I was given this perfume as a present some time ago. It is not something that I would normally choose, but I decided to give it a go as my favourite expensive perfume was nearly running out and I didn't want to waste it. I was impressed by the quality of this perfume and continued to use it on a day to day basis until it finished. When I came to the end of the bottle I decided to buy some more and was shocked at the price. I didn't realise that it was so reasonably priced. I would never have thought that it was so cheap to buy, as the quality, as I mentioned before, was very good. The scent lasts all day and depending on how strong a scent you like , one spray is more than enough,in my opinion.I like perfume to be very subtle but I presume it's all down to individual preference. Now that I know how cheap it is, I have actually put the bottle downstairs in the hallway so anyone can use it as they are leaving the house, so you can afford to be liberal with it. When friends come round, I've seen them spray a little on their coats etc as they are leaving. I can objectively say that the scent is good as all my friends like different types of perfume and all of them have said this smells nice.My husband hates the smell of strong perfume, especially floral and sweet scents. He has not complained once about this one.(or may be he's just given up!)In my opinion, the smell itself is quite intense, crisp with wood and bitter citrus notes, like grapefruit but not grapefruit. I'm not sure if that makes sense to anyone but that's how I would describe it.I would say the scent is quite neutral as it has very little floral notes. I would say that it is like a unisex fragrance, a bit like ck one but obviously with a different smell.I would however say perfume choices and suitability are totally unique to the individual, in the sense that you either love them or hate them. I think perfumes also smell different on different people, due to them mixing with an individual's natural body smell. I don't know about you, but I have sometimes loved a fragrance one of my friends is wearing , but when I check it out for myself at the shop, it doesn't smell so nice anymore.(and no, I am no more smelly than the next person, in case you're wondering!) I would advise going to a department store to try them out before you buy off the internet especially if you are planning on buying something pricey.Overall for Charlie White isa great product for the price and good enough for daily use.I have posted a picture to show how far it goes-100ml bottle.Been used for about 6months, approx 2 sprays per day. Less than a fifth of the bottle gone. Superb value.

I was asked if I’d like to review Revlon Charlie Eau de Toilette - Gold - 100 ml, and I said yes.Two brothers named Charles and Joseph Revson, and chemist CR Lachman founded the Revlon brand in 1932 during the Great Depression.This perfume arrives in nicely designed gift box, which is all gold. The wording on the box is in both brown and white.You’ll find that the bottle is made of glass whilst the top is plastic and in gold. Both the bottle and the top have the wording Charlie on them.This is an Oriental Floral fragrance, which features orange, apricot, sandalwood, plum, amber, cinnamon, musk, violet, freesia, peach, jasmine, caramel, cloves, cedar and rose.This is an Eau de Toilette,which means it contains 5-9% of perfume oil, (it doesn’t last as long as Eau de Parfum).At first when you spray the fragrance on you, it’s rather over powering but within about ten minutes it does settle down and the fragrance becomes lighter.The fragrance roughly lasted on me for about 2½ hours.Age wise I‘d say this perfume is for young women aged from 16 to about 25 years old.It would make a lovely gift for anyone who loves the Charlie fragrances.

I remember using Charlie as an every day use perfume quite a few years back so trying this one out called White by Revlon bought back a few memories. This White fragrance is a lot lighter I found than the original one I used this one is more of a sandalwood aroma. Pleasant and for the size of bottle 100ml a good value everyday Eau de Toilette that you can use without feeling like you are breaking the bank. It might be some people’s taste but not others. Could be a bit like myself if you’ve used the brand before you are more likely to try it again. For me a good go to everyday doing the school run scent that I can just spray and not worry about using it up too quickly due to the size of the bottle.That’s the thing though a bit of a big glass bottle for carrying around in your bag.Boxed the same as many years back and personally I think nothing has changed with the bottle design either.

The fragrance is very pleasant. Slightly citrus with floral undertones. (A bit unusual - normally it is the other way around. The effect is a fresh 'clean' smell, without reminding one at all of cleaning products! Quite clever. The floral side and the clean vibe are what someone remembers. A daytime-only fragrance I would suggest. Not very seductive.The packaging, however, is not ideal. The box came easily crushed in the post. The bottle itself is fine, quite elegant really. What lets it all down is the tall plastic cap. It's meant to hide the rather basic spray unit, but is too high and too light, so gets easily knocked off - in a handbag for instance. That action puts stress on the spray nozzle,which I can foresee leaking due to that. It's also just cheap plastic gold-finished. If kept at home and applied at home, it's a good buy for those who like fresh smelling perfumes.

