Be warned this is not a lightweight flan dish. The glass seems thicker than the average flan dish.I use flan dishes as dinner plates and as walking with a stick means I carry plates with one hand and gravy can get spilt. The edge of a flan dish/plate stops the gravy spilling over the edge.I too did not realise the height of the fluted edging so here is the height.The edge is 2.25" or two and a quarter inches high - which is just a smidgeon over 6cm.The dish just fits fits in my small microwave.Looking at the dish I realised it would be ideal for cooking shop bought paella as I can remove the dish from the microwave and use a spoon to stir the paella without any falling off the edge or stir in the microwave..

Large and deep based fluted flan dish. Brilliant for any type of flan, I bought 2 and made a blueberry clafoutis on one and a raspberry clafoutis in the other, perfect for this and because it is glass you can see the layers of the flan so it looks good too. I love pyrex stuff, so easy to use and easy to pop in the dishwasher or round under a hot tap with a sponge and washing up liquid and clean. Good purchase can't fault

Nice size dish of good quality, but also small enough to fit in a large halogen oven if you have one. We had one of these already but wanted a second one. They're good value for money and easily come clean in the dishwasher. They're suitable for cooking things like chicken portions and potatoes in, so they get a lot of use in our house.

Great quality - nice and easy to clean and fun to be able to see food inside (especially if layers). So far it seems very durable, too.Is a little difficult to grip but with the right oven gloves and a firm hold problem solved,

This is a lovely quality fluted dish for tarts, quiche and a number of other uses. The pyrex glass supports slightly thicker edges on my tarts which will be great for fruit tarts as well. Very pleased.

I haven't used it yet but it's a good size. I have a flan dish from Pyrex which is the same style and is exactly what I wanted for making quiches. So I'm sure this will be great for making pies.

Really loved this when it arrived, promptly. Great size, love the depth, is perfect for quiches, pies and tarts. Great quality as expected. Love it. Easily 5 stars....

Generously sized pie dish that does what it says on the tin. I find the depth of the dish to be a very positive feature, and had otherwise struggled to find one!

Quick delivery and safely packaged. Perfect size. Great for tarte tatin because you can see when the sugar has caramelised. And so reasonably priced.

Arrived next day and I used it straightaway. Perfect for flans, quiches and desserts. Easy to clean and stacks inside other (I bought two).

Bought this as an identical replacement to one I gave away because it was such a useful size/shape. Great for all kinds of pies, tarts etc.

Good big deep dish. I bought Pyrex becuase I am tired of plates being damaged in the microwave and decided to use this from now on.

This is a nice deep dish , good size, perfect for flans or big quiches. The dish I made easily served 15 , could stretch to 20.
