This is somewhat of an intriguing perfume - mix of notes wise and also in terms of presentation. First off - I have to say that bottle looks slightly less classy in real life than it does in the photos. It has a strange plastic top that you have to twist somewhat weirdly to remove, and the bottom part doesn't sit in the hand very easily. They've clearly gone for a big "love" message visually, the perfume itself is actually really quite nice if you can get past the packaging. When I first spray it I can predominantly smell the citrus tones. When it settles down it is, as billed, an interesting mix of floral and spicier scents, quite musky but not over cloying. It has quite good staying power and is a "grown up" scent - interestingly as I am really not sure who this is marketed to, possibly a youngish market.I like this perfume more than I thought I might, especially after an initial poor impression wrestling my way into the box and then into the bottle. It's light enough for every day wear. I wouldn't say I'm in love with it, but it's perfectly pleasant in a retro sort of way - it puts me in mind of the Poison my mum used to wear. I'm not entirely sure I am the target audience of this scent, nonetheless I quite like it, and it's good value in my opinion.

Assessed by my wife, who liked it but didn’t rate it as an all-time favourite:“The packaging is nice and red is the obvious colour for a "love" fragrance. It took me a little while to work out just how to open the bottle, but when I did it was so obvious and very easy to snap back into one piece. I like the design of the bottle - a heart in two halves, which could mean a heart broken in two or two hearts as one (hopefully the latter). It’s an odd shaped bottle, and I feel it would be secure in my handbag, but it’s fairly bulky (important if, like me, you have a handbag which is heavily laden, not necessarily all your own stuff!)The smell is very reminiscent of DKNY red apple perfume, which I already have; I compared the two, and at first there didn’t seem to be a great deal of difference. However, the Revlon did not last as long on my skin as the DKNY, so you would need to use more of it to maintain the effect. The actual fragrance made me sneeze quite a bit, though this may have been a one-off.”She felt it was good value, just not quite to her taste, but of course perfume is a very personal thing, so with Valentine’s Day looming this one could be a contender to buy for the lady in your life.

On opening the packaging of this ‘Revlon Love Is On Fragrance’ received for review purposes I immediately thought how it would make a great gift for Valentine’s Day. The uniquely designed red glass container is heart-shaped but also appears as kissing lips, and it perfectly houses the plastic cap and spray mechanism as well as the contents. It looks great. However when buying perfume, eau-de-cologne etc. it is fragrance of contents that dictate choice – and though Revlon suggest numerous scents of flowers, fruits and spices this is a bit like the language of wine experts. I am not a connoisseur and choice is a personal matter, but to me there is a light pleasant smell with an old-fashioned attractiveness, and my wife and one of my daughters find it subtly fresh and lasting. It is not sickly sweet or cloying as some heavy varieties – but in any case I’d choose this ‘Revlon Love Is On Fragrance’ product for the cute shape and spectacular colour of the bottle – as a great gift.

'Is the heart-shaped* bottle just a trifle tacky?' I enquired of my partner after unpacking this fragrance. 'Not at all', he answered automatically not even vouchsafing a look in the product's direction. But that's men for you: they couldn't care less with what the container looks like.I tried on a couple of dabs however and he admitted it smelled 'sweet and fresh' although he could not pin down the exact nature of the scent. It's maybe a little bulky for the bag - a straighter bottle would be more practical - but its aroma is very agreeable, and it's a robust enough scent to last all day when worn for work,or as a more subtle splash to be worn on a night out. Moreover it doesn't come with a ridiculous mortgage-the-house price tag.* it also resembles a pair of lips in both colour and shape. Just thought I'd mention it!

Not as easy to remove cap as it could be - it does not twist off but needs to be levered upwards. The bottle may be considered to be either heart-shaped or suggestive of made-up lips, or a fusion of both and 'ideal' for Valentine's Day. Once opened, the bottle has a spray cap.The fragrance is mild and very feminine and not overpowering or intense. Probably intended for the younger lady, it is a modern inexpensive alternative to the major brands..The fragrance has some citrusy content with several floral notes, too. The bottle may need a redesign for sale beyond the Valentine's period and for better accessibility.

Reading the description of such a long list of ingredients in this perfume, I had no idea what to expect or whether the result would be an unpleasant clash of scents. But I was very pleasantly surprised. I would describe the fragrance as quite high notes of citrus and floral, without any heavy or cloying musky tones like Obsession for example. I thought it quite a sophisticated fragrance which works well both in the office and for an evening out. The bottle itself to be frank looks more like a duck's bill than lips, but it's original and eye catching. I'm certainly happy to wear this regularly.

This is a cute little bottle that comes nicely presented and would make the ideal valentines gift. It won't break the bank and would make an ideal compliment. The scent is nice and light which develops with musky tones. My nose unfortunately is not discerning enough to make out all the notes listed but it settles down to a really pleasant smell that lasts. As nice a design as the bottle is it's not really portable but the scent is young and fresh so it's a hit in my house.

Arriving in a bottle that's been designed to within an inch of its life - although getting the cap off was niggly - this is a light floral perfume with a hint of musk (according to my girlfriend). The scent is subtle rather than overpowering, so although she was pleased with the perfume you might need to reapply the perfume a few times while you're out and about, as the scent can't be relied on to last all night.

I really liked this perfume and thought it was reasonably priced. The packaging is eye catching and unusual although not the easiest bottle to hold and spray! Its a lovely fresh smell and one that lasted reasonably well. It's a very light but quite sweet scent so will certainly be down to personal scent preference, however overall I thought a reasonably priced and nice looking perfume.

A very novel idea for a gift (with Valentine around the corner). I thought the bottle might look a little tacky (based on the picture) but the real thing looks really nice, and quite fetching. The bottle sits nicely on the dresser, although it is a little stiff to twist and open. The fragrance itself is subtly sweet and not at all overpowering, plus it lasts for sometime . Very nice

This a lovely perfume for a younger woman especially. The bottle is a fun red heart shape in a nicely packaged box so would make an ideal Valentine's gift. The initial top note for me was quite a deep rose, which gives way to more subtle vanilla and cardamom notes. It lasts well and is quite a heavy scent - so maybe more for evening wear. Good price point too.

This warm, appealing perfume with soft fruit tones is one of those rare scents - one that both myself and my wife like! We can both be rather choosy about fragrances, with ones she really doesn't care for having an adverse affect on her (ie headaches, nausea), but it's a very nice scent and, more importantly, not overpowering.

A delightful light fragrance that is ideal for daytime wear. A very nice price tag (£15 at time of writing). The heart shaped bottle ia eye catching. Revlon encase the bottle in a clear plastic flimsy bow and Amazon sent it out well packaged. The wife really likes it.
