue Ray disc players. I have several other main brand (e.g. WD passport, Toshiba, Iomega) external hard drives and unfortunately almost all are just not recognised by the BD players. Sony don't appear to publish any list of compatible hard drives :(.USB3 drives that are supposed to be backwards compatible with USB2 definitely don't work with the BD players.There are some reviews describing erratic performance. On a computer it's always worth trying using both of the USB plugs on the "Y" connector,

This is a great hard-drive.Do not pay extra just to buy a brand you've heard like Toshiba or Samsung. Intenso is a German brand and isn't that popular yet but I am very happy with the product.The hard-drive looks sleek, it's shiny and doesn't smudge so easily.It comes formatted in FAT32 with about 930GB of actual space. (For those of you who don't know FAT32 means it can be read by your PS3 or Xbox BUT the max size each file can be is limited 4GB. You can format it to NTFS to have files bigger than 4GB but then it will not be readable by your PS3/Xbox)Personally I have part of the Hard-Drive as FAT32 so I can put store some movies on it to connect it to my Xbox.

I've bought two Intenso drives so far, 1Tb and a 1.5Tb models, which I have had for four and two months respectively. Initially had a problem getting the Hard-Drive to work on my G4 Mac, but after contacting Intenso Support they said it just wasnt gettin enough juice from the one USB and needed to attach the second one as well (wondered what that was for!). My laptop has only one USB port on either side and could only fit one of the hard drives USB's at a time. Problem solved though after i got a USB Extension Cable to plug them both in, Working like a charm! Very Pleased with it, its speedy enough transfer speed for my needs and works on the PS3 and PC so very versatile to boot. Two thumbs up from me.

Of course, the less you notice a product like this, the better it is! It seems to be coping perfectly with my demands, which include backing up the MP3's I make from some of my other purchases. I appreciate the two-pronged USB lead that is included since, while my computers can power it from a single port, my "toy" 7in tablet needs a bit of help. Recommended.

I bought this hard drive as I had a much larger older one with less space, so far I haven't had any problems at all. The hard drive was quick transferring my files over and it is very compact and light weight. Considering that you have 1TB of storage and it doesn't cost that much I would definitely recommend that you look to purchase this!

Fantastic disk, slim, quite fast and very quiet, quite fast as it is only 5400 but for portable 2.5" it is no easy to get 7200. Generally very pleased with this purchase. Intenso is German brand and if it is German I am expecting lasting quality and reliability, so far after 2 month of playing with this I am very happy.

The item is small, functional, quiet, does not need a separate energy supply through a mains and, since I bought it two months ago, has not let me down yet. A great product (which you would expect from a German manufacturer) available for little money (which you would not).

I bought this to backup family videos and photos. My old portable hard drive run out of disk space, at 1tb this is ideal, I can get everything one the one drive. I would advise anyone buying one of these to get as much memory as they can afford.

i used this to backup my whole laptop. all my music, pictures, videos, documents and webpages all saved as well as laptop computer files updated and backed up to save upset if something ever did happen to my laptop. Definatly a good investment!

I have had this hard drive for a few months now and cant fault it. It has a western digital 5400RPM drive inside which is not the fastest you can get but it does a great job backing up my data & the speed is fine for me.

Arrived efficiently, great value for money, endless storage, haven't had any problems what so ever with it, been using it for over a month storing my million photos I have..

Purchased two of them back in January of this year; very handy and has the capacity along with the speed that I need for storing data onto when I'm the road.

Another good product from Intenso. So easy to carry around. It is compatable to whatever computer you need to plug into. Highly recommended.
