My Daughter has been looking forward to this releasing for a long time. She's save every penny for the last few months. She's played the first Garden Warfare for hours and hours. At 11 years old she's too young for CoD modern warfare, and as a FPS fan she loves this alternative. I wish more parents knew about this as I'm sure their children would be perfectly happy with this age appropriate title, instead of. Call Of Duty. You're basically getting Call Of Duty Gameplay, but without the blood, graphic violence and bad language. She was really happy when I managed to get her copy today from my local independent game shop. He said it's not supposed to be on sale until tomorrow but kindly let me take my daughters copy.I paid £45. Which is expensive but worth the money if she gets the same hours of entertainment and gameplay as the first one.She disappeared up to her room and we haven't seen her since:)I've asked her her thoughts on the game. (I've not had a chance to play yet) These are the features she loves about it.* It didn't take long to install on her Xbox 1, about ten minutes after inserting the disc, she was playing the game. Some of her games have taken hours to install so it's great that this installed so quickly.* The controls are more or less the same as the original, helping the player to jump right in to the action, rather than spend time getting used to controls. She said they feel instinctive and natural.* She loves the new hub area from which many new modes are accessible. She said it's like an open world hub that you can explore. A bit like the level select area in the Skylanders titles.*Single player missions. She said she loves how she can now complete missions on her own. This option wasn't available on the first garden warfare.* new unique characters.* A grinding level you can play, she said this is good for gaining xp and levelling up quickly as well as being fun to play.* The ability to import your characters from Garden Warfare 1. We haven't tried this yet as she's been busy playing, but I'll be transferring them while she's at school. I'll update if there's any problems.*Much better graphics and animations. She said it's a much smoother experience than the first one, and that the animations are much more clearer, sharper and fluid. One concern I have, which she hasn't mentioned is that like many modern games, this requires a constant online connection. Meaning that if we ever have work done in our area she can't play. It's something that may never happen but thought I'd mention in case any of you have a bad internet service. There is a code for two days free Xbox live gold trial included in the games box which is nice. I don't have a use (I have another code for two days free, and also one for two weeks free) for it as we buy a years membership at a time, so if anyone would like these codes, please feel free to email me via my profile and you can have them.Overall, while pricey, this game has a lot of content and several different play options, it's a child friendly alternative to Call Of Duty and if you've enjoyed the first Garden Warfare, my daughter says you LOVE Garden Warfare 2.I hope you found my Daughters thoughts helpful and she said if anyone has any questions, she will answer the best she can.

Played all three of the main PC titles and this one (as you'd expect) is the best yet.I'm way older than the usual player of this but I love it anyway. I still kill (sorry, vanquish...) people online, shout out various "Ha ha"-type expletives at them (they can't hear me) and then read their username - Timmy12. It was only a year or so into the game that I realised "Timmy" was probably born in 2012 and is now crying with mum because someone keeps killing them. Having realised this, I continued to act in exactly the same way because I like winning - 2 years on and I've still not got bored of vanquishing people (there are plenty of grown-ups on there too). There's loads to do,EA are still updating the game and the online servers (although much quieter) are still active. The boss hunts (I've finally done them all on every difficulty and have some very nice hats to wear and boast with) are fiendishly difficult because the match-up system doesn't match up skill levels, so your team of 4 will 99% of the time have at least one player who has no clue how to do it (it's a team thing with methods of defeating the boss). Frustrating as any game I've ever played, but the reward and sheer elation (relief?) at having just completed the Crazy level Yeti King, Sasquatch or Spooky Squash for the first time is worth the money on it's own!The silliness, decent graphics, comical childlike violence (shoot a cactus in the back as he's running away and you'll get the picture) make it a brilliant way to unwind and kill time, while also raising the heartbeat just enough to remind me I'm still alive (but not too much to make an oldie like me drop dead from a heart attack...).Garden Warfare 3...? Yes please!!!

I try to be as conscientious as I can when letting my children play video games which mainly involve shooting and killing various things, however, I bought the first game some years ago and have been impressed with the way my children have continued to play it ever since and have noticed that even though the games are a little violent its done in a fun way unlike others that are on the market. When I saw the trailer for GW2 I thought I've got to get me(the kids) this game. It cost me just over 40 pounds and being a prime member I got free next day delivery!I feel that the second instalment improves over the first in every way(my kids words), but it is easy to get to grips with as the majority of the aspects have pretty much remained the same. The developers have added some new nifty characters, new game modes, a new hub and a few other improvements. As with the first game there is an option for downloading premium stuff but that is controlled by a responsible adult(my wife) so this is cool.My children have played this for a few hours today which has given me a bit of quality peaceful, sort of time. All in I give it 5 stars for a better, more visually pleasing and well thought out successor to a great title!!!