Despite lots of my friends wearing various Charlie perfumes in our teenage years, I missed the boat on them the first time around. I was interested to try them and I started with Charlie Gold and I was completely surprised. I really like it! I was so shocked at the price - it smells so much more expensive than it costs. I reminds me quite a lot of Gio by Giorgio Armani, which cost a pretty penny whilst it was still available - this is about a tenth of the cost and still available to buy - so buying this could save me loads of money. It doesn't last quite as well, but it still lasts!I thought that I would be equally impressed with Silver and White, but sadly not. Much more harsh on initial spraying and fading really fast.Interesting scents but nothing special and I wouldn't order them again. Gold is the most valuable of them all - it's all in the name after all!

Revlon's Charlie Eau de Toilette – Silver, has been around for quite a while and I guess it takes it's name from one of the company's founders - Charles Revlon. Other fragrances in the range include Charlie Gold, Charlie Red, Charlie White and Charlie Blue and my wife finds Charlie Silver to be one of the most pleasant of all of those varieties. It is currently around a fiver for 100ml so is good value and at that price could make a handy stocking-filler this Christmas. My wife says this Charlie Silver fragrance is best for daytime use although being an Eau de Toilette the aroma does not last as long as an Eau de Parfum would. This is a budget Eau de Toilette that many users will get on well with,and although my wife would not use it regularly she finds it nice for a change. Four stars for good value at the current price.

Other fragrances in the range include Charlie Gold, Charlie Red and Charlie Blue and my wife finds Charlie White to be one of the least pleasant of those varieties. However, it is currently around a fiver for 100ml so is good value and could make a handy stocking-filler this Christmas at the price. Now the smell from any of these Revlon perfumes, eau de toilettes called Charlie make me think back to quite a few years back. A time I used to use these whenever I wanted to start the day feeling good.The aroma of this one called Silver is lighter than the original heavier Gold aroma. A long lasting and staying scent to it considering it’s an eau de toilette and for the price for such a big bottle you can use it without worrying about how much your using. Bottle a bit big for just throwing into your bag though for using throughout the day that’s the only thing I would say. A good classic eau de toilette gift for any one you know that used this back when it first came out to remind them ofback then.

This is definitely a fragrance built for the coldest weather as I can see that is where it will truly shine!When I spray this it opens up with a very soapy apricot that reminds me of the opening of amor amor by cacharel, followed VERY sweet plum and amber swathed in cinnamon and cloves.As time passes (around 30-45 mins) the musk and amber emerges leaving a powdery skin scent. The silage is MASSIVE especially during the first hour. It lasts on my skin for over 8 hours too!!A well-rounded scent, it's not playful or fun but safe. It's not what I like in a fragrance, but smells like what it's advertised by Revlon. You can't beat it for the price!!

I'm reviewing Charlie White. I got this for my teenage daughter but I really like it myself. I remember wearing Charlie body spray when I was a teenager in the nineties and spraying this took me right back 25 years! I really like the scent. It's fresh and young. This is a big bottle too and extremely good value for money. My teenager was over the moon. No you won't be popping this into your handbag for a top up in the evening but it looks nice enough on a bedroom shelf. Personally, I don't think the scent lasts as long as a more expensive brand but as a beginner's eau de toilette it's perfectly adequate. I would definitely buy this again.

I have just added Charlie Silver to my ever-growing collection of Charlie perfumes, and this one is as luscious as all the others. With notes of apricot, magnolia, peach, lime, pear and lily-of-the valley, this is a very light, fresh and clean fragrance and would be ideal as a summer perfume, albeit I am wearing it now! It is long-lasting, and the sillage is good, too. The bottle is very simple, but perhaps it reflects the simplicity of the perfume - it is just nice and clean and fresh and uncomplicated. As an everyday perfume, this is perfect, and you can't argue with the price! 5 stars to Charlie Silver.

I was given 3 different variants of this perfume to try and this was the only one that i liked.It is light and fruity and i feel like a tropical ray of sunshine when i wear it, ok that is an exaggeration but you know what i mean, sometimes you can just smell something and it instantly makes you feel better, and this one just worked for me, it suited my skin and i was asked by a lot of people what i was wearing and when i told them they were all shocked that it was revlon and costs 4 quid a bottle.It stayed on my skin all day. Very impressed.

This is - for us - a throw-back to the 70's when Charlie was a teenage girl's 'height of sophistication'! Times have changed, and so has Charlie: this is a less heavy scent - much fresher and lighter: it doesn't seem to last very long, but leaves a pleasant floral fragrance for a couple of hours. Good sized bottle - will last for months - and because it's so light, nice and easy to spritz whenever you're passing... And who knows, perhaps a new generation of teenage girls might think this sophisticated too!

This Revlon perfume is a useful staple, it has been popular for many years yet still feels fresh and modern. This 100ml size makes a very acceptable gift for all age groups or a long-lasting treat for yourself. The scent is not too sweet or too musky. I like the sandalwood undertones. The eau de toilette lasts several hours, but if working long days a little refresher spray at lunch is a good top-up idea. The glass bottle is recyclable.