The game is good, fun, etc with many improvements over the original. My son wanted it for his birthday, luckily I decided to load it onto the PS4 the night before (so he wouldn't spend 90 mins waiting for the updates) to find out that a) You have to have PS+ to make it work, and b) even though the game is PEGI 7, EA REQUIRE you to have an origin account, and you need to be 13+ to get one of those. EA don't ask your age though, they just get it from Sony - so if you have a child account (for your child, so you can use parental controls) and you use this to set up the game it will LOCK THE ACCOUNT UNTIL THEY TURN 13. There are hundreds of angry parents in forums complaining, but frankly EA don't care once they have your money. To be clear, there's a local mode (1 or 2 player, with quests, etc) but you can't even get to it without an EA Origin account.5 stars for the game, minus one because they should have put a 13 sticker on the box to avoid so much disappointment.

This isn't just for kids.I've been a fan of PvZ since the early pc game. Popcap's humour is second to none it's silly but so well done that everyone can enjoy the details. The first Garden warfare was a risk that paid off for Popcap, and this second game adds everything the fans wanted and more. To debunk some myths about the game, yes you need to be connected to the EA servers to play so a Internet connection is required (don't get the hump about it, the game relies on the servers to deliver a seemless transition from playing on your own to multiplayer) that's just how it is so don't moan. Secondly, there is a solo mode, it's short and sweet but it's there.A few missions a bit of a story nothing too taxing but enough to be interesting. Thirdly, you CAN play split screen.Like PvZ? Get this. Have kids that like PvZ? Get them this. Are you an adult with a childish sense of humour? Definitely get this game.

This is a sequel to Plants and Zombies Garden Warfare and is really good fun.You can see the progression in all the weird and wonderful characters on both sides. My son is 9 and hasn't stopped playing with this game. He's a huge fan of the Plant vs Zombie franchise (I am too, although it has got a bit beyond me now) and this game really triggers his imagination. When he's not playing the game he's coming up with this own plant and zombie designs, which I think is great, as video games so often get a bad press for killing imagination. The game is best played online, where you pick a side and join forces with others, although you don't need to interact with the other players in any other way.I'd recommend this as a non-realistic shoot 'em up for tween gamers.

Having played (& thoroughly enjoyed) the first PvZGW, I was sceptical that the sequel would be nothing more than a re-release with a couple of extra characters & levels (an extension, if you will), I was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't. There's an array of characters on both sides, all with unique abilities. The inclusion of a campaign is a welcome addition as its predecessor was very much only based on online multiplayer. To summarise, this instalment feels like more of a complete package & a definite improvement. A much needed fun and family friendly take on the shooter genre.

This was for my 7 year old son.He loves this game, in fact it’s his favourite and he plays on this game much more than the others when he has his Xbox time. You can also play split screen / multi player which he has done.In the game you can unlock lots of new characters by earning coins during the game and spending them in the shop, which generates some of the repeat play interest. There is an option to buy the coins with real money, however, we have never had to do that as he has earnt the coins in the mini games.A definite recommendation, especially for the younger age group

I love these Plants Vs Zombies games! The biggest downfall of this however was removing the ability for two people on the same console to play at the same time, In the first game they had a "god" mode via the Xbox App, this was fantastic, added an extra element to the game and made it so that when one person was playing, the other person would play on the app and then switch round. Unfortunatly this was removed in the second game, which... was an issue for us, however, still a very fun enjoyable game to play.

Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 is the game to play. It's a huge upgrade from the first in the series, with extended maps, more content, new characters with the addition of quests to keep you occupied. It is far harder than the first but definitely more fun. Popcap are extremely responsive to customer queries like certain classes being too OP, and they have already announced that they will be changing it to make classes more balanced. Great plus in my opinion.

17.6.2016

This game is jammed packed with loads of extra content such as quests, secret areas, multiplayer maps, thousands of customizations to unlock and free DLC!I'm very happy with the amount of content with in the game! However the only negative is the amount of multiplayer modes there is. There's enough to keep you entertained and with free DLC I'm confident they will add more. There are loads of other single player modes and quest to keep you busy.

29.2.2016

Great sequel to the original, it has everything you want, new maps, new characters, a new single player mode, new appearance items etc, some things still need balancing (Rose) but otherwise I'm still having lots of fun, the graphics are great but the art style is what stands out for me, it comes across as a game for children but I reckon it's for all ages. Also some modes are split screen so that's another plus.

28.3.2019

I purchased this game for my son's 7th birthday. I didn't really look into it, but it looked the kind of thing he would enjoy.Well! He absolutely loves it. I'm "mean mummy" as i don't let him play Fortnite, but this game is a compromise on it really! He loves playing as plants to kill zombies.Easy controls - my 5 year old plays too.I've had a few turns and it is rather fun.

25.2.2016

First of all the game now has single player, coop, and multi player. The coop is upto 4 player fighting off waves of zombies, multi player is plants vs zombies. But single player is were it gets interesting you can do campaign levels that open up the map but all the time there is a war you can join in any time it's well worth upgrading from first game. This has it all

Great game! I was concerned about the whole online thing and folk saying you need a paid for PlayStation account (PlayStation plus account) to play online etc.I looked into this prior to ordering.I'm pleased to say this game can be played online with just a WiFi connection and no PS PLUS account. My son is loving this game, he plays this more than any other game.
